Here's an analogy for those who don't understand: People like vanilla ice cream. People like chocolate ice cream. Don't tell me you've never seen someone who likes both? Same thing for sexuality.
Awesome video. I'm bi myself have had 5 boyfriends before I met my wife. I've been happily married now for 20 years. I've never cheated on my wife but if anything ever happens between us my last boyfriend said I'd better call him lol. Thanks Luv ya.
Obviously bisexuality exists. There are people attracted to everything, animals landmarks you name it so it's highly likely and absolutely true that bisexuality exists
I'm bi, and have had relationships with both females and males. Of course, everyone has a preference, and I am mostly attracted to males. Yet I am attracted to both, and proud :)
I'm bisexual and will always be, believe me. :D I'm a girl, and I have a boyfriend. We've been together for almost 1yr. I've had one crush on a girl and the rest for guys. And one bf before my current one. Never even kissed a girl (but only kissed 2 boys). For 2yrs or so I've considered myself as bi-curious, and last december admitted myself that I'm bi. I look at men and I look at women. But I only love and want to kiss my bf. If everything works out, we'll be together forever! :) <3
@lazerybyl well, because instead of being 100% or close to liking only guys or girls, you like both. Soo, it would make it that much more confusing when your trying to figure out your sexuality, for me anyway it made me feel extremely confused. It's already kinda hard to admit you have any feelings at all for the same sex, so if you still like the opposite sex, I felt that i didnt need to admit that I like the same sex.that i could be "normal".. but, its different for everybody, took me years.
Wow is it that hard to believe? People are straight, people are gay, people are sort of in the middle. It's possible to be in the middle? Are people that thick, its common sense.
nothing to do with the video... but about gay marriage... in america separation of church and state applies to everything and if most churches dont beleive in gay marraige than the U.S. government needs to do its fucking job and just legalize it permanently.. and people dont reply with a bunch of comments.. im 16 and just stating what I do know about laws and the constitution
@AhoyChancy I agree with you totally, but unfortunately a lot of people see gay marriage as infringing on their religious rights. It's kind of a straw man argument but I bet you'll hear a lot of that in response to this :/
I just openly identify as bisexual to everyone i know. I'm a guy I'm like 70/30 or 60/40 women to men. It does at times worry me that people will just assume I'm flat out gay because of gay guys using bisexuality. But for me to try to like tell people I'm only straight, and then state attraction to a guy, or for me to leave it unsaid and have people assume I'm gay and then be puzzled that i have a girlfriend to me is just way more confusing for myself and everyone else. I'd rather just be open.
I totally agree. Some"bisexuals" round up their orientation to either straight or gay on whichever one is more larger for them. Others just openly state to themselves they are bi. I've defiantly met both kinds.
@LxE100 I'm Jewish, so to start with I never even bought the whole Bible anyway (only the first half-ish). But I, like everyone else in the world, think that religious texts are living breathing documents and that God has the Him-given ability to evolve his views over time.
@lazerybyl Oh. Jews won't be saved from the fires of hell. God doesn't change his views. These are fixed and universal laws that never change. You either believe in the Bible, or you don't. You can't just believe half-ish, because by rejecting anything in the Bible, you reject the author of the Bible. You reject God.
Leviticus. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
@LxE100 Fortunately for me, we Jews don't believe in Hell, so that's never really been high on my list of places to avoid - especially since the modern conception of Hell isn't even in the Bible but was written out by Dante in the 1300s. And I'm sure you've heard this question many times, but no one has ever given me a straight answer - ok, so Leviticus might say that, but what about the verses where the Bible prohibits eating shellfish, or encourages killing disrespectful children?
@lazerybyl Leviticus is pertaining to antiquated dietary codes and passages that are no longer relevant to the teachings of the New Testament. These were secular laws that were in place in a time long ago. Many people deliberately distort Scripture to fit their own confused theology. This is not only a complete manifest of ignorance, but a blatant misrepresentation of Christianity. Hell is Biblical. To say it isn't, is a blatant lie. Let me give your more information.
@LxE100 I don't understand how you can say that anything in the Bible is antiquated while simultaneously saying that it's the ultimate truth. Doesn't your rejecting parts of Leviticus carry the same weight as my doing the same?
@lazerybyl Just because certain verses in the Bible are antiquated, doesn't mean the Bible isn't the ultimate truth divinely inspired by God. I'm not rejecting Leviticus, because these laws aren't meant to be followed by us anymore. When Christ came, God established a new covenant of faith and love with mankind. However, the moral and ethical teachings of Jesus and His apostles call for even greater self-discipline than those of the Old Testament. You reject moral and ethical teachings.
@LxE100 And who are you to say which verses are antiquated and which ones aren't? What I'm getting at is it's a fairly mortal decision to say "oh, I'll follow these but not those," and I just don't understand how your choice of which verses to keep following is more valid than mine.
@lazerybyl I didn't say which verses to follow. As I said before, God established a new covenant of faith and love to mankind. This means, most of the old secular laws, are no longer to be followed. This is why traditional Christians, follow only a small amount of these laws. The same thing has been being done since Jesus made Peter the first Catholic pope. I think Jesus teaches us these things at "The Sermon on the Mount." The Catholic Church is God's one and only true church.
@LxE100 But how can you distinguish between which things are old secular law and which things are God-given mandates if the whole Bible was supposedly delivered by God? And if the Old Testament is so unimportant to contemporary Catholicism why bother even printing it in the Bible?
@lazerybyl The teachings of Jesus, the Council of Jerusalem, and other New Testament teachings (John 1:16-17, Acts 13:39, Romans 2:25-29, 8:1-4, 1 Corinthians 9:19-21, Galatians 2:15-16, Ephesians 2:15) make it clear that Christians are not required to follow the Old Testament rules about crimes and punishments, warfare, slavery, diet, circumcision, sacrifice, feast days, Sabbath observance, ritual cleanness, etc.
