@hajifan394 Sorry if this is late but I suggest bring a max potion to make your health higher. then get some power seeds/armor seeds and stuff like that. Last thing I suggest is using prediction and being patient. sorry if this doesn't apply to you anymore
@hajifan394 well... this might help you... use flashbomb.... bring 5 then bring 10 bombmaterial and 10 flashbugs so you can combine again and make flashbombs.... the flash him and while he is confused hammer his head... but be patient... and also bring shock trap, and two net and two genprey fang so you can make 2 more shocktraps... but atleast bring combo book to ensure you wont make garbage when you combine.... just hit his head....
now if you dont like this method i suggest you to use hunting horn easier to use than hammer... but when i was new in this game i dont use this method i just grab my longsword and slash it.... but the fastest way to kill it is by greatsword... there are alot of weapons out there... try to experiment...
Why not magnitude ?? I mean , this hammer pwns all too , but magnitude has higher raw (and you get 10% affinity with RA+2) i just want to know, cuz u saw lots of people usin this hammer instead of magnitude.

@tdickhaus i really got in GSi9ng a few days ago , its sooooo epic , i should get a good GL armour set (have any advice?) and star usin it more , but GS ftw with art of unsheating , fokus and sharpnes+1 (especially king atilard =D)
@kutkuknight Well with gunlances, if you are going to use shelling, aim for spread type then long type, they do the most damage. Once you hit g rank, normal type is really only useful for linking combo's together. Sharpsword and speed sharpening are really nice when using shelling, as it kills sharpness. I also like guard +1, a good 2 hit combo is tri+O, tri. and after that second hit you go right into a guard stance. really nice :D

@wowgek7 LOL! I almost did too though you couldve Bowgun/Bow him its easier not that risky too. Nargacuga gave me hard time until I figured out how to dodge its tail. I'm HR8 btw
@TheArcanaEnds yeah I killed it finaly when I got freedom unite but the elder dragons are tough 1 I encountered so far can only be killed by range if you get to close your health drains insanley fast and kirin was way too powerfull as well I havent tried chameleos yet because he wil pown me too
@wowgek7 Oh Teostra and Lunastra are my buds :3 Chameleos isnt that hard if you stay at his back legs and use fire DS. Try getting Kushala armor it negates that effect (Terrain Damage Negate).
@TheArcanaEnds lol luna is just impossible without range because I am not talking about terrain damage but about some kind of fire auro that luna has and I dont use ds it worked great at the start but the damage ds have now is pitteble low and kushula I am not sure but I think hepowned me hard because he stayed in air and I could even hit him once
@wowgek7 Yeah that fire aura is part of terrain damage try to get a weapon called Eternal Schism it becomes one of the best Dragon DS at the last upgrade also look at ShimmerArcs vid on hammering it is possible it melee her. I use hammers, LS, and GS to fight her and Teostra if you can make her fall the aura will go away and if you destroy her crown (Need 1 point of Dragon Damage) the fire aura will go away

@wowgek7 Hmm I did it with Blacksmith (Hammer) thats just me cause I like KO'ing monsters. The easiet one people say is Kushala, but I started with Chameleos. Dont worry about the main damage of DS theyre based on elemental damage and the higher the element the more damage that goes through regardless of defense so that 520 would go right through. Also what armor's do you have a good one for those 2 quests is Rathalos Soul U cause of HGE.

@wowgek7 I LOVE to GS charge Tigrex with Khezu shockblade he screams with every charge3 xD and any weapon is good with any monster just gotta know how it works and when you can hit like the Tigrex when it turns around by the time you finish the charge it should land directly on his head this is a good example of how the charging system works theres some good GS charging guides out there aswell I was able to GS charge a plessy

it's impossible to start fighting in HR9(i always start in my camp, or inside the cave).. dude it would be more awesome if you use "Killswitch Engage - My Curse" as a BGM hehe! all in all very nice play, that move on the tail to his face was so nice! ^_^

well yes the only thing dats difference is our weapon u use that chaos broker while i use the magnitude... if im not mistaken chaotic order, the final form of chaos broker only has 1532 raw ryt? wyl magnitude has 1612. quite a big difference... and ye im usually sent to zone 8 were the tigrex is so we start fyting immediately.

I recommend Eager cleaver for whoever is stuck in the 4* Urgent Quest. Up the Iron Katana Path. I used it to kill my first Tigrex. Takes a while, but it works. U just need strategy.
and what happend with that tigrex? i don't undenstand why he didn't make more charges, his best attack. He allways caught me with a charge, and then while i'm on the ground he continues... is really nasty XD
How in the world can i beat this guy in 4 star missions? i can't get nothing better than a green sharpness (where are the bloody monsterbone+?????) wich is a total bullcrap against this guy, it takes forever to kill him (and i can't even kill him once to unlock 5 star missions, even using a lot of stuff against him).
I will explain. First off, This is hunter rank 9 and that means that this Tigrex is 10 times more powerful than your every day Tigrex. The one you are fighting is weaker than you claim. I kiiled my first Tigrex with the khenzu shock sword and killed him with abot 16 minuts to spare. In fact not to brag. But with that wepion I killed 7 of them. And it had green shapness. All it takes is skill and a nice set of armor and you can take anything down. Also he did not charge because he never had time.
Man you got some serious talent on that enemy! I'm HR8 and im having difficulties on defeating it. i already killed a high rank and low rank tigrex but not this one.
You mean how many quests do you have to beat to get the Tigrex quest? Well, I think I had 1 or 2 left in 4 star quests when the Tigrex quest showed up. I left Kushala Daora for last.. Hate that bitch. >_>

I've been using hammer and ALMOST getting it, but i keep resetting after i die twice cause i never seem to bring enough status boosters. Meh.

@ ln96 he used earplug jewel I think u need 1 garuga ear, 1 battlefield jewel, and 1 hornetaur head. For sharpness i think u use expert jewel

well yes the only thing dats difference is our weapon u use that chaos broker while i use the magnitude... if im not mistaken chaotic order, the final form of chaos broker only has 1532 raw ryt? wyl magnitude has 1612. quite a big difference... and ye im usually sent to zone 8 were the tigrex is so we start fyting immediately.

I recommend Eager cleaver for whoever is stuck in the 4* Urgent Quest. Up the Iron Katana Path. I used it to kill my first Tigrex. Takes a while, but it works. U just need strategy.

I will explain. First off, This is hunter rank 9 and that means that this Tigrex is 10 times more powerful than your every day Tigrex. The one you are fighting is weaker than you claim. I kiiled my first Tigrex with the khenzu shock sword and killed him with abot 16 minuts to spare. In fact not to brag. But with that wepion I killed 7 of them. And it had green shapness. All it takes is skill and a nice set of armor and you can take anything down. Also he did not charge because he never had time.
