  • anyone wonder if he heard the 2 look at the tree guys?

  • just because you see strong wind doesn't necessarily mean its a tornado, microbursts are straight winds, tornados are cyclonic winds

  • That's no tornado.

    This is downburst.

  • WTF

  • WOW thats a very heavy downburst :O

  • at least everything got a good cleaning.

  • @636Castle There wasnt a tornado. Or a funnel. It was just a gust front, a common thing in the midwest. But it happens in new york and the pussies shit and piss their pants and cry 'tornado!'

  • @leopardseals

  • lol i love the music in the background.. as if thats guna help! :L

  • I like how there's still people driving.

  • This was like a snow day for all the window washers in NYC.

  • I was outside and my mom was running! I got freaking soaked so I had to change up! I never knew this happened... I thought NY was the safest place...

  • no gang bangin in Brooklyn today

  • @fattybastard2000 But there was gang baging back in 94'! lmao

  • the tree was abused.

  • yeah its still unconfirmed if there was a tornado but its most likey all just straight winds/ and microbursts but it could have been a weak, rainwrapped tornado i googled it lmao but microbursts can cause alot of damage cuz its a sudden, confined invisible, wind gust, burst in one concentrated section

  • in all these vids i just see the gust front and some mico burst or rfd's are there any that show the tornado

  • THIS WAS A GREAT MOMENT, VIEW, SOUND, AND EMOTION...TURN THIS UP W/ STEREO.....AND WOW

  • You can see the tree that they were looking at too. Fucking awesome. Its near the back and disappears a few times, but its there :D

  • @Jerichox22 ya i saw dat to lol that was freakin awsome

  • at 0:14 to bad the lightnin missed the tree

  • DUDE OMG, LOOKS AT THAT TREE!

  • @gregoryy2010 actually this storm did produce a tornado.... as confirmed by the National Weather Service..... duhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @Crazy8DylanR there was one in Orange County, California earlier this year.

  • god is vomiting on your window.

  • Well I am cutting the tree down on thursday so there won't be any "look at the tree!" comments on the next vid. Too bad.

  • i don't see shit

  • 0:30 Well it's a bit late now to LOOK AT THE TREE! The best part of the storm has been. -:/

  • At least they weren't stupid enough to open the windows and go outside. "LOOK AT THAT TREE!"

  • DUDE LOOK AT THAT TREE.............OH MY GOD!

  • Thats no microburst.. that was a sideswipe from a tornado... look at the motion of the rain !

  • Looks more like a micro-burst, close to a tornado but no cigar.

  • im so happy that the tre made it unlike that last video i saw.

  • i tink they were guy gaytogether lol

  • "A Tornado Grows in Brooklyn"

  • Does everyone in Brooklyn say HOLY SHIT haha

  • lol look at the tree!!!

  • 29 people got blown away by watching this video

  • Everyone is just jealous that this video went mini viral bro

  • You are all doomed over there. Glad I live on this side of the "pond" Another yank with a two word vocabulary. Holy shit. Holy shit.

  • You are all doomed over there. Glad I live on this side of the "pond"

  • Skaterchick is correct. The other guys in Brooklyn were a little too jumpy. They should get sponsored to be storm chasers. They can freak out on camera if they see a big tornado.

  • man thats nothing....try goin through a hurricane where its 10xs worse and it lasts for days.

  • @glrjerry

Well, in NYC, this type of weather is rare, so when it does happen, of course we're gonna make a big deal about it. Our storms aren't as strong as the ones down south and in the mid-west.

  • @glrjerry rofl hurricanes dont last for days

  • @MrOriginalGaming yeah they do shit for brains

  • I love how this dude is so calm and the other guys are like "LOOK AT THAT TREE!!"

  • @skatershick101 LMAO IKR

  • dude a fucking tornado for sure, for sure

  • @kgreendayfan97 np dude

i went to church school too

    even took the communion

but after studying and being able to think just a bit, i realized how much bullshit there's around.

can't believe there's people who criticize governments, claim that everything is controlled by corporations, etc etc etc... but they say the bible is sacred!

    it's the ultimate weapon.

  • OOOOH MY GAWD!!! LOOK AT THE TREE!!!

  • Soo, why are their still people driving in this?

  • classic micro-burst good job on getting it on camera. its as rare as a tornado. one similar to this caused the dallas cowboys practice facility to collapse.

  • Thumbs up if you got here by wacthing the video with the guys saying "LOOK AT THAT TREE!"

  • @xXPuR3ePicXx Why?

  • @xXPuR3ePicXx I actually live in new york thats how i got here to see some footage of how bad it was in brooklyn i live in queens and still it got really bad

  • @XMETALGEARS59X

Lol, I just left like being one of those dumb people who say stupid things like this. Haah...

