  • Love the HQ blurr on the screen

  • FANTASTIC AND WODERFUL

  • elvis was a fat overrated lounge singer who never wrote any songs and died on the toilet whilst shitting out one of them triple decker peanut butter cheese burgers dipped in bacon grease. he doesnt deserve all this adulation he getsfrom all you idiots.

  • @tvlicenceevader666 And yet he's accomplished more than you EVER could or will, and he didn't have the technological advancement we have today.

And he's made a name for himself, while your misserable self will be forgotten in history.

  • @tvlicenceevader666 You obviously have no clue what you are talking about! Elvis sold over 1 billion records! He had 131 different albums and singles that have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum! He was one of the the first cross over artist. Just because he may not sing your kind of music, doesn't by any means take away from his talent nor his amazing impact on music and especially rock and roll!

  • @kysweet56 @tvlicenceevader666 You are a low class person to speak of this music genius in such a derogatory way. Respect the dead at least you moron!( I couldn't get all my comment into one.)

  • That's The Arena where Owen Hart Died.

  • looks like a fat james belushi

  • Love you forever

  • ELVIS se canto la vida,,,hasta su final, se entrego totalmente a su publico , mas alla de su condicion fisica amo cantar hasta su fin, VIVA EL REY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fantastic, really he was the best!!!!!!!!!

  • I have to say as a professional entertainer who covers a lot of Elvis' songs this version of 'My Way' is very moving. It's a very complex song to sing with your voice and indeed health at full strength let alone in Elvis' condition at this stage

  • :-)

  • @tottletrottle Sure that's a great idea coating your vocal cords with sugar syrup. And as for the gibberish, I also saw another concert, for all to see, where during his speaking part he spoke gobbledegunk and then finally laughed and said "aw to hell with it! then laughed. He's the King. C'mon man, gibberish for effect? LMAO! Maybe for some fat big titted whore with a blond wig. You silly guy you. tottletrottle. What the hell is that?! @ELVISDINNERSHOW2013 You'd make a great lawyer.

  • Sempre quis ver esse show. Apesar de sua condições, sua voz estava mais poderosa! Valeu por postar!

I always wanted to see this concert. Despite all his conditions, his voice was more powerful! Thanks for sharing!

  • I was just looking at the Coffin Picture, and decided to study the face and watch this video, unless the Undertaker gave him a nose job it just don't match up, I know they say he was face down for awhile before they found him, but I highly doubt that would change the bone structure of his nose that much..

  • Elvis' poor physical state cannot be overlooked but he was still an incredible performer. Apparently a lot of the bloating was due to severe colon problems which Elvis battled with for years.

  • King Elvis. The Best Ever..

  • By the way, I LOVE his smile

  • I recently heard that Elvis was planning to give some concerts in Europa, London in 1978.

  • @gusyyy23 The Colonel would have never allowed that to happen, as he never let Elvis perform overseas.

  • @rondunderfunk

I know. But Elvis´ crew and he PLANNED to do.

  • @rondunderfunk Peter Grant could've seriously had The King headline Led Zeppelin at the royal albert ..

just imagine what would've happened if Elvis had gone to England. ... school is now in session.

  • In life or in death, Elvis is forever the King. A voice so beauti it sends tingles down the spine. Forever taking care of Elvis. Elvis, we love you tender. Who among us never make mistakes. Takes a long at your hands

  • I do believe the poor man is drinking vodka possibly mixed with water, probably straight. The clenching of the teeth after each drink, and a spike of euphoria. I know because I've been there. He is probably doing uppers to keep from getting falling down drunk. He sings gibberish and forgets the lyrics. The guy is bombed. I hope this is a lesson to young kids that alcohol and drugs is so addictive, you have to take more and more to remain stoned, and therefore, "really hot" baby. Learn from this.

  • @crambone20002000 oh come on elvis didnt drink and especially not on stage. He was clearly unwell but he wasnt drunk or stoned!

  • @crambone20002000

elvis was drinking pepsi from that coke cup. further, elvis had sensitive teeth so the clenching of the teeth after each drink is expected. yes, elvis was very drug dependant. that said, genius has its pitfalls. yet, the sheer talent of elvis will not manifest itself again for he possessed a vocal range that few have or ever will have. as for elvis singing gibberish is also a misunderstanding on your behalf for that gibberish is for effect. rock and roll has no rules.

  • i hate what they this with this....

  • Big thank you for this upload.

  • Inigualavel,unico omaximo do maximo.

