Basically whether you love him or not he has good skills. He is good on his double bass pedal and playing on the toms pretty well. its not fair to compare a metal drummer to jazz drummers. its kinda stupid to come on here and say "dude this guy sucks." when you KNOW that he is fuckin awesome. now obviously hes not the best drummer in the world and there ARE a lot of other people out there, famous or not, alive or dead, who are better than him, but at least give him some respect. is deftones nu-metal? if it isnt, then you shouldnt even bring it up. you can only compare drummers of the same genre.

Honestly, he was'nt prepared for this solo or something. Pay attention, his timing is sub-par. And of course a 4 foot midget can play upside down, his arms are the size of his sticks! I was just looking at drum solos, this popped up. I'm not trying to make fun. I'm being honest. If you're in a popular band, you should be able to do this solo, just because you get alot of practice. And he's a metal drummer! Of course he can play fast! He's a metal drummer!

HAHAHA slipknot ain't music. And Joey Jordison is only fast and good at double bass. Deftones kids knows where it's at. Steve Gadd or Tony Royster would probably melt Joey into a pile of the crap. Or if you prefer double bass madness, look up Derek Roddy.

Haha. double bass fest. hey, try checkin out steve gadd or vinnie Colaiuta. those are some world class drummers. And yes, dave weckl, (without some of his attitude that comes with it) and virgil donati, the australian badass. :) this solo is nothing hard. just keep your feet workin and your hands jumpin from tom to tom and you got it!

to be honest, it was great at first for like 30 seconds. Then he falls off beat and does not do enough enunciating his further skill. Even further along into the 2 minute range his double bass pedals start to go off beat. He loses tempo! and he's a pro?

Does he know how to ues any drum besides his bass? If you want to hear somes drummers with real skill look up John Bonham, Buddy Rich, Stewart Copeland, Billy Cobham, Chad Smith, or Keith Moon.

Basically whether you love him or not he has good skills. He is good on his double bass pedal and playing on the toms pretty well. Even if he doesn't grove or anything like that don't try to act like you could play it. He is a great drummer, it just depends what people prefer or what their opinions are. Either you like him or you don't that's your opinion and what makes us different.