  • @xXPuR3ePicXx lolol

  • at 2:00 the bad part has passed

  • So I live in South Dakota and it seems like common sense NOT to be standing near a window during a sever storm such as this... Why would this seem like a good idea?

  • i was in a storm like this last year and they are fucking crazy as hell

  • que mal para los americanos

  • looks like a macroburst

  • So everyone knows, there was a severe line of thunderstorms moving through the NJ/NYC area at the time. There was indeed rotation imminent within this line, however that does not alone make for any conclusive ground-confirming evidence of a tor. The wind damage caused in this storm and several videos was from macroburst winds.

  • I like how people who sit around scratching their asses know more about meteorology than the National Weather Service and the meteorologists on the news who are looking at the doppler radar. But, if it so so important to you, OK, it wasn't a tornado, it was just 120 mph winds going around in a big circle with a green sky overhead. Feel better now?

  • @misspeaches251 I was in a storm in Syracuse that ripped entire walls and roofs off like a hurricane. NWS confirmed straight-line, apparently because all the fallen trees lay in the same direction. This storm was similar to that atrocity. NWS confirmed 125mph straight-line winds in Queens, but the tornadoes themselves covered small areas. They were only 75 yards wide, how could all of these videos from all over the city be a tornado? Unless people think it was one super, gigantic tornado.

  • And when this was going on there where thousands of homeless enduring with no shelter.

  • Really good vid but I don't think that was a tornado. Tornado winds are in the hundreds of miles per hour. I think this was a real good old fashioned thunder storm. Btw if it were a tornado the pressure difference outside the window as compared to the inside would have destroyed the window and sucked u right out. The next time leave the camera recording and move to an interior room without windows and stand under a door jam

  • @jwmcvey

it was confirmed it was a tornado

  • @kidsik3 Yeah! i remember from a documentary I watched on Tornadoes here on youtube (tornadoes the entity is what it was called) The narrator had mentioned "heavy objects can become essentially weightless in a tornado, it is a surreal sight when roofs begin to lift off homes and cars become airborne" Its really terrifying stuff. You should check out the documentary, just type in Tornadoes!! The Entity: Prelude, watch all the parts if you want :)

  • HOWEVER, now living in NEPA, folks here call wall clouds w straight-line wind tornados. This DID appear 2B a twister at some point, had it actually been on the ground though-believe me-you'd know it, and it would have been MUCH worse. Thank God it didn't-if it did, or got close, 4 a short period-you kids are VERY lucky!!

  • Hey guys, while I'm just a lil ole lady here, after living in Northern & Mid Al, Tennessee, & N Fl, (on Ga border), I've seen a few green sky's in my time-didn't exactly see that here. Also, when our home was blown apart by a '98 twister, the green sky, hail, silence-except 4 loud train sound preceded it-like the others.

  • Well I might have been saying "dude look at the tree" during the video, but that is because I live next door and it's my poor tree. Makes this a little hard to watch, the branches were everywhere but it's still standing, tho.

  • well atleast one tree survived...

  • Lol look down during the video and people in cars still stop and wait for the stoplight!

  • at 0:30 he moans and sound pretty gross xO

  • Get away from the window ! Cool post.

  • was i supposed to see something other than 3 minutes of torrential downpour on a window and crazy people still driving outside in it?

  • @WheresTheAnyKey1 haha thanks

  • Love love love storms!!! Snow storms are crazy too! Come in Quebec in Feburary! You'll have some fun!

  • I like how the power was still on...

  • @yankeesallday777, Yoooo, dezz is hows wez talks heerrs in Brooklyn, uuus gotta problam wif dat?

  • My brother just announced that this is going to happen again on September 22, 2010 this evening.

  • @LifeInATent

That's what these youtube idiots don't know. N.Y. is under tornado watch right now, or at least that's what the news is saying. These dummies hear tornado & expect Brooklyn to look like a scene from The Wizard Of Oz or something, it's amazing how ignorant people can be.

  • Tornado Brooklyn

  • I didn't know a tornado could exist in cities?

  • @VonTavast seriously? a tornado can exist anywhere it pleases.

  • @uniqueTT19 Well they mostly appear at open warm places

  • Comment removed

  • Standing next to a window in a 5 story high building is the safest place to be during a tornado.

  • And when this was going on there were 2 guys saying, "Dude look at the tree!"

  • @coedeed

    Don't forget "Bro"

  • Wow, this was insane!! Lol, it got pretty bad there, but I'm guessing this was far from a tornado. It usually stops raining before a tornado comes thru. But in other vids u can clearly see the funel cloud so...... Ehh!!!

