@Lerry80 to get the settings lower apply " -dxlevel 70 +mat_forcehardwaresync 0 " in properties then make everything lowest in the ingame settings

rememebr, FRAPS slows things down quite a bit. A time-demo might have been better.

@Treblaine FRAPS makes absolutely no difference when just counting frames, its only when recording does it seriously effect frame rates, that is why i used a camera to record the game rather then FRAPS

yeah, i managed to get through the entire game, but some levels (water hazard and highway 17) were extremely painful... apparently overclocking does make a large difference.

not sure its worth a go though make sure you set it to -dxlevel 70 +mat_forcehardwaresync 0 in launch options as this should improve your frame rate

CS:S runs with about 20fps with -dxlevel 8 on my ASUS EEEPC 1005HA :)
