My 2002 Cadillac V8 Northstar gets 14 city 28 hwy real World. Very heavy car but still rides like new, great performer -- yet these new 4cyl compact models don't offer a convincing advantage. At today's gas prices, a paid off car is more cost effective by a long ways. Why take on a $450 month car payment to save $50 in fuel?
I just bought a Regal Turbo, and I must say, I would have never considered it till I drove it at a GM test drive event, in which they also provided an Acura TSX, a Lexus ES 350, and a Nissan Altima. Until you drive a new Buick YOU have no idea. Incredible power for a 2.0 liter engine, incredible handling, and impressive gas mileage. Took a long drive today averaged 30 mpg on the freeway at 80. So for all of you that think just because its a Buick, better think again.
Walther i would have to say, you're logic is quite strange. Comparing a Buick to Chevrolets is not only nonsensical, it's confusing. Of course a chevrolet would cost 5k less... I have also driven this car and its drives great! The interior materials are top notch aswell.
@samer820 No AWD for the Regal, at least not yet. All-wheel drive is offered on the Regal's European cousin, the Opel Insignia. So it's possible that Buick may add it to the Regal in the future.
The thing that I don't understand is why does that guy call the other model the GS. GS isn't coming till 2012 model. There will be 3 regals, base with the 2.4L, then a Turbo 2.0L with 220 then the GS with that same 2.0T but bumped up to 255hp. The cars been out for quite a few months and you can get all the info off buicks site. Do your homework then i would give this a full 10 on greatness of review. But I gotta give it an 8 for those mis steps on info for the car.
great video, unimpressive car. Other cars from GM of the same size (Cobalt SS, HHR SS ) with same engines get 40 hp more and cost 5K less. GM is definitely "too big to fail". I can almost see Obama doing GM commercials begging somebody to buy Buick. Too late. Not gonna buy 10 year old European design with underpowered overpriced platform. And yes, I am of the age group they are looking for.
@wwaalltthheerr Total Garbage. I test drove one of these Regals and was very impressed. Have you driven this vehicle? How can you make such a idiotic statement. This car drives better than any front wheel drive car I've ever driven and I've driven most of them. Plus the car has a great interior and just as plush as my 328i. The car is NOT a 10 year old European design. It was European car of the year in 2009. This Regal is a lot of car for the money. People don't listen to Walter.
@wwaalltthheerr youre an idiot, no one has to beg anyone to buy a Buick, their sales prove it; its not a 10 yr old design, or where u talking about ur IQ...oh let me guess you drive one of those Japanese or Korean transportation Appliances....ugh....i dont think u are a person who in the age group, you have to have a drivers license loser..oh and by the way, the Cobalt was a piece of crap, thats why it was replaced, and the HHR is being replaced...hope u enjoy driving ur Yugo..loser