  • It matters not that Elvis was dying from drug dependency rather its his unequaled vocal performances here that will echo through the ages that will make all future generations marvel that such a mortal once lived.

  • beautifulllllll ♥

  • he was a gentleman

  • THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!

  • I cant fathom clicking and "disliking" this video., ..this video is historic and rare to say the least. not just backstage footage, but you even experience the trepidation of stage jitters just before the King goes on

  • 0:23:00 whats is title this song ?? Please help :)

  • @lipek111 00:23:00 = " Are you lonesome tonight"

  • @lipek111 Are you lonesome tonight

  • Presley's Unchained Melody really does "cut to the soul of man," and stands as one of his finest performances. However, I would easily recommend the unadorned Great Performances version over the overdubbed one featured here.

  • It's a shame Early Morning Rain was cut here. A moving version.

  • His dressing room was very simple. No furniture, food or anything. Hm, times has changed...

  • the voice never failed him. amazing till the end...amen.

  • what about the little indian girl? is she still alive, grandmother today?

  • almost too sad to watch!

  • este video es lo mejor que que he visto de elvis............ gracias al que lo subió

  • He is fat here :D

  • @gugielek yes but also very very ill. . . .and as you realise, still doing his best for the fans, not even 2 months later he was death

  • Happy New Year('s) (Eve)ryone... :>

  • this is from the dvd set- THE FINAL CURTIN, this is the best quality in years of this semi complete show.

  • the best version ever and for ever of "my way" Elvis is still the King

  • The talent, fame, money, diet, the quiff from the 50's,the jumpsuits, the jewllery, the women, sold out concerts, the drugs, the movies, having your street named after you,the voice...hound dog, blue suede shoes jailhouse rock are and always will be classics....This man can't be anything but a legend..he lived a life ( i doubt he planned it ) that only adds to his enigma...

  • 24:29 i can't believe how shy he gets.......he still cared a bit

  • it was sad to see him let himself go at the end of his life :(

  • So sad to see him like this I was brought up listening to his music and he inspired me to sing

  • Clearly Elvis' physical condition has changed from the Comeback Special or Aloha from Hawaii but his voice and its power are undiminished . "You Gave Me a Mountain" is particularly impassioned and powerful here. Elvis stated "All my dreams have come true a thousand times" and I think it is patronising towards Elvis to view his life as a tragedy. He lived before the present trend for celebrities publicly recanting and going to rehab. He kept his own counsel and did what he thought was right.

  • his singing is brilliant - his humour and hunanity are all there. shame he wasnt getting the right support. shame on greedy parker.

  • wow!

  • Who is the critic to say that these performances were shitty...Elvis was definitely in trouble... shame on his inner circle for not sending him to some exotic island away from any pharmacies so he could dry out. Elvis definitely was parodying himself by this point...but having fun as well.

  • I loved this video...

  • 1977 is my fav Elvis year, his voice was majestic.

  • @jerry328i I think he was singing much better in the late 60`s and early 70`s!

  • @jerry328i

listen to the Elvis Pot Luck FTD version CD....that was when his voice was at its very best, strongest, smoothest, perfect vibrato.

  • @mholdr

I love that record (1962). Many will tell you "The memphis record" (1969) is even better in terms of his voice. It's a matter of personal opinion, we're just lucky the King gave us 3 periods and an endless treasure to choose from.

  • For the last few years , then i am listen to your music, you help me to past true all my family you pass away ,my mom ,father. Thanks you so much ELVIS

  • Wonderful upload LOVE YOU FOREVER ELVIS FROM ALL MY SOUL

  • this is not Elvis! Not the Elvis Who alaways Dancing, Smilling, When he was Sexy! and also Happy and Young! i hate it to see him like this...

    R.I.P Elvis

  • Sem palavras, muito bom ver isso

Without words, it's great to see

  • in 1:02 is he Elvis dad?

  • @MyDreamside at 4.10 you see his father whit is girl friend Ginger seeting

  • (((((((((beautiful)))))

  • VERY GOOD JOB MAN THANXXXXXX

  • The grey haired guy with the red Elvis jacket is Ed Parker! No relation to the Colonel!

  • When he sung my way that was soo sad :(

  • you either have it or you don't..the King had it !!!

