The US isn't getting universal healthcare now. The bill that passed was pretty much only an insurance reform bill which has been marketed as something greater.

The health insurance folks will soon be part of the past. They serve NO purpose at all; being only middle-men who take a cut out of the premiums and pass it on.

You're country is only now installing universal health care, something my country introduced in the 80's along with mostly all of the other 1st world countries.
