  • This is well done, worthy of Bach.

  • Phantastisch. Ein Denkmal für W/W Carlos und Robert Moog.

    Wolfgang aus Frankfurt/Main

  • The tempo is absolutely all right!

  • @artois54: Yeah, slower isn’t better in this case, that would make the piece sound too schmaltzy and pathetic. That wouldn’t fit Bach very well.

  • reinventó la música clásica con esa prototecnología a bach le hubiese gustado , solo por como se lo curró

  • Awesome! I want to do the vocal line on theremin! Oh, how I LOVE BACH!

  • This is wicked cool!

  • Bravo, you have resurrected the well-tempered clavier. Please record more preludes and fugues on this instrument.

  • Hi,

In regard to the tempo could you speed it up if it is a digital recording without affecting pitch?

    H

PS Anything upcoming to look forward to???

  • Hi again...

just had a thought... I hope I'm not talking through my hat, but as this is digital recording can't you simply speed it up a bit so it is at 96 bpm?

    Cheers,

    H

    PS Love it anyway !!

PPS Do you have anything new coming out soon that we can look forward to????

  • @harplore ..thanks for your comments..I guess tempo is a personal choice (take a look at any conductor) ...I have another piece to go up (eventually!)

  • @cloudhop - But when you alter the tempo of a recording it changes the pitch accordingly so to tune a recording to the right pitch to match other channels the recording(often a sample) can be sped up or slowed down, When this is done on a keyboard connected to a sampler the sample can be tuned with the wheel then the sample can be played at any key on the keyboard. I think this is what he means.

  • Excellent rendition, very much in the style of Wendy Carlos!

  • Been listening to your stuff every day...you tube is SO vast but still can't believe I have taken until now to think of looking at all the synth Bach stuff. I was knocked out by both Switched On albums ( I had the LPs in the 70s) and have been a devotee of the 'sound' ever since.

I would give anything to hear what JS would be able to do with all the technology today...Keep up the good work and don't forget to let me know when you put all this on a CD..

    Cheers,

    H

  • Sorry, didn't mean to post that twice.

  • Waaaay too slow! This movement runs around♩=96. Otherwise, good mix. I like the filter.

  • Nice one!

  • Moog filter is very musical. With Bach it reaches one of the highest expressions.Bach with music creates a spiritual talks. This' a good example.Congratulations.

  • Estupenda versión

  • Thanks for posting this - great synthesizer, so good to bring out the sublime clarity of Bach

  • Thank you so much..this is the best comment I have received

  • I have to agree. Beautifully executed. The Great Master would love this, I'm sure.

I think that we would all agree that if a Moog was available at the time, Bach would have embraced it.
