@skkitlesboy123 depending on your teeth with depend when you get your bands. I got one band on the left side the day I got my braces and then at the next check up I didn't need them, time after that I had to wear them on both side and now I'm wearing two on my right side and one on my left. It's just how fast your teeth move and where they move to. Good luck :)

wow i got my braces seprate. i got my top braces first, and then my bottom. and my top teeth are NO where near what your teeth look like! i'm jealous :p i've had the top ones for what 8 - 10 months and they still look the same the day i got the braces put on. your teeth look awsome!

well i'm not going to lie to you and be all tough and say it didnt hurt, it did, hah. :P

it'll stop hurting after 3-5 days, you'll get used to it. i just got a headache and it feels like someone yanked your teeth out. eat REALLY soft things like noodles, jell-o (jelly, dont know if your american or british xP), mashed potatoes, soup etc. it also hurts to bite down your jaw. that hurts me the most

it hurts like fuuck for the first 3-5 days to chew with ur front teeth. stick to things you dont really have to 'chew' like soup, mashed potatoes, beans, noodles, jelly, custard, the basic things =D

during the process, it didn't hurt at all, after it hurt like ****.

Yeah.. Just got my braces on today. The pain is already becoming intense. I already hate brushing after every cleaning(though I will stick to it, cause its better in the long run..) Like another commented says, the SOFTEST things are hard to eat! Plus, super soft things, like ice cream, applesauce, jello, are high in sugar.. So don't go too heavy on it. :# Tip: SUCK on ice. only allow the ice to be in the tongue area. ... Already waiting for the day they come off!! 14months. :D

did you have an underbite? my teeth before i got braces were not that crroked they i just had kind of an underbite. not even really an underbite because my bottom teeth didnt go infront of my top teeth they were just not under and at the same level. Then i got braces and my bottom teeth kind of shifted to the front more and got more spaced out and made it look like an actual underbite. On thursday they gave me ppower chains on my bottom teeth and rubber bands. I really hope it turns out well!

@CeraFate haha yes you can, you just have to be very, very meticulous and it consumes a lot of time. If orthodontics would affect the overall heath of your teeth by preventing the cleansing of your pearly whites, then braces would probably(most definitely) have been discontinued.

@lilkisses4 You can ball up the wax and stick it on the bracket or wire where the pain in. Or, you can use a rolled up paper towel piece (I know, nasty but it helps) Just make sure you change it everytime you brush your teeth!

don't be scared its the simplest procedure ever! haha nope they don't numb you , there is no pain putting then on at all! they will feel really tight for a couple of days but it will fade (-: just eat soft foods until the pain goes away!

I just got braces 1 week ago they do not hurt when they are being put on all they really do is glue them to your teeth when they put the brackets on they get tight and your mouth feels very tight for a couple days! I had a cheese burger right after I got my braces on, but later that night my teeth killed they feel very sensitive you can't touch then together for almost a week! I've had braces 1 year 6 months -_- luckily, the next time I go they are shaping my other canine to look like a lateral, then pulling my teeth together and finishing straightening them! They should be straight by Christmas! :D PS: I am missing my laterals, so they are just pulling my teeth together and shaping my canines to look like laterals. People don't notice the difference though :D My other canine was impacted by the baby laterals that never fell out, so they pulled it down over last year.
