@koffinkat666 some is bought at vendors, but most of it is player crafted. Unless something major has changed since I last played, none of it is bought with real cash.

I agree wholeheartedly. It's a challenge to overcome, instilling pride in the crafter. Too many people give up on it too soon!

I don't even remember finding it a challenge, more of an involving process rather than just A+B=X.

I'm debating retrying this game since bugs seem to been gone from the game mostly and my favorite part in MMOs are the extra curricular activities and Vanguard has god stuff with crafting and diplomacy.

I'm just wondering if SOE is going to mess things up again like they did on SWG.....

Never tried SWG myself. I do wish they would fix Pantheon though...it's been broken for ages.

Hello, Kristen! I'm planning on purchasing this game today and was wondering what your server is like. I heard you say it's the result of PvE/RP servers merging. Does this mean there are roleplaying communities on Seradon?

There are roleplaying communities; in fact there are some that advertise as strictly roleplaying guilds. When you join the game, you can look at the recruiting guilds list for roleplaying; that may help in your search. Also, the diplomacy channel has several roleplayers (you may want to type /join dip while ingame and speak with them for guild suggestions).

Haha well I'm still learning things every day. I'm on Seradon, it's supposed to have the highest population. The roleplaying server merged with two pve servers awhile back, and Seradon's what it became. Don't forget to type /join craft to get helpful tips on crafting if you decide to do it.

You can pick anything you want, it really wouldn't matter. The only thing is this: If you craft a leather piece of armor for example, and wear it, it becomes soulbound. So if you wanted to upgrade it at a later time, the only way you could do that is if you were a leatherworker.

At level 21 you learn the recipe for sloops, but 24, maybe 25 is the recommended level.

Im going to get this game and I have a few questions:

What is the maximum player slot per server?

Got any Paladin tips?

What proffesion makes ships?

What crafter best suits a paladin? Please reply.

8 char slots total per account. I've never played a pally, although they make excellent tanks. You'll see in this video at :45 that carpenters make ships. Any class can be any crafter, it doesn't really matter. Unless you want to wear armor or weapons and upgrade them at a later time, since the items are soulbound you may want to consider being a heavy armor crafter.
