this is a great idea, but it still can be perfected. you could use a rotary bit to make a nice design on the edges, maybe make a cleaner cut, stain the wood, use your file and file vertically file from the back until the groove is deep enough so the wire will go into it and secure with glue. this is a great video, and a very nice cheap concept.
