@wescoolya Not currently. I haven't been filming any new ones for a variety of reasons, the major one being that I haven't got a computer that will accept the capture card I have. I will eventually though.
7:10 - the flashing indicator on the left means that something is too close to the camera, or you are zoomed in too far, and it can't focus. In this case it's because the lens cover is closed.
The only problem with pointing the camera at the TV is the fact that you will get quite a bit of feedback from the speakers. You can turn the volume down, but you don't want it to bet too quiet. Like the others have said, a video capture card would be a good investment, they shouldn't cost too much. They may also have USB interfaces as well that are better suited to notebooks (I'm assuming your notebook isn't easy to modify.)
Sean, I agree with vwestlife, if you can manage to get a capture card you'll be amazed with the transfer quality... GREAT camera you have picked up there, lookin' forward to some postings in the new 'Wonder Vision!' :)
That's a nice camcorder! That should improve the quality of your videos!
My grandmother still uses all the old VHS cassettes too. She has these adaptor cassettes and all those accessories. Her camcorder is a really big old one made by Panasonic in the early 90s. She still uses it a lot and I used it a few times too.
Nice little camcorder, Sean... I've heard of RCA's current digital series of Small Wonder cameras, but I didn't realize they were using that name on analog camcorders back in the day. A video capture device would really bring out the best of its quality, though.
Whenever I turn mine on, NOTHING appears through the lens (even when the lens is uncovered). Is something the matter with mine?

They made by Sony

Could you clarify... Are you asking wether they were made by Sony or are you stating a fact? Sony doesn't make RCA products as far as I know.

Wait how much was it and where did you get it?
Gmancrap 2 years ago
I paid 20 dollars Canadian, and I bought it along with the accessories at a thrift store.

Cool camcorder, Sean. What kind of movies do you think you'll be making with it?
