This theme rocked. Shiro was awesome on this route, beating both Archer and Gilgamesh. My favorite part was when he vowed that he wouldn't be able to defeat any other servant besides Gilgamesh since they both only use weapons that aren't their own. I thought he was badass for that!!

There is no "good and bad" in Fate/Stay Night. Also, there is no good end, where everyone's happy. In every route, there always is someone who lose everything... Archer, Saber, Sakura, Ilya...

@Blazeboy Well, I understand Gilgamesh kills Zouken in Fate and UBW so Sakura wouldn't be so screwed. Slightly. As she doesn't absorb any of the heroic spirits, I don't think the worst to her would be remaining merely Shiro's "sister".

Ilya, on the other hand, is pretty screwed no matter how you look at it. She has what, 1 year to live?

Far as Fate goes, while he'll miss Saber, Shiro and Rin would probably be there for each other. It appears their feelings are the same as on UBW.

as much as i know.... in FSN visual novel, saber-san luck is high.. if u read "gae bolg" description .. it can be evade by having high luck %. For enuma elish, saber hv high magic defense ability, tsubame gaeshi ( if u read carefully in VN, eventhough sasaki kojiro did the tsubame gaeshi to saber, at last sasaki admit he do something wrong before tat )

She survived Gar Bolg due to her high "luck" stat (funny thing, if Lancer used Piercing Lance of Death Thorns Archer would prolly get owned since Rho Aias works better on projectiles and Garcher has worst possible luck), Tsubame Gaeshi because Assasin blocked Saber's sword instead of deflecting it and Monohoshizao bent, and Avalon which allowed her to completely ignore Enuma Elish... Ok, that one's just an ultimate HAX

@Aumanor Archer also has Eye of the Mind True, which negates the NEED for luck via sheer training. If there's a chance for success, he'll succeed (also Rho Aias is STATED to have blocked Gungir, the Lance of ODIN without being broken, Gae Bolg used all its power to pierce it.). As noted though, Avalon blocks EVERYTHING (Immune to even the 5 Great Sorceries, the ultimate fortress) and Gae Bolg's Thrown form forgoes the Heart Piercing Curse for additional power, so it's actually avoidable.

@henryhenriquez The thing about Avalon is that it supposedly only works when Saber is magically connected to it. There's a great deal of discussion about how even though AValon is inside Shirou, he couldn't get much use out of it - Shirou was living a normal life, got hurt and took time to heal. Only when Saber was around was Shirou able to live through fatal attacks.

So, it's argued that Archer/Shirou could project Avalon, but he can't use it without Saber connected to him.

That, he can. But projecting Excalibur and firing off a blast is something Archer wouldn't be able to do. He doesn't have enough prana for that unless he's a proper Counter-Guardian and not a Servant.

Projecting something like Gae Bolg should be simple for him though. I mean come on, it can be used Seven times in a row. That alone makes it a hax weapon if it 'misses' the first time.

No. You can't 'buy' the English version as no official one exists. You could theoretically buy the original Japanese, but it'd cost you quite a bit.

@blazearmoru Nah, the anime wasn't bad. I'm not saying it can compare to the VN, but it wasn't bad. They just tried combining all three arcs to appease VN readers, but still tell the FATE arc. They didn't succeed very well at the combination, and they totally changed Caster's role, but it still wasn't bad. It got me into anime, to tell the truth.

He's refering to the Visual Novel, which also exists for the PS2 (but with no ero-scenes). However, you mean "Fate/Unlimited Codes" by "the game on PS2", then that's not the one.

The PC version WITH the ero-scenes would be recommended though, even if you'd rather just fast-forward the ero-scenes. This is because the erotic elements in FSN actually plays a part in the story, and removing them completely would result in some confusing scenes or plotholes (hi, CG Dragon from anime).

The anime is far from one of the best animes out there, but the VN is probably the absolutely best VN ever made. My personal fav route is HF, though UBW got some crazy awesome scenes as well.

I watched the anime. And while it started off promising it only left me with an half-assed impression at best in the end.

...Then I played the game, and my mind was blown. Over and over again. Be prepared though: FSN really is a visual NOVEL. And a pretty thick one at that. Every route is like 3 times your average Visual Novel. But it's well worth the time it takes reading, for it's an epic masterpiece if there ever was one.

And archer emiya is incredibly mobile with the largest plethora of abilities of all the servants. The general feeling of badass that follows him is cool too. Good choices.

In my opinion lancer Chu Chulainn is one of the most underestimated servants, I get an impression that some people might think of him as an underdog because of him being easily killed, I see it more as unfortunate, for example 1st route, he kicks the bucket by a blade shower in a cramped basement. 2nd route, command spell.. now thats just not fair.. 3rd route, well he was one of the first to die, but hey every other servant got owned too by you know what.