  • EU SOU FÃ ETERNAMENTE , E ACHO QUE ELVIS SEMPRE SERA MARAVILHOSO ALÉM DA MORTE .ELE DEU TUDO DE SI.... PENA QUE NINGUÉM O AJUDOU QUANDO MAIS PRESCISAVA.. DE CARINHO , ATENÇÃO E VERDADEIRO AMOR. ELVIS ESTAVA DOENTE DE AMOR. SORRISOS E SORRISOS PARA O PUBLICO ATÉ SEU ULTIMO DIA . PORÉM SOLITÁRIO E TRISTE. PORQUE PRISCILLA NÃO ENXERGOU ISSO ??PORQUE O SEU PAI VERNON NÃO VIU ISSO ?? ELVIS DEU TUDO DE SI.. MAS ERA CARENTE DE TUDO. I LOVE FOREVER ELVIS PRESLEY. UMA FÃ NO BRASIL !!

  • the weight gain was a result of heart problems people with heart problems build up fluid and the heart is too weak to pump it off a gym membership would not helped that much. i wish CBS had just used the Rapid City concert it was really good

  • the weight gain was a result of heart problems people with heart problems build up fluid and the heart is too weak to pump it off a gym membership would not helped that much.

  • @hirdy6 Sorry about that, just thought of grey haired man patting Elvis haha, instantly thought of Vernon, he was wearing a red jacket too, so not too sure who the other guy is? But yes, you're definetly right, there's a lot of mystery and complications there, he also had an irregular heart beat, which I think is also a big factor when it came to his death.

  • is the drummer that guy from abba?

  • @renelovesnicole I very much doubt it, cos around that time abba were busy recording and making money money money !! This is number one drummer Ronnie Tutt, Elvis' drummer from 1969 to 1977.

  • This is part of the Boxcar Elvis 77 The Final Curtain set. Other uploads of it have been removed, so enjoy this one while you can.

EPE sued Boxcar as they own the footage shot by CBS for the TV special. Boxcar lost...

  • Amazing live footage. I have heard but not seen this footage before. Elvis forever lives on in our hearts. Love the highlights where he is having so much fun doing what he loved doing the most: performing in front of a live audience! Thankyou, thankyou very much for this wonderful upload!

  • Who is that creepy looking guy with grey hair who can't keep his hands off Elvis while he is standing backstage waiting to go on? Or the tosser strutting around sucking on a pipe?

  • @hirdy6 That was his father.

  • @haydengrayfilms No mate, this bloke was much younger than Vernon who is seen sitting next to Ginger in the dressing room. I'm referring to the guy in the red jacket with a visible security tag hooked to his collar, at about the 5:30 mark, at Elvis right shoulder, I didn't see Vernon touch Elvis at all backstage.

  • @hirdy6 The guy you are referring to here is Ed Parker. He is generally known as the father of American Karate and was Elvis' close friend, karate guru, and tour bodyguard. He was in a few movies, mainly as a karate bad guy and was also a friend of Bruce Lee. He is credited with being the most important person to promote karate in the States. Highly rated there. You can browse him and learn more about him.

As to the tosser sucking a pipe, I think he was part of the CBS film crew.

  • @tommyboo21 Thank you for the information, the name Ed Parker did ring a bell and I have googled him as you suggested. Would be interested to read the book he wrote regarding his time as Elvis' body guard in the final years. Makes sense too, if you look he is kind of patting and encouraging Elvis like a fighter. Personally I don't like people touching me like that, but each to his own. The tosser sucking a pipe will remain a mystery man but I'll bet he shows the footage to his grandkids. Cheers.

  • @hirdy6 You're welcome. Interestingly, it was Ed Parker who introduced Elvis to hawaiin born karate champion Mike Stone. Elvis was so impressed with Mike Stone's karate skills he even pursuaded his wife Priscilla to start private lessons with Stone. As we all know the tuition took on a new meaning and she eventually left Elvis for Stone.

Btw, do people still smoke pipes? Not seen any since my teenage years! And even that was probably mine when I was trying it out. Yuk!

  • @tommyboo21 Yes old Mike Stone, wonder what he's doing these days, I was never as dark on him as many, hadn't been him it would have been someone else. That's a very good question regarding pipes. It's been decades since I've seen someone on the business end of a pipe. I know people use crack pipes, thankfully not in the circles I move in. Say crack pipe and the first thing I thin of is water leaks but then I am an old fossil of 48. I smoked cigs but can't remember ever smoking a pipe.

  • 36:14 I just want to point out Elvis drinking with his pinky extended.

  • i was on holiday and was only 6 when this guy died, but remember my late mum being very sad as she read the headlines, while i was oppersite looking at a picture of elvis with his army suit on the back page,,,,,,,god bless the talalented young man,he did so much in 42 years then left us so suddenly xx

  • This is undoubtedly the best elvis video posted on youtube ever. What courage he had shown in the face of death. The ending to can't help falling in love was epic!!!