@lazerybyl Christians still look to the Old Testament scripture for moral and spiritual guidance (2 Timothy 3:16-17). But when there seems to be a conflict between Old Testament laws and New Testament principles, we must follow the New Testament because it represents the most recent and most perfect revelation from God (Hebrews 8:13, 2 Corinthians 3:1-18, Galatians 2:15-20).
@lazerybyl However, freedom from the Old Testament Law is not a license for Christians to relax their moral standards. The moral and ethical teachings of Jesus and His apostles call for even greater self-discipline than those of the Old Testament (Matthew 5:21-22, 27-28, 31-32, 33-34, 38-42, 43-48, 7:1-5, 15:18-19, 25:37-40, Mark 7:21-23, 12:28-31, Luke 12:15, 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, Galatians 5:19-21, James 1:27, 2:15-16, 1 John 3:17-19).
@lazerybyl In conclusion, the Old Testament is a foundation to our moral and ethical beliefs. This is why it's so important. There are also things in the Old Testament, which aren't in the New Testament, that we must know.
@LxE100 But how do you delineate what is a "moral judgement" and what is a "crime" according to the Bible if all of these citations result in some form of worldly punishment according to the scriptures?
@lazerybyl Listen. Anything in the O.T that conflicts with the teachings of the N.T are no longer to be followed. That's how you can distinguish the 2.
I'm not extremely knowledgable in the Catholic Faith either. I know enough to realize that it is the one and only true faith, but not enough to explain thoroughly on such topics.
To get a more accurate answer, email mhfm1@aol.com. Ask them the same question.
@LxE100 Well...no. You might want to do some more research and get back to me then. Until you can really support your arguments personally, I'll just consider them invalid.
@lazerybyl I have supported my arguments personally. Don't avoid the truth, just because you personally don't feel like I can support arguments, even though I clearly can. Don't be dishonest about it. Send an email to mhfm1@aol.com to get more information on the subject. If you want to stay ignorant becuase of your personal feelings, that's a huge problem. But, no one can stop you. I suggest you find the truth.
@LxE100 Why would I contact that person? You and I are having a discussion and you're unable to support your own arguments and theories. In the real world, that signals the end (and victory) of a debate.
@lazerybyl The only reason I recommend contacting them is for a more specific answer. Again, I'm perfectly able to support my arguments, as we have both seen. You're blatantly lying to defend your diabolical stance. If I'm showing you where you could get an even better answer, that requires barely any strength to accomplish, and you won't even hesitate to email them, this signals that you don't want the truth. You want to remain in sin, and thus burn in Hell.
@LxE100 "I'm not extremely knowledgable in the Catholic Faith either." Clearly you can't support your arguments if you're not that knowledgable. You weren't able to answer my questions and aren't willing to look into it yourself to do so.
@lazerybyl No, you're completely misunderstanding me. Just because I'm not extremely knowledgable in the Catholic Faith, like a pope or a saint, doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. I know much more than the average person who claims to be Catholic.
I've already supported my arguments, and refuted your diabolical stance. What questions do you have left? I answered all of them.
Again, I showed you where to get an even better answer, but you refuse to do it.
@LxE100 You still haven't answered this question: "But how do you delineate what is a "moral judgement" and what is a "crime" according to the Bible if all of these citations result in some form of worldly punishment according to the scriptures?" Surely both the OT and the NT have some secular laws written in. How do you know what is still applicable and what is not? Because certainly the NT isn't followed to the letter anymore either.
@LxE100 actually thoses verses can be ignored....we are not ment to follow the levitical laws anyomore and God is not limited to a book he can change his mind example (hebrews 8:7-13) also look at the many times God decided to do something in the old testament and peopl like moses or other prophets were able to pray and plead with God to CHANGE His mind
@DNel123 No, not all the versus in Leviticus can be ignored. That's a complete lie. Anything in the O.T that conflicts with the teachings of the N.T are no longer to be followed. Jesus teaches us that secualr laws were no longer to be followed, but morals and ethical teachings were in (John 1:16-17, Acts 13:39, Romans 2:25-29, 8:1-4, 1 Corinthians 9:19-21, Galatians 2:15-16, Ephesians 2:15).
@LxE100 like i said please read HEBREWS 8:7-13 its only 7 verses and it explains what I said WE ARE NOT ment to follow the levitical laws anyomore only follow the example of Christ. i actually took the time out to read the verses u outlined and the frist one romans 2...states that we shoud be jews inwardly and speaks of circumscion of the heart NOT by literally folowing the previous laws
@DNel123 (continuing from previous comment) the levitical laws were ment for THOSE people in THAT time we are under a new law and 'the old one is obsolete' (i quote this from hebrews 8:7-13) again the old testament and things written in the bible are written 'for our learning' (romans 15:4) so we can see theres always a happy ending for those who love God. its written as a strict guideline that or God is bound to things change but His Love is the same
@LxE100 (continuing from previous comment) Part two.. the levitical laws were ment for THOSE people in THAT time we are under a new law and 'the old one is obsolete' (i quote this from hebrews 8:7-13) again the old testament and things written in the bible are written 'for our learning' (romans 15:4) so we can see theres always a happy ending for those who love God. its written as a strict guideline that or God is bound to things change but His Love is the same
You know I was thinking a bit more - you were the one to begin the negative slant into this conversation. I think by stating that you wished to hit people over the head with a shovel was a good start to this. You know what I think? I think that I really struck a nerve inside you regarding you claiming to be 'bi'. And isn't the comments section put here for people to exchange thoughts and ideas? I still wish you well - and perhaps would suggest a bit of therapy to you can feel better.
