  • I have a 45 (single) called "When Sin Stops" interpreted by the Nighthawks

back in the late 50's. Are these the same guys or sons of those?

  • my dad knows all of these guys personally and whenever we go to my dads friends' parties these guys are always playing live for us. i bet i have seen them at least 8 times. i love 'em!

  • Back in the 70's these guys played at the Cellar Door in GTown, and I remember catching them at the Scorpion in State College PA, with Greg Allman. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

  • I saw them 1992 in a club in (east) Berlin 2 years after the wall came down - they are great and played a fantastic concert - fabulous

  • "Did you know Mark Wenner?" "No, I didn't know him from Adam"

  • I do know Mark from Adam--I went to elementary school with both of them

  • I think my brev-va went to Western with them. Anyhow he knew them from youth. Didn't they go to B-CC? My brevva hung with the keyboard player from the flyin A's, ever since cub scouts. If you guess who he was, I'll say "yes", but I don't want to tell my true identity.

  • I went to Somerset Elementary with them, and then to Western Jr. High. After that lost touch with them as I dropped out, but saw Mark for the first time in 50 years in December. Is the keyboard player you mention Kevin Walsh or Guy Dorsey? Would love to know what happened to Kevin Walsh.

  • The Nighthawks were my first live blues band experience at a club in Gerorgetown in 1977. What an amazing introduction to the blues! Glad to see they're still rippin' it up!

  • Well they're not Paul Butterfield. But, for all that, Paul Butterfield wasn't Paul Butterfield either, after the first album.

  • Join the Nighthawks and the Pick Up The Phone Suicide Prevention Tour Sept. 26 & 27 2009, Warsaw Virginia!

  • Don't go !!

  • I wish there were some of those shows from the Bayou! They were some great shows! Still are great!!!

  • yep i remeber the bayou well...drove by where it used to be in georgetown the other day..Nows theres only an office bldg.

  • The Bayou! geez. None of my friends would ever go to that place. I think I saw the inside of it once. I forgot it even existed.

  • They ain't older, just better. Talk about GETTIN' it!

  • Ok. So I'm not what you would call a "blues" person, but I saw these guys last night opening for the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Unbelievable. Can't wait to see them again.

  • I saw these guys in Naples,Fl. a few years back at the ridgeport pub and they rocked the house. A couple of guys near the stage were assholes and they fell onto the stage and almost took out the guitarist with a mike stand. The guy playing harp kicked the guy and pushed him off the stage and then kept playing. It was fucking RAW!

  • That gutar player is SMOKIN'

  • Sounds GREAT!!!

  • Always Killer,...for more thae 35 years!!

  • Absolutely, without a doubt, one of the all-time great blues bands! They are a national treasure! And in top form here!

  • Excellent Nighthawks, thanks for the post!

  • these guys rock i love them so much love sharon.
