1) Did you guys use 74ls04, 74ls08, and 74ls32 chips for the digital dice piece? and
2) Is your digital electronics class setup using project lead the way?
my digital electronics classes first project was the digital dice which was on a pcb, instead of a breadboard, so, ours used the chips mentioned above, two 74ls74 chips, and a 555 timer and some additional components.
you guys are a amazing... i'm in first years electrical engineering and we didn't even get to this yet.

1) Yes, our class used the 74ls04, the 74ls08, and the 74ls32 integrated circuits for our dice piece.
2) This was a project lead the way class.

why did u use black wire? it's usally used for a ground
