We paddled the Cascade in 2003, three of us in solo boats. We took the exact same route at the beginning as well as through the final canyon and camped in many of the same sites. It was an extremely difficult trip but one that left us with a great sense of accomplishment.. We too underestimated the time needed but were able to camp below the falls on Superior. We set up camp at 9pm and were picked up at 6AM!
Dan, After seeing the Cascade videos I had to watch the Dog and Puk. Great work. We are putting a Puk trip together for this May and did the East Puk in 99 or 2000. I'm sure it will be a good trip although I will surely miss having 3-4 days of upstream travel as we did on the Cascade. Take care and keep a paddle in the water. Maybe we will run into you again some day.

EXCELLENT video expecially since I did the Cascade trip in 2005 and in fact we were your water taxi (park boat) companions for the ride back to Hattie's Cove. It was great visiting with you guys during the return trip. There is a lot of familiar scenery in the video. Keep up the good work and above all, keep paddling.
@tmackey62 Tim, I am glad you found this video! I have our Dog and Pukaskwa videos uploaded too. Two years removed from our trip I can only recall how beautiful the Cascade was... I can even walk past an alder bush and not twitch uncontrollably.
I feel honored to have shared the world premier - still awesome after repeat viewings - congratulations on a great trip and an excellent video product. Would love to see this on the big screen - hint hint!
Pure awesomeness!!!! just finished watching all 3 parts! The approach looks like hell - but wow! what a beautiful river and land! Congrats on persevering and accomplishing such an expedition!
