I was there (I'm in the video as well). Stevie Wonder was not there. However, Bootsy Collins was there. He was seated on the arena floor, which was where family, friends, local leaders, and various celebs were seated. Bootsy got up to join the band for a handful of numbers. Ali Woodsen, former Temptation was there, as was MC Hammer, comedian Bruce Bruce, Dick Gregory, and of course Michael Jackson. It was an unforgettable experience.
I´m very sad..because I missed his concert in Czech Republic (Europe)...I thing, that black americans created all of great music in 20th century..they have great rythm feeling....God bless Mr.Soul
I'm new to youtube and I'm so glad that people like you allow total exposure to events that most aren't fortunate to attend. Thanks sooooooooo must for sharing!
Stoney, Hey it's Vickie (Jamie and Michelle's friend). I saw you at the funeral we were sitting to the left of the stage right by the painting 4 rows from the floor. You walked by several times but i didn't want to yell your name out to get your attention. This is a great video thanks for sharing it... hate I didn't get to talk to you there it was great!!!
the crowd went crazy when he walked out!! It was amazing I am not even that big of a fan anymore but when I saw him in person I could not believe it!! The energy in that room that day was amazing I will always be grateful I was a part!!
hey thankx for telling me that! I'm glad he got a good reception. I think ppl need to give him a break....he's worked hard for his past successes and he's always given back. Not guilty is not guilty. Move on and let the man make good music.
What room were u talking about? I thought it was open air?
They always asked me: Name three songs that get you up when your sad"
I always answered:
Get up offa that thing
I´m a soul man
I Got you

Thanks for posting this--a terrific series of clips of a funeral like none other.
The former Temptation singing gospel is Ali Woodson.
I wonder if someone has the entire clip of Vicki Anderson singing "This is a Man's World."