@Bill463 First and foremost, I do not claim to be bi. I happily identify as queer (you can sort out the meaning of that yourself). And I'm not upset so much that you hold the opinion that bisexuality doesn't exist...it is after all your opinion and you are entitled to it, but as someone who claims to be gay and has lived through the hatred of an oppressive period of American society towards individuals who identify with that label, I simply do not understand why you choose to waste your time
@lazerybyl and mine spreading such vitriol on my channel. Seriously dude, who cares if someone identifies as bisexual. I find it particularly horrifying that a trained queer psychologist could propagate this theory. If you had even one bit of non-anecdotal evidence I might respect your thoughts a bit more, but as it stands, everything you've said has come from non-scientific observations of "married gay men." If your life is as full as you say it is I think
@lazerybyl 1) you wouldn't be posting on here at all (because it can't be both fulfilling and a waste of time to do so, so you have to pick one). 2) If this was actually that important to you you'd take the time to post a video including some substantial data and not just comments (I realize this is slightly hypocritical because this video is all anecdotal, but I do in fact have data to back it up which I'd be happy to provide). and 3) You would stop caring so much about how others identify.
@lazerybyl Now as for your comment about this being a forum to exchange thoughts and ideas - isn't that exactly what we're doing? And at what point did I ever say anything about a shovel? Did you even watch the video?
@lazerybyl Whoops I goofed again I think. The shovel comments were meant for someone that has posted on this video - a few comments down! And yes lazerybyl - you hitr the nail on the head!! Your comments are anecdotal - that's what got me started posting here in the first place! How you just come out and say that being 'bi' is a reality. Your tone got me writing!! OK - this is it - again, I wish the best to you! Bye!
Um - no, you are correct that I do not have time or inerest to upload things to you tube. I have a very full life and I just look around this sometimes for entertainment. I am sincerely sorry if I have upset you so much. I'm sorry that my opinions about being 'bi' have upset you terribly. I just came upon a few videos from a few young gay men in the last 2 days and felt like sharing my opinion. I wish the best for you young man.
I've enjoyed conversing with you on this topic and I think we have reached 'the end'. I'm not going to change your opinions on the subject and you cannot enlighten mine. As I began this discussion, I think that as a few more years goes by you will understand this more young man. I firmly believe that all of the young people that have posted items about this ( why no 'older' folks I wonder) that you will come to understand that there is no such thing as 'bisexuality'. I wish you the best!
@Bill463 I'm going to have to chalk it up to generational differences because believe it or not I have met bisexual adults. It's fine if you want to go on convincing yourself that there is no such thing as bisexuality and that it's psychologically impossible, but I'd really like to think that members of the LGBT community feel some sense of obligation to be more supportive of each other than you're being by trying to debunk something that so plainly does exist.
@lazerybyl Oh dear you prompt me again - but only on another topic. As a gay man I dislike being put into that general category which includes 'bi' and transgender. Since I do not believe in 'bisexuality' I am basically offended that this made up group has been 'put' into' my' community. Transgender is an entire other subject psychologically and medically - without a doubt deserves being it's own 'group'.
@Bill463 I agree with you on that, I think trans issues (since they revolve around gender) and LGB issues (since they revolve around sexuality) should be kept separate, but since people generally link gender and sexuality so closely it's understandable how they've been put together. Also, I think you're looking at LGB issues the wrong way. It's not so much a matter of each identity needing its own movement as all sexual minorities needing to fight the heteronormative mainstream together.
And I loved it when you said ' gay men of my generation!' Hey - I was just out the other night dancing the night away!! ( 20 years ago!) So - it has been cool talking about this. I'm glad I was able to let folks know here that many many people do not believe in this false label of 'bi'. To be confused in your early 20's - sure thing! To be 'bi'? Not possible psychologically! Cheers!
@Bill463 I'm still just really concerned that someone with psychological training honestly believes that it is impossible for someone to be bisexual. Plenty of gay men are or at least have been told that they are "confused" or "diseased" and I just fail to see how what you're saying is any different. And honestly, even if you don't think that someone can be bi, how does their identifying as such affect you?
@lazerybyl It does not affect me at all. I just hate to see married gay men over 60 running around and cheating on their wives. Get a divorce and be happy. It is tragic when this happens. I'm sorry that you are concerned. Just as it is your right to believe in the idea of people being 'bi' as you very firmly state here it is my right to respectfully deny it. Psychologically it is not possible. I'm repeating myself here but I understand how young people believe it. I cringe at the term.
@Bill463 oh - and people that say they are 'bi' are not diseased. Confused, yes, but I firmly believe as young people move into their late 20's they come to understand themselves more and readily identify with their true selves. This silly idea of sexuality being 'fluid' ( a few other young people here on you tube have used this term) is just plain incorrect. And as a gay man I'm not sure why this topic is so important to you, either - to post this on you tube.
@Bill463 I agree with you that people shouldn't be going around cheating on whoever their partners are but that doesn't mean that there is no such thing as bisexuality in adults. And it's precisely because of people like you who try to perpetuate such a rigid view of sexuality that it's important to get the message out there that this isn't the only view. Maybe people lose some sexual fluidity as they age but that doesn't mean younger people are confused or psychologically off.
'Social pressures' did not apply to me. It just took me a couple of extra years to discover the real me ( the fact that I had a few girlfriends in H.S and in college). I can pinpoint several thoughts and feelings from my early childhood that prove that I was born gay. Feelings that were there even before a child becomes sexual. So even though I have had sex with women as a horny young teenager I can tell you I'm not attracted to women I think we have exhausted this topic - at least for me!
My sincere apologies. I now see the post I left. I'm not sure why it took so long to show up on here. I'm sorry if it was my goof. Gender studies - does one continue on in psychology with that as a career after graduation? I have a BA in Psych myself. So, back to my initial thought about 'bi' (gay) men cheating on their wives all the time - do you have any thoughts on this?
@Bill463 No worries! I'm not planning on continuing on to psych, because I'm also a journalism major and I want to go into on-air reporting, but gender studies is definitely an academic interest. I think there are a number of possible explanations for why married bi men cheat - one (and probably the simplest) being that since they're attracted to both sexes they aren't being completely sexually fulfilled in a long-term monogamous relationship that doesn't offer any gender/sex variety.
