awesome I grew up there in Antonito there was a couple of movies filmed there one was Where the hells that gold, and another was indiana jones the last crusade it was great waking up to that whistle in the summer!!
@xykarthegreat While riding the Cumbres and Toltec some of the set locations where pointed out along the way. After the trip I watch some of the Indiana Jones movies and I was able to recognize some of the locations. One such location was a tank near Chama that was built for that movie. It was not a full tank, but a spout that Jones spun around on. I would love to go back out west again and take another trip on the Cumbres.
Really nice video. That's really a beautyful part of the country. That engine has quite a voice on her dosen't she? How far does the trip go? Is it an all day ride?
Thanks, Yes! it is beautiful county. Would love to move there. #487 does have a bark while working the grades. Even can hear her all the way in the back over the wind. This is the all day trip to Chama. Still working on uploading more segments.