  • No tornado on this vidéo, that's just a big storm...

  • @legrassoistris06 A big storm that left 50,000 people without power for 3 days...

  • @legrassoistris06 um watch the other vid from someone filming couple miles off another building... u see the shape and all

  • @legrassoistris06 u must not have been in NY, or outside for that matter! thats how it looks from inside, take it from someone who got caught in tht shit...no joke!!!it was a tornado!

  • What's the big deal? I don't see any kind of funnel shape tornado. I see the beginnings of one. Where is the hail?? In Texas there are always close calls like this along with actual tornados.

  • @followXtheXdot They're used to tall buildings, not tall collusive of wind. :)

You should see people out here in Los Angeles, they don't even know how to drive in a sprinkle let alone a snow storm or heavy downpour, tornado, etc....

  • @Sephroe I live in AZ and its the same deal here...Rain=panic!!!!

  • no crap i live in the manawatu in New zealand and i swear to got it was like this on and off for two days, we are having some really crazy weather!

  • man this wasnt no tornado this was jus a heavy thunderstorm im all looking for a tornado an there aint none of that in this vid

  • @panamadaddy

Looks like it but the tornado is all around them, it's a massive thing.

  • "Wait what you say, there is going to be a tornado, Then my good sir this seems like the perfect time to go out for a quick car ride"

  • It looks so much different then the tornadoes you see on TV

  • I always thought tornados were A LOT worse, but it's just like a short storm... (I live in the Netherlands we don't have tornados here :p)

  • @BrunettexMusic im in florida US they are terrible...

  • this is tragic so I dont know why you guys are making fun of this. I mean one person died, and a freaking funnel cloud hit the ground in NEW YORK CITY. So stop making fun of this!

    :(

  • @Emochick56651- Had you actually done your research, you would have known that this thing started as a standard line of thunderstorms across the river from New York City. Just before hitting the city it exploded into the violent system we were hit with. No one had more than ten minutes to prepare and many who were commuting home from work didn't hear the warning at all.

Before you make assinine comments about people you don't know, be familiar with the circumstances.

  • i love how everyone in NYC is still driving around cuz New Yorkers are really stupid

  • @emochick56651 yeah new yorkers are stupid xD... im from florida and i think you're stupid just for your user name xD

  • @LeeandSteven1235 im from New York and just cuz im emo doesnt mean im stupid

  • @LeeandSteven1235 New York hater. thats what you are.

  • @yankeesAllDay777 that message goes 2 LEEANDSTEVEN1235's dum ass.

  • @yankeesAllDay777 oh im sorry did i offend your small arrogant mind? yeah the yankee's team is my favorite baseball team... but hey changes in latitude give you changes in attitude and northerners are dicks... such as yourself =D

  • @LeeandSteven1235 im juz defending my city datz all man or woman wutever u are. im not trynna sound like no dick because im not or make every new yorker look like one but i cant let you talk bout us like that either. all im saying is i would like 2 see more respect for us. We would all apreciate that.

  • THe PIne TRee is EPic

  • it makes me miss the winter

  • come live in texas and you will see this all the time. That kind of weather is almost boring to me now, lol. But I am sure it was really something for people in New York.

  • OMG

  • that ain't that bad at all. Wind, and lots of rain, thats about it. I've been in a tornado, that ain't nothing. Try driving a semi through one.

  • looks like a clasic thunderstorm to me thats about it...i didnt see a tornado...you thought you did but you didnt...when you do see 1 come go outside and film it ...it would be much clearer..

  • I am from Missouri, this shit is nothing to me......

  • i feel bad for the tree...

  • Obviously New Yorkers don't know much about tornadoes. I live on Long Island and i shriek whenever there is a slight thunderstorm. XD Don't think you're all so cool that you've been near a tornado or have seen one before, that's not really something to be proud of..

  • You might be a redneck if you think one tornado is worse than another!

  • This is why i love living in Norway where we dont live on two plates, or we have the weater conditioning for eaither earthquakes or tornadoes. Go Scandinavia.

  • awww hell...this ain't nothin more than a typical severe monsoon storm we experience here in Tucson AZ during monsoon season....

  • lol i livein queens, huge trees were uprooted all over my neighborhood and lots of power lines are down

  • HURRICANE

  • PEOPLE, THIS IS NEW YORK CITY WE'RE TALKING ABOUT. we dont get alot of extreme weather up here. it may not be a tornado to you, but it is to us.

  • @gagazellaba maybe more like a hurricane???

  • Dude this is nothing compared2Florida heavy storms....

  • @TipRockaFeller your point is?

  • look at the laundry in the wind

  • Whoa! I was in an airplane over this...trying to land in EWR...I am glad we diverted!!!