@lazerybyl A monogamous relationship that does not offer any gender/sex variety?? My last girlfriend was when I was 22 - the sex felt great at that age but I was always looking at the hot guys. Then at 22 I had sex with a guy and I said 'OK - now I get it!' I've been in a monogamous relationship with Mr. Right now for the past 14 years. When you meet the one and you find true love there is nothing better. I just cannot 'see' this type of person that you 'speak' of - one
@Bill463 that cannot decide guy or girl - so - I'll enjoy both equally, or 80/20, or 30/70, it just does not make any sense to me at all. And I've met many many people that say that they are happy in 'open relationships', but honestly there is always something about the person - a certain 'disconnect' that I always see - be it in their tone of voice or the look in the eye. All of the guys that I've met through the years that claimed 'they were fine' in their ' open realtionships'
@Bill463 have broken up. They were never happy. I just cannot imagine a woman being happy in such a relationship. I'm sorry, it just does not make any social/psychological sense. Sure, college people today ( and probably when I was in college too with the steady girlfriend) experiment ( I had my first guy after I graduated) but I'm sorry - this being 'bi' is a total fantasy.
@Bill463 I can recall one such 'bi guy' I met once - he stated , and I kid you not, and it is so crass, but this is what he said ' it does not matter which hole you put it into'. I'm sorry, I fail to understand such a statement, and I felt so sad for this 'bi' guy at the time. He really could have used a bit of therapy I think. Being confused as a young person for a time - sure. Being 'bi' in your late 20's and beyond? Nope.
@Bill463 So just out of curiosity, if one of your patients came into your office and told you they were bi, you would try to convince them otherwise? Doesn't that sound a bit like homophobic therapy in the mid-20th century? And just because your experience was that you found the right guy doesn't diminish the fact that you were attracted to women. Plus, if I'm not mistaken you were talking about all bi men eventually going for other men. That seems like a pretty gross generalization. Is there
@lazerybyl data to back up that theory? And again, I want to bring up the social pressures argument. Are you willing to concede that at least part of the decision of older bisexual men to conform to either heterosexuality or homosexuality is the pressure, especially from gay men of your generation and "mainstream" straight society, to choose? If you're told every day that your true feelings don't exist and they're not perfectly defined to begin with, isn't it possible that you'd just choose a
@lazerybyl side to make things easier and not have to worry and fight about it all the time. Plus, if you truly are bi, you can find pleasure presumably with whoever you choose to be with. Bisexual men who wind up with women probably just tell people they're straight because it's easier than explaining bisexuality to their kids and heteronormative friends, and bisexual men who wind up with men are pressured to identify themselves as gay. Neither of those things change their internal attractions.
@equinoxPi Yeah...that's sort of the framework I was working with...but I figured if he was going to try to pass of being a psychologist I wanted him to at least have to try and prove it haha
Good to hear your opinion at your age. Now, 'take it from me'. As a gay man at 49 I firmly believe that there is no such thing psychologically as being 'bi'. I'm a NYC native and I've met and known a lot of folks. Almost all 'bi' people that I have met are gay men that are married to woman. I think as you get older you too will come to learn this. But I do understand how young people such as yourself draw this opinion in today's society. check back with me in 20 years or so! Best!
@Bill463 I suppose it's possible that people's sexuality morphs as they age and fall into comfortable patterns where they wind up preferring sexual partners of one sex over the other, but I respectfully disagree that this refutes the entire concept of bisexuality. Also, our society is constructed so that there's tremendous pressure for people to choose a consistent (i.e. straight or gay) label, which makes it really difficult for people, especially professionals, to maintain a bi identity.
@lazerybyl You suppose that people's sexuality 'morphs' as they age? So people are not born gay or straight? Oh young one, you bring a smile to my face! I've used this example to a few 'bi' men that I have met when I was single and dating. I asked them if they were standing on a corner and on one side of the street there was a beautiful woman and on the other there was a super hot looking guy - which side of the street would you tend to go to? The look on their faces was priceless.
@Bill463 I'm not saying that people aren't born one way or the other, but I am saying that there are definite societal pressures that influence people's choice of partner and label, even if those expressions aren't completely reflective of what's going on underneath. We've all heard that example of course, but I also think it's possible to be bi without having a perfect 50/50 split of attraction.
@lazerybyl This is your opinion regarding this topic. I love how you state 'this is a fact'. You Tube is a great place for people of all ages to express their opinions. Societal pressures influence people? For sure! The 'bi' man that stops off at an x-rated film/bookstore between his workplace and home to his wife where they frantically try to hook up with men for an hour to be ' the real me' is a fact. It is very sad that some gay men have this horrid problem.
@Bill463 I'm not really sure what you're saying here. I still don't agree with you that there are no bisexual adult males, and there's no reason that your opinion is any more factual than mine. Anecdotal evidence is great, but for your information I'm also a gender studies major so I'm studying these topics at school now as well as observing in life.
@lazerybyl Ah I see that my last post was deleted and you had no interest in following it up - very mature of you. Well, I guess that's your right to do so. This one shall be deleted shortly I guess. We that's You-tube! You seem like a nice kid - your typical teenager in 2012 now - the information age where everyone can put their opinions out in the world to all to see. I'll leave you with my initial thought - that you check back with me in 20 years regarding your opinion on this!
@Bill463 I get e-mails about all of your posts and as far as I can tell none of them have been deleted. Your sarcastic and condescending tone isn't really appreciated though, considering I think I've been very respectful of you despite disagreeing with your observations.
@purpleem14 aw thanks! i'm glad you liked it :) i definitely think admitting it to yourself is often the hardest part (i know it was for me in the beginning)
Im 15 and bisexual i like boys and girls.... I like girls because they are more graceful and caring then most guys but i also like guys i like them cause they already know how i feel they know wat can pleasure me if we ever get that far into a relationship
@Wizardpower202 i honestly have no good answer :( everyone's coming out experience is different and so it's really hard to prescribe one method that works. is there anyone in your family who's less religious who you think you can talk to about it first?
It's faster accepting for girls to be bisexual than boys to be, Theory? When God created Eve, she came from Adam's rib as an equal partner. Therefor, women have no sexual identity to call their own except female or "from male". woman, women: from man, from men. Still, no identity of their own. We HAVE our own sexual identity, though we carry both chromosomes x AND y or simply put, xy.
