@welderman27 If it's for racing and you can show your racing credentials, new 50D2 powerheads are available in the U.S. through Richmond Aero Marine. Otherwise, you'll have to watch eBay for used parts. Thanks to the E.P.A. for making it more difficult to get what we need.
@welderman27 I don't think the 50D2 powerhead will interchange with the TLDI. It's a different animal. Get in touch with Richmond Aero Marine and ask them to be sure.
@jeff55v the EPA laws are so screwed up they complain about these things not running efficient but hell we still are dealing with the dam oil spill down here in the Gulf , I don't know none of it makes any sense
man thats fast,,,really like your videos,,,osa came to puerto rico and raced one of my boats,,he said he knows you for a while now and that your awesome at what you do,,,hes in my video and raced on of my boats,,,he won all heats in his class,....kepp up the good work...
I race a 50 Tohatsu in the Yukon 800 race in Alaska. Stock, nosecone water pickup allowed. Wish to communicate with anyone with performance info. Wish to regear lower unit, etc. Run 800 miles, 50-70 mph, spin about 6000-7000 rpm, 22pitch cleaver prop.
Yes, 50hp. Actually, I think it dyno'd out at 53hp. But close enough. It's sure a lot of fun to drive! With the small boat, the sensation of speed seems multiplied.
How do I get my hands on the tohatsu power head?

Sounds like a bunch of pissed hornets! I love that sound. Up close it sounds more like an Indy or Cart car!
