open your q3config.cfg (probably in "/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Quake3/baseq3/") in TextEdit. Search and change the following lines:
seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customaspect "3"
seta r_customheight "900"
seta r_customwidth "1400"
if these lines are not available in the config, just add them to the end of the file
there should be a separate league for touchpad-defraggers