@lazerybyl It's difficult to explain. Most of the time, I'll use my mind's eye to guide me along with what I'm trying to express in words and it gets me in trouble quite frequently, so, if I begin sounding within reason and I start to veer off the road so to speak, just blame that imaginary dot in the middle of my forehead. lol Though, I do agree, now that you have pointed it out, sexuality and gender ARE different.
I'm bisexual, and I hate when people are discriminating against me for my sexuality. Actually, not only me, but any sexuality.
Sexuality is a rainbow: you really think that blue is going to pick on red?? Also, question: if you date a bisexual, are you one of those people who gets insecure about that person leaving you for the opposite gender?
Yeah I end up wanting to hit people with a shovel when they say bisexuals don't exist. I've known since I was 12, so that's about 16 years of digging guys and girls. 70/30 Guys/Girls. The real laugh is when gays say it doesn't exist and then those same gays get pissy when some straights say that gays don't really exist.
@TriumphT140 Hit people with a shovel - woah! 70/30? You sure? Perhaps 71/29? Psychologically there is no such thing as being "bi". I have no scientific study for this - just my experience of 49 years. Every single 'bi' guy that I have met through the years is a gay man married to a woman which is terribly sad. I've never met a real 'bi' person. Confusion in your early 20's - sure. After that and using the silly term of 'bi' - ah, no. Hope I don't meet you and your shovel - yikes!
@Bill463 Yes I am sure. Your 49 years of experience of not being bi don't trump my 28 years of being bi. Also no worries about my shovel mate, not worth the effort. In fact I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. Good day to you.
@TriumphT140 oooh - 28. By now you should have given up the goils and realized you are a gay man. Yikes! Just please don't turn out to be an old man that fools around on his wife and brings her many bugs home! I think at 28 you should know what you like by now. I know - you gotta be strong. Perhaps you fear what your parents/family will think. Time is wasting man - you have to have strength and not hide behind the fake made up term of 'bi'.
@Bill463 I do know what I like. I'm not a scumbag prick who marries a woman out of fear of society. Like I said before, I dig women for their body only, so why would I marry one? My parents are cool with it, so is my brother, as well as my married aunts on my dad's side, and my married aunts on my mother's side. You have this small world view, narrow minded prejudice. I pity you.
@Bill463 Also having just gone to your youtube channel I find you are a 49 year old man who has never uploaded anything and seems to go around the youtube channels of young gays and start shit with them. How truly pathetic you are, what a sad bastard you must be. I'm done with you, you fucking troll.
I agree with you 100% b/c when straight people watch strait porn they r watching a Guy and a girl get there freak on. So its both genders having sex, but being looked at by one gender that is probably the same sex as one of the people in the "porno".
Here's an analogy for those who don't understand: People like vanilla ice cream. People like chocolate ice cream. Don't tell me you've never seen someone who likes both? Same thing for sexuality.

@lazerybyl So you reject the Bible?
LxE100 1 month ago
@LxE100 I'm Jewish, so to start with I never even bought the whole Bible anyway (only the first half-ish). But I, like everyone else in the world, think that religious texts are living breathing documents and that God has the Him-given ability to evolve his views over time.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl Oh. Jews won't be saved from the fires of hell. God doesn't change his views. These are fixed and universal laws that never change. You either believe in the Bible, or you don't. You can't just believe half-ish, because by rejecting anything in the Bible, you reject the author of the Bible. You reject God.
Leviticus. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
These verses can't be ignored.
LxE100 1 month ago
@LxE100 Fortunately for me, we Jews don't believe in Hell, so that's never really been high on my list of places to avoid - especially since the modern conception of Hell isn't even in the Bible but was written out by Dante in the 1300s. And I'm sure you've heard this question many times, but no one has ever given me a straight answer - ok, so Leviticus might say that, but what about the verses where the Bible prohibits eating shellfish, or encourages killing disrespectful children?
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl Leviticus is pertaining to antiquated dietary codes and passages that are no longer relevant to the teachings of the New Testament. These were secular laws that were in place in a time long ago. Many people deliberately distort Scripture to fit their own confused theology. This is not only a complete manifest of ignorance, but a blatant misrepresentation of Christianity. Hell is Biblical. To say it isn't, is a blatant lie. Let me give your more information.
LxE100 1 month ago
@lazerybyl John 3:36 - "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
Matthew 23:33 - "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?"
Othere verses in Scripture which are too long, show clear evidence of Hell's existence.
God wishes for all men to be saved. This most likely means all men will not be saved, but many will be in Hell.

@LxE100 I don't understand how you can say that anything in the Bible is antiquated while simultaneously saying that it's the ultimate truth. Doesn't your rejecting parts of Leviticus carry the same weight as my doing the same?
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl Just because certain verses in the Bible are antiquated, doesn't mean the Bible isn't the ultimate truth divinely inspired by God. I'm not rejecting Leviticus, because these laws aren't meant to be followed by us anymore. When Christ came, God established a new covenant of faith and love with mankind. However, the moral and ethical teachings of Jesus and His apostles call for even greater self-discipline than those of the Old Testament. You reject moral and ethical teachings.
LxE100 1 month ago
@LxE100 And who are you to say which verses are antiquated and which ones aren't? What I'm getting at is it's a fairly mortal decision to say "oh, I'll follow these but not those," and I just don't understand how your choice of which verses to keep following is more valid than mine.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl I didn't say which verses to follow. As I said before, God established a new covenant of faith and love to mankind. This means, most of the old secular laws, are no longer to be followed. This is why traditional Christians, follow only a small amount of these laws. The same thing has been being done since Jesus made Peter the first Catholic pope. I think Jesus teaches us these things at "The Sermon on the Mount." The Catholic Church is God's one and only true church.
LxE100 1 month ago
@LxE100 But how can you distinguish between which things are old secular law and which things are God-given mandates if the whole Bible was supposedly delivered by God? And if the Old Testament is so unimportant to contemporary Catholicism why bother even printing it in the Bible?
