the camera doesnt run out bcuz he has portable solar panels. and he dropps the tapes off at a "dead post box" a few miles away were later a helicopter or palne comes and collects them, he was given a limited supply of tapes at the start to do him for the 10 weeks.

every week a plane will fly and pick up the tapes, supply him with new tapes and batteries and pretty much everything he needs. :)