  • pity that you never got up live and see you live: (. I love you Elvis and always will make the

  • synd att man aldrig fick upp leva och se dig live :(. jag älska dig elvis och kommer alltid att göra de

  • @Chrisyxoxo I'm afraid the chills will continue and he will Affect you for a long time. I became a fan before my teenage years just one year before Elvis died, and to this day hardly a day goes by without me listening to him. That's the Effect Elvis has on people. Truly one of a kind.

  • Elvis may be gone but he will never be forgotten as long as the fans keep his music alive

  • WOW that was great.. Elvis fan for life!!

  • He really got bored and depressed here. It' sad to see him like this. P.S.'' I'm the one of those who believe that his death was fake in order to get out of all that circus he got fed up ...and btw he worths more dead than alive''.

  • If he truly done as many drugs as i have read about in his last year how could he even remember the names of all the band members and play the piano. So very talented and although overweight still poured his heart out.

  • Really not a bad performance so much more energetic than the Omaha portion.

  • Its a thin line between love and job , and he managed to do both in same time !! King Elvis lives in our hearts...

  • Elvis never lost his magic and he never will. Elvis the king forever.

  • DAMN the solos were cut out!!! was that the way it was or you cut it out?

  • @OfficialRobbieMason That's the way it was filmed. I have this footage, and the full intros are just not there. It's part of the Boxcar Elvis 77 The Final Curtain set.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!! That was one AWESOME show! Just super great!

  • ray i hate to differ his performances in 77 were his greatest of all

  • Elvis was always at his best on stage. Even when his performances were not up to par, he was still fantastic.

  • Gosh this is depressing stuff.

  • Also, where did you get this footage? I love this so much! :)

  • In the concert, Elvis said he recorded Unchained Melody. I don't think I've ever heard an actual studio recording of it from him. I've only heard live versions. Does this studio version exist?

  • @Musicfan1020

I think he meant that it was recorded live and included in the album "Moody Blue". It is a shame he never did and actual studio version of this song, My Way or America the Beautiful"...would have been nice!

  • The sweetest and most touching part of this concert was when Elvis introduced his father. thank you for posting and sharing this incredible piece of Elvis' legacy. He will always be remembered as the King.

  • Elvis at his best :

    1. 1970 - around the Vegas time

    2. 1973 - Aloha

    3. 50s

    4. 68 comeback

    5. 70s concert tours

    6. 77

  • @gusyyy23 But you left out 1960 (Elvis is Back) and 1972 (Madison Square Garden). My Elvis at his best is simpler: from 1954 to 1962 & from 1968 to 1977.

  • Check out the pictures from the february 20th concert on elvisconcerts(dot)com. He looked pretty good and quite a few pounds thinner. As the year progressed he got bloated.

  • Well done excellent as i have been chasing this concert for many years this is an excellent concert my all time fav..thanks for the best share on Tube !!

  • I love Elvis and he was amazing until the end,his voice never fail .I am so happy ,i could see him on video, because i never have a chance to see him in person.LOVE YOU FOREVER ELVIS

  • No I don't gotta admit his performances where bad. I saw him in May of '77 and it was a great performance, and if you look at Elvis here you will see yes he is over weight but NOT obese like people like say. He still looks good and sounds great! His face is a little bloated probably from the pills and his body is starting to shut down.

  • Such a shame, all Elvis needed was rehab, and a gym membership and he would of had another 20 comebacks. But I love that man so much, no matter what he looks like, he is my King Arthur.

  • I'm an Elvis fan, but you gotta admit, his performances were pretty bad around 1977.

  • @Ray3645 songs like My Way, How Great Thou Art, Hurt are pretty beautiful "around 1977". Elvis was amazing until the end.

  • @georgebellagio I totally agree with you. Elvis will always be the King, no matter what.

  • @georgebellagio the amazing thing with elvis is that his perfomances are diferrent in each period!I've listen to the moody blues album before,it was wonderful! My favorite perfomance by elvis is the 1968 live apearance it was stunning.A big thank you for the video!

  • @Ray3645 yes, nothing compared to the 1970 las vegas performances. but he was physically ill, but still and always fantastic.

  • @Ray3645 How Great Thou Art and Unchained Melody were good.

  • Thank you for uploading Elvis last professionally Videotaped Concert from Rapid City in its entirety. Big thumbs up *********

  • la voix intacte excellent malgré les soucis de santé. Merci un grand moment pour tous ceux qui n'avaient pu voir ces concerts.