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl The teachings of Jesus, the Council of Jerusalem, and other New Testament teachings (John 1:16-17, Acts 13:39, Romans 2:25-29, 8:1-4, 1 Corinthians 9:19-21, Galatians 2:15-16, Ephesians 2:15) make it clear that Christians are not required to follow the Old Testament rules about crimes and punishments, warfare, slavery, diet, circumcision, sacrifice, feast days, Sabbath observance, ritual cleanness, etc.
Next comment -->
LxE100 1 month ago
@lazerybyl Christians still look to the Old Testament scripture for moral and spiritual guidance (2 Timothy 3:16-17). But when there seems to be a conflict between Old Testament laws and New Testament principles, we must follow the New Testament because it represents the most recent and most perfect revelation from God (Hebrews 8:13, 2 Corinthians 3:1-18, Galatians 2:15-20).
LxE100 1 month ago
LxE100 1 month ago
@lazerybyl In conclusion, the Old Testament is a foundation to our moral and ethical beliefs. This is why it's so important. There are also things in the Old Testament, which aren't in the New Testament, that we must know.
LxE100 1 month ago
@LxE100 But how do you delineate what is a "moral judgement" and what is a "crime" according to the Bible if all of these citations result in some form of worldly punishment according to the scriptures?
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl Listen. Anything in the O.T that conflicts with the teachings of the N.T are no longer to be followed. That's how you can distinguish the 2.
I'm not extremely knowledgable in the Catholic Faith either. I know enough to realize that it is the one and only true faith, but not enough to explain thoroughly on such topics.
To get a more accurate answer, email mhfm1@aol.com. Ask them the same question.
LxE100 1 month ago
@LxE100 Well...no. You might want to do some more research and get back to me then. Until you can really support your arguments personally, I'll just consider them invalid.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl I have supported my arguments personally. Don't avoid the truth, just because you personally don't feel like I can support arguments, even though I clearly can. Don't be dishonest about it. Send an email to mhfm1@aol.com to get more information on the subject. If you want to stay ignorant becuase of your personal feelings, that's a huge problem. But, no one can stop you. I suggest you find the truth.
LxE100 1 month ago
@LxE100 Why would I contact that person? You and I are having a discussion and you're unable to support your own arguments and theories. In the real world, that signals the end (and victory) of a debate.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl The only reason I recommend contacting them is for a more specific answer. Again, I'm perfectly able to support my arguments, as we have both seen. You're blatantly lying to defend your diabolical stance. If I'm showing you where you could get an even better answer, that requires barely any strength to accomplish, and you won't even hesitate to email them, this signals that you don't want the truth. You want to remain in sin, and thus burn in Hell.
LxE100 1 month ago
@LxE100 "I'm not extremely knowledgable in the Catholic Faith either." Clearly you can't support your arguments if you're not that knowledgable. You weren't able to answer my questions and aren't willing to look into it yourself to do so.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl No, you're completely misunderstanding me. Just because I'm not extremely knowledgable in the Catholic Faith, like a pope or a saint, doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. I know much more than the average person who claims to be Catholic.
I've already supported my arguments, and refuted your diabolical stance. What questions do you have left? I answered all of them.
Again, I showed you where to get an even better answer, but you refuse to do it.
LxE100 1 month ago
@LxE100 You still haven't answered this question: "But how do you delineate what is a "moral judgement" and what is a "crime" according to the Bible if all of these citations result in some form of worldly punishment according to the scriptures?" Surely both the OT and the NT have some secular laws written in. How do you know what is still applicable and what is not? Because certainly the NT isn't followed to the letter anymore either.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@LxE100 actually thoses verses can be ignored....we are not ment to follow the levitical laws anyomore and God is not limited to a book he can change his mind example (hebrews 8:7-13) also look at the many times God decided to do something in the old testament and peopl like moses or other prophets were able to pray and plead with God to CHANGE His mind
DNel123 1 month ago
@DNel123 No, not all the versus in Leviticus can be ignored. That's a complete lie. Anything in the O.T that conflicts with the teachings of the N.T are no longer to be followed. Jesus teaches us that secualr laws were no longer to be followed, but morals and ethical teachings were in (John 1:16-17, Acts 13:39, Romans 2:25-29, 8:1-4, 1 Corinthians 9:19-21, Galatians 2:15-16, Ephesians 2:15).

Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 First and foremost, I do not claim to be bi. I happily identify as queer (you can sort out the meaning of that yourself). And I'm not upset so much that you hold the opinion that bisexuality doesn't exist...it is after all your opinion and you are entitled to it, but as someone who claims to be gay and has lived through the hatred of an oppressive period of American society towards individuals who identify with that label, I simply do not understand why you choose to waste your time
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl and mine spreading such vitriol on my channel. Seriously dude, who cares if someone identifies as bisexual. I find it particularly horrifying that a trained queer psychologist could propagate this theory. If you had even one bit of non-anecdotal evidence I might respect your thoughts a bit more, but as it stands, everything you've said has come from non-scientific observations of "married gay men." If your life is as full as you say it is I think
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl 1) you wouldn't be posting on here at all (because it can't be both fulfilling and a waste of time to do so, so you have to pick one). 2) If this was actually that important to you you'd take the time to post a video including some substantial data and not just comments (I realize this is slightly hypocritical because this video is all anecdotal, but I do in fact have data to back it up which I'd be happy to provide). and 3) You would stop caring so much about how others identify.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl Now as for your comment about this being a forum to exchange thoughts and ideas - isn't that exactly what we're doing? And at what point did I ever say anything about a shovel? Did you even watch the video?
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl Whoops I goofed again I think. The shovel comments were meant for someone that has posted on this video - a few comments down! And yes lazerybyl - you hitr the nail on the head!! Your comments are anecdotal - that's what got me started posting here in the first place! How you just come out and say that being 'bi' is a reality. Your tone got me writing!! OK - this is it - again, I wish the best to you! Bye!
