Souness and Hansen are Scottish while Didi is German and Ossie is Argentine; you have Souness, Ossie, and Didi on one panel and you get one really entertaining 30 minutes of commentary; this will only be found on RTE not Sky, ITN, or BBC. The boys on RTE hold pull no punches and that's why they have the best show in the entire world of football.

what? Irish pundits are mostly pathetic....O'Herlihy's a good natured lad but he knows fuck all about football. Giles & Brady, very good players but lack personality on TV. Souness, legendary hard man on the field, sometimes does give incisive thoughts but mostly goes with the flow. Dunphy is the only pundit I'd switch channels to watch. Same goes with most Irish viewers. The RTE head honchos are well aware of this which is why they always forgive him.

@cupomash I'm Indian-American and I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. RTE's panel is 10x's better than BBC's pundits. And it has nothing to do with nationality. Souness and Hansen are Scottish while Didi is German and Ossie is Argentine; you have Souness, Ossie, and Didi on one panel and you get one really entertaining 30 minutes of commentary; this will only be found on RTE not Sky, ITN, or BBC. The boys on RTE hold pull no punches and that's why they have the best show in the entire world of football.
