  • Im having problem with this step in the installation:

    # specify GNU-ARM root directory

    ifndef GNUARM_ROOT

    GNUARM_ROOT = /cygdrive/C/cygwin/GNUARM

    endif

    # specify NeXTTool root directory

    ifndef NEXTTOOL_ROOT

    NEXTTOOL_ROOT = /cygdrive/C/cygwin/nexttool

    endif

    Any help please? :(

  • and we still pay so much money to buy a segway

  • Boring. No offense guys but the lego pneumatic arm is more cooler than this.

  • i have a gyro sensor but my nxt computer think cant use it too old vision is it possible to upgrade it for i know that the computer is the same just other softwere

  • can you make a program tut video?!?!?!?!

  • Segway Pimpin!

  • I'm also working on it, but I have a controller based on fuzzy logic

  • i uploaded the code by ./rxeflash.sh comand after makng NXTway_GS_OSEK.rxe in cygwin by 'make all' comand bt my program which was in samples_c/nxtway_gs directory is not balancing the segway and neither is gamepad controling its movements, my segway tries to balance itself in the begining if u put it on ground but then after a while its wheels start move in 1 direction im using standard tires, am i supose to make any changings in code? and need to upload extra code for gamepad....any help plz?

  • can we make this with the lego mindstorm nxt 2.0 kit

  • Thanks a lot! Finally got it working yesterday, after fighting with cygwin... Very nice creation, and OSEK is great for real time applications!

  • can i have the program?

  • Would this work with NXC too? (sorry if this question has already been asked)

  • omgomgomgomg

  • Super smooth!

  • nice!

  • Hat jemand eine Anleitung fürs Programmieren und Bauen

  • how do you control it? bluetooth, IR ? what is the range of it?

  • wooow I've never seen one work that perfectly, what language did you program it in? I'm trying to to make one controlled via bluetooth phone but I'm having problems getting it to balance, I'm using robotC, any help you could give is much appreciated!

  • can you send me the programm please

i have tried to make it by my self

but it dosent work so good

  • awesome!

  • Search in youtube "NXT AR" the first result is the best segway without gyroscope(simple), with ligth sensor (more difficult)

  • hey

i searched at the internet but nobody built a waterlevel.

would you build someting like this it would be funny

  • whats the resolution of the gyroscopic sensor

is it better than 2.5 degrees

  • 1 degree / sec

  • I use a Hitechnic Gyroscopic sensor. Please refer the document described in the video information area.

  • Ah! Very nice!

  • Would be fun to make a robot that followed you around =3

  • bulid a ramp and try to jump from it :P

  • the gyro sensor method is much less wobbly than the light sensor method and the gyro sensor method can go on rough or uneven terrain where the light sensor cant because it looks at the ground for input.

  • would the acclelerometer sensor work as well as the gyro sensor?

  • Man this is AWESOME!

    REALLY REALLY good 5 stars

  • Hi !

    I'm a french student and I need help for a project !

Can you tell me please what sensors do you use? Do you use a Gyroscopic Sensor , a Ultrasonic Sensor or a Accelerometer Sensor ?

    Thanks

  • How do you get a remote control to work (i have a 360 controller i want to use w mine)

  • wow That's the most stable

i have the original rcx 2.0 set, if i had a rotation sensor I'd make a balancing bot.

  • he is using a gyro sensor, not just the rotation sensors

  • yea but you can work out witch way the robots weight has shifted using a rotation sensor and a weight brick (or a lump of blue tack)

  • good point

  • wow!!!

    Wich program you use??

  • FU!@#$ING AWSOMEEE!!!!

how the fu!@#$ did you build this shi!@#$? can i build it with my own nxt kit, or i need to get special sensors?

did i say its FU!@#$ING AWSOME already?

  • I'm glad you like NXTway-GS.

I have uploaded the building instructions that describes the required products. Please refer the URL described in the abstract of this movie (click "more info").

  • Absolutely amazing, the drunken bit at the and made me laugh.

  • I'm impressed! How much do the gyro sensors run for?

  • this has to be the most impressive mindstorms segway yet, I think!

  • Hello, your NXTway is the best for me. I want to build and program this bot. Cant you send me the code and instructions please?

  • Please refer the URL written in "About This Video" section. It includes building instructions of NXTway-GS. NXTway-GS program is included in the latest nxtOSEK (LEJOS OSEK) directory (See "About This Video" section for LEJOS OSEK URL). It is an auto generated code from Simulink model and might be difficult to read.

  • @yyamakun hello , i have the nxt kit ( first ) and the gyro sensor and I found buillding instructions but how can I install nxtOSEK ? I tried to install cygwin and all those tools but I never found the software

please just say me where can I download it please

  • This is fantastic! Very impressive! I can't wait to build something like this on my own.

  • very good !!!!!

you could send to my e-mail instructions?

  • Please refer the URL written in "About This Video" section. It includes building instructions of NXTway-GS.

  • This is cool! I would like to know how to do this, would you mind sharing your instruction on how to do this?

    Thanks

  • NXTway-GS program is included in the latest LEJOS OSEK directory (See "About This Video" section for LEJOS OSEK URL). It is an auto generated code from Simulink model and might be difficult to read.

  • I have uploaded NXTway-GS Simulink models and documents describe the controller algorithm. Please refer the "About This Video" section.

  • That is really cool. I just got a gyro sensor and I was trying to get ideas for how to use it.

  • would love to see that code of yours

  • I don't write the code but generate it from Simulink model automatically. Unfortunately, the auto generated code is not friendly. Instead, I will upload a document describes controller algorithm summary.

  • Absolutely the best balancing NXTway I've seen! Great! The LOJOS OSEK firmware for the NXT is really interestig and very powerful for realtime tasks like this. What an incredible softwarte performande (reaction speed) in multitasking you demonstrate here! Very nice. 5/5

  • I will be building one of these nxtway pretty soon using my new gyro sensor, but I think i may need some help with the programming. Can you program a NXTway using the software that came with the lego kit? Or do you have to use some special coding program?

  • I use latest Embedded Coder Robot NXT Demo as a Development Environment. It enables us to simulate model & code generation using Simulink (The Mathworks product). I am writing documents including NXTway-GS building manual, controller algorithm, and so on (Sorry, it is not finished).

  • nice very nice!!!

    Have you ever used Vissim?

  • I have not used Vissim yet.

  • Excelent robot. How did you compensate for the gyro drift and for how long?

  • I did not compensate the gyro drift but have checked the robot can stand for an hour or so.

  • very nice little robot. With any luck I'll get a NXT system tomorrow. How did you get it so it was controlled by the Playstation-like controller? Would it work with a normal playstation controller or do you have some sort of special make?

  • I use NXT GamePad indroduced in LEJOS OSEK / Utilities page (See "About This Video" section). NXT GamePad enables user to remotely control a NXT robot which has LEJOS OSEK via Bluetooth by using a PC analog game pad controller (HID spec). I have not tried a normal playstation controller.