Bill463 1 month ago
Um - no, you are correct that I do not have time or inerest to upload things to you tube. I have a very full life and I just look around this sometimes for entertainment. I am sincerely sorry if I have upset you so much. I'm sorry that my opinions about being 'bi' have upset you terribly. I just came upon a few videos from a few young gay men in the last 2 days and felt like sharing my opinion. I wish the best for you young man.
Bill463 1 month ago
I've enjoyed conversing with you on this topic and I think we have reached 'the end'. I'm not going to change your opinions on the subject and you cannot enlighten mine. As I began this discussion, I think that as a few more years goes by you will understand this more young man. I firmly believe that all of the young people that have posted items about this ( why no 'older' folks I wonder) that you will come to understand that there is no such thing as 'bisexuality'. I wish you the best!
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 I'm going to have to chalk it up to generational differences because believe it or not I have met bisexual adults. It's fine if you want to go on convincing yourself that there is no such thing as bisexuality and that it's psychologically impossible, but I'd really like to think that members of the LGBT community feel some sense of obligation to be more supportive of each other than you're being by trying to debunk something that so plainly does exist.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl Oh dear you prompt me again - but only on another topic. As a gay man I dislike being put into that general category which includes 'bi' and transgender. Since I do not believe in 'bisexuality' I am basically offended that this made up group has been 'put' into' my' community. Transgender is an entire other subject psychologically and medically - without a doubt deserves being it's own 'group'.
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 I agree with you on that, I think trans issues (since they revolve around gender) and LGB issues (since they revolve around sexuality) should be kept separate, but since people generally link gender and sexuality so closely it's understandable how they've been put together. Also, I think you're looking at LGB issues the wrong way. It's not so much a matter of each identity needing its own movement as all sexual minorities needing to fight the heteronormative mainstream together.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
And I loved it when you said ' gay men of my generation!' Hey - I was just out the other night dancing the night away!! ( 20 years ago!) So - it has been cool talking about this. I'm glad I was able to let folks know here that many many people do not believe in this false label of 'bi'. To be confused in your early 20's - sure thing! To be 'bi'? Not possible psychologically! Cheers!
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 I'm still just really concerned that someone with psychological training honestly believes that it is impossible for someone to be bisexual. Plenty of gay men are or at least have been told that they are "confused" or "diseased" and I just fail to see how what you're saying is any different. And honestly, even if you don't think that someone can be bi, how does their identifying as such affect you?
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl It does not affect me at all. I just hate to see married gay men over 60 running around and cheating on their wives. Get a divorce and be happy. It is tragic when this happens. I'm sorry that you are concerned. Just as it is your right to believe in the idea of people being 'bi' as you very firmly state here it is my right to respectfully deny it. Psychologically it is not possible. I'm repeating myself here but I understand how young people believe it. I cringe at the term.
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 oh - and people that say they are 'bi' are not diseased. Confused, yes, but I firmly believe as young people move into their late 20's they come to understand themselves more and readily identify with their true selves. This silly idea of sexuality being 'fluid' ( a few other young people here on you tube have used this term) is just plain incorrect. And as a gay man I'm not sure why this topic is so important to you, either - to post this on you tube.
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 I agree with you that people shouldn't be going around cheating on whoever their partners are but that doesn't mean that there is no such thing as bisexuality in adults. And it's precisely because of people like you who try to perpetuate such a rigid view of sexuality that it's important to get the message out there that this isn't the only view. Maybe people lose some sexual fluidity as they age but that doesn't mean younger people are confused or psychologically off.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
'Social pressures' did not apply to me. It just took me a couple of extra years to discover the real me ( the fact that I had a few girlfriends in H.S and in college). I can pinpoint several thoughts and feelings from my early childhood that prove that I was born gay. Feelings that were there even before a child becomes sexual. So even though I have had sex with women as a horny young teenager I can tell you I'm not attracted to women I think we have exhausted this topic - at least for me!
Bill463 1 month ago
My sincere apologies. I now see the post I left. I'm not sure why it took so long to show up on here. I'm sorry if it was my goof. Gender studies - does one continue on in psychology with that as a career after graduation? I have a BA in Psych myself. So, back to my initial thought about 'bi' (gay) men cheating on their wives all the time - do you have any thoughts on this?
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 No worries! I'm not planning on continuing on to psych, because I'm also a journalism major and I want to go into on-air reporting, but gender studies is definitely an academic interest. I think there are a number of possible explanations for why married bi men cheat - one (and probably the simplest) being that since they're attracted to both sexes they aren't being completely sexually fulfilled in a long-term monogamous relationship that doesn't offer any gender/sex variety.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl A monogamous relationship that does not offer any gender/sex variety?? My last girlfriend was when I was 22 - the sex felt great at that age but I was always looking at the hot guys. Then at 22 I had sex with a guy and I said 'OK - now I get it!' I've been in a monogamous relationship with Mr. Right now for the past 14 years. When you meet the one and you find true love there is nothing better. I just cannot 'see' this type of person that you 'speak' of - one
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 that cannot decide guy or girl - so - I'll enjoy both equally, or 80/20, or 30/70, it just does not make any sense to me at all. And I've met many many people that say that they are happy in 'open relationships', but honestly there is always something about the person - a certain 'disconnect' that I always see - be it in their tone of voice or the look in the eye. All of the guys that I've met through the years that claimed 'they were fine' in their ' open realtionships'
Bill463 1 month ago

Nope.
