hahahaha you did a great job and then at the end... one flub! I hate that. Sucks. I find TJ's technique can get a bit boring and too repetitive after a while. It's just uuuuuup doooooown. But it's also the monotony of the groove underneath that gets old. Three or 4 chords over and over. But, I think you did a good job.
Ive been working on the 8 finger tapping technique lately and getting good at it..This looks like a cool song to learn. Is there tabs for it anywhere?
that was really nice, I'd like to learn to tap like that except I'm working on so many other things, want to know it all. didn't need to damn everything though, try blessing things! Sorry, I'm just an old hippy
i've gotta be honest, i never really practice that technique. i just take a new piece, spend some time with it and get it down. you can play anything you put your mind to i believe.
GOD DAMNIT! You were playing pretty damn flawlessly until the end, I hate when I butcher the final notes of a ridiculously tough solo. You did a great job, though. Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks, man. I'm going to redo this solo, though. It has a lot of mistakes. As far as whole songs I usually do them on the drums when JJ is playing with me on guitar. The Steve Morse tune was a complete song, although it was on multiple instruments. You won't tear me from my drum kit, though, it's my true love.
man do you have any notation or tabs for this thing, or did you do it by ear? I think Helmerich and Garsed are amazing guitarists, I'd buy Brett's dvd if it was $50
lol..

Honestly;
You're technical facilities on the guitar always surprise me. You always are able to do a new and more difficult technique every time.
If only you STOP playing the drums, and focus on guitars, I'm sure that you're videos will get MUCH more attention.
And, you should try one of these days to cover an ENTIRE song instead of just a solo or just a bit. It would definitely get you much more attention.
Attention that you would DESERVE.
