I fly one of these, and never use the flaps. very little help...learn to slip. A really great aircraft though. Been to Oshkosh with it me, the wife and our 3 yr old daughter.jump seat 80 # baggage..overweight by about 50 #..no problem. great fun 4.5 gph cruise. from calif.
Nice landing! As previous comments state, that is one narrow strip! I fly a 172 and want to get into flying taildraggers, especially a 140. How touchy are the breaks or does the tail lift easily if you get on the breaks?
C-140s are pretty tame, no bad habits. You would have to get on the binders really hard to get the tail to come up. Keep the tail behind you and all is well.

The flaps help a little. I find they are mostly just air brakes. Not much lift . Ive flown 120 and 140 models. To compare.