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 So just out of curiosity, if one of your patients came into your office and told you they were bi, you would try to convince them otherwise? Doesn't that sound a bit like homophobic therapy in the mid-20th century? And just because your experience was that you found the right guy doesn't diminish the fact that you were attracted to women. Plus, if I'm not mistaken you were talking about all bi men eventually going for other men. That seems like a pretty gross generalization. Is there
lazerybyl 1 month ago 5
@lazerybyl data to back up that theory? And again, I want to bring up the social pressures argument. Are you willing to concede that at least part of the decision of older bisexual men to conform to either heterosexuality or homosexuality is the pressure, especially from gay men of your generation and "mainstream" straight society, to choose? If you're told every day that your true feelings don't exist and they're not perfectly defined to begin with, isn't it possible that you'd just choose a
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl side to make things easier and not have to worry and fight about it all the time. Plus, if you truly are bi, you can find pleasure presumably with whoever you choose to be with. Bisexual men who wind up with women probably just tell people they're straight because it's easier than explaining bisexuality to their kids and heteronormative friends, and bisexual men who wind up with men are pressured to identify themselves as gay. Neither of those things change their internal attractions.

He (Bill463) is absolutely NOT a psychologist NOR any other formally schooled or trained social science professional !
It is sadly apparent that his ability to rationally & empirically reason is quite limited not to mention grossly fundamentally flawed.
equinoxPi 1 month ago

Best!
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 I suppose it's possible that people's sexuality morphs as they age and fall into comfortable patterns where they wind up preferring sexual partners of one sex over the other, but I respectfully disagree that this refutes the entire concept of bisexuality. Also, our society is constructed so that there's tremendous pressure for people to choose a consistent (i.e. straight or gay) label, which makes it really difficult for people, especially professionals, to maintain a bi identity.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl You suppose that people's sexuality 'morphs' as they age? So people are not born gay or straight? Oh young one, you bring a smile to my face! I've used this example to a few 'bi' men that I have met when I was single and dating. I asked them if they were standing on a corner and on one side of the street there was a beautiful woman and on the other there was a super hot looking guy - which side of the street would you tend to go to? The look on their faces was priceless.
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 I'm not saying that people aren't born one way or the other, but I am saying that there are definite societal pressures that influence people's choice of partner and label, even if those expressions aren't completely reflective of what's going on underneath. We've all heard that example of course, but I also think it's possible to be bi without having a perfect 50/50 split of attraction.
lazerybyl 1 month ago
@lazerybyl This is your opinion regarding this topic. I love how you state 'this is a fact'. You Tube is a great place for people of all ages to express their opinions. Societal pressures influence people? For sure! The 'bi' man that stops off at an x-rated film/bookstore between his workplace and home to his wife where they frantically try to hook up with men for an hour to be ' the real me' is a fact. It is very sad that some gay men have this horrid problem.
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 Whoops! Somehow we have switched names here! LOL!!
Bill463 1 month ago

@Bill463 I wish you the best young man!

@Bill463 I get e-mails about all of your posts and as far as I can tell none of them have been deleted. Your sarcastic and condescending tone isn't really appreciated though, considering I think I've been very respectful of you despite disagreeing with your observations.

I'm 13 bisexual guy I just wanna ask how do you come out to a really religious family?
Wizardpower202 2 months ago
@Wizardpower202 i honestly have no good answer :( everyone's coming out experience is different and so it's really hard to prescribe one method that works. is there anyone in your family who's less religious who you think you can talk to about it first?
lazerybyl 2 months ago
It's faster accepting for girls to be bisexual than boys to be, Theory? When God created Eve, she came from Adam's rib as an equal partner. Therefor, women have no sexual identity to call their own except female or "from male". woman, women: from man, from men. Still, no identity of their own. We HAVE our own sexual identity, though we carry both chromosomes x AND y or simply put, xy.
stone412 2 months ago
@stone412 sexual identity and gender are two totally different things though, i don't really understand where your'e going with this comment.
lazerybyl 2 months ago
@lazerybyl It's difficult to explain. Most of the time, I'll use my mind's eye to guide me along with what I'm trying to express in words and it gets me in trouble quite frequently, so, if I begin sounding within reason and I start to veer off the road so to speak, just blame that imaginary dot in the middle of my forehead. lol Though, I do agree, now that you have pointed it out, sexuality and gender ARE different.
stone412 2 months ago
@stone412 haha no worries

I'm bisexual, and I hate when people are discriminating against me for my sexuality. Actually, not only me, but any sexuality.
Sexuality is a rainbow: you really think that blue is going to pick on red?? Also, question: if you date a bisexual, are you one of those people who gets insecure about that person leaving you for the opposite gender?
steelstringgirl 2 months ago
@steelstringgirl i've never heard that analogy with the rainbow (blue picking on red) before, i like it!

TriumphT140 2 months ago 11
@TriumphT140 i hear ya :)
lazerybyl 2 months ago
@TriumphT140 Hit people with a shovel - woah! 70/30? You sure? Perhaps 71/29? Psychologically there is no such thing as being "bi". I have no scientific study for this - just my experience of 49 years. Every single 'bi' guy that I have met through the years is a gay man married to a woman which is terribly sad. I've never met a real 'bi' person. Confusion in your early 20's - sure. After that and using the silly term of 'bi' - ah, no. Hope I don't meet you and your shovel - yikes!
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 Yes I am sure. Your 49 years of experience of not being bi don't trump my 28 years of being bi. Also no worries about my shovel mate, not worth the effort. In fact I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. Good day to you.
TriumphT140 1 month ago
@TriumphT140 oooh - 28. By now you should have given up the goils and realized you are a gay man. Yikes! Just please don't turn out to be an old man that fools around on his wife and brings her many bugs home! I think at 28 you should know what you like by now. I know - you gotta be strong. Perhaps you fear what your parents/family will think. Time is wasting man - you have to have strength and not hide behind the fake made up term of 'bi'.
Bill463 1 month ago
@Bill463 I do know what I like. I'm not a scumbag prick who marries a woman out of fear of society. Like I said before, I dig women for their body only, so why would I marry one? My parents are cool with it, so is my brother, as well as my married aunts on my dad's side, and my married aunts on my mother's side. You have this small world view, narrow minded prejudice. I pity you.
TriumphT140 1 month ago
@Bill463 Also having just gone to your youtube channel I find you are a 49 year old man who has never uploaded anything and seems to go around the youtube channels of young gays and start shit with them. How truly pathetic you are, what a sad bastard you must be. I'm done with you, you fucking troll.
