ahh yer cuz im doing a video and i want to get a still image so i can put 3d text onto it. when i click on the floppy disk icon is there anything i need to do after that?

Once you click on that it'll ask where you want to save it. Once you save it you can drop it to the timeline and the settings you chose for the still length duration will be in effect.

that setting is for still images, if u want to grab a frame from your video you need to click the "floppy disc" icon above the preview screen

before.. once you set you length and save it. It'll stay that way for each project till you change it again.
