  • james and michael apparently go way back. both splendid actors. but i have heard of this but never seen it. it was a show? cause i checked ebay and it says theres a 6 disc set for sale> how many seasons did it go on? anyone? i love michael fassbender so thats why i want to buy it.

  • @TheNayNay826 Band of Brothers? It's a one season mini-series, 10 episodes long. I bought it ages ago and it was well worth the money. Buy it! It's a must have.

  • God - Fassbender's neck .....

  • and tom hardy

  • didn't know that so many actors were there in Band of Brothers...wow

and when i saw Michael Fassbender in it, i was like :O really?????

  • YAY ARKANSAS! :D

  • I understand when fans want to watch everything with Fassbender, but when it gets to the point that some of them watch BoB JUST for Fassbender, that's when it gets out of line. People should watch this show to see the whole group of Easy Company, all the men, not just this handsome man who played in X-Men. Know what I mean? Some are so blinded that they can't even respect the boys who lose their lives, they just respect the appearance of one actor.

  • It's not a movie ffs!

  • My ears are like radars when it comes to Fassy's sexy voice. As are my eyes for his jaw of justice face. I had no trouble mistaking Fassy from the rest. <3

  • @mrAZcardinal That comment was so bitchin. Jaw of a justice face? brilliant

  • What is the point of this useless video. Nothing happens in it. Why do so many losers upload worthless crap like this???

  • Before I watch the movie I need to know; is this as much Michael Fassy as we get? Or is there more?

  • @sillysillyface It's not a movie; it's a ten part mini-series. And, nah, this isn't all there is of him, he's in seven episodes albeit quite hard to pick out. I've only seen him in two episodes so far, not including this one. Just remember that he plays a very minor character. :P

  • no no no no. no like bale!!

  • Am I the only one thinking that young Fassbender kinda looks like Christian Bale? reply please

  • @beadyslay Yes, I kinda see it in frame 0:01.

  • LOl magneto :)

  • oh my god..Thank you. i really like Michael Fassbender!

  • Son of a bitch! What male actor between the ages of 30 and 40 wasn't in Band of Brothers?!!! I swear I keep finding new people every time I watch it. Simon Pegg, Jimmy Fallon, and now Michael Fassbender.

  • @sonaliegh plus james McAvoy!!magneto and charles were here!!=D

  • @hyperclaurus44 And Michael Cudlitz and Office Space's Ron Livingston (Coincidentally, both actors were on a cancelled cop show sitcom called STANDOFF).

  • @sonaliegh Especially British actors...daniel lewis, tom hardy, james mcavoy and michael fassbender. Others pop in and out as well like jamie bamber. Great miniseries and awesome actors.

  • @elisechristen Michael Fassbender is not British. He's German, Irish.

  • @asiansual So he is, my mistake. I also meant Damien Lewis..not daniel lewis.

  • @sonaliegh James Mcavoy too!

  • @sonaliegh orlando bloom

  • @MrCanadaben Orlando Bloom wasn't in Band of Brothers, he was in Black Hawk Down.

  • @ElodieK I know he wasn't in band of brothers, that what i wrote......... -.-

  • @ElodieK good that u know what you reply on -.-

  • @sonaliegh its coll they all started to get job offers after this. tbh i've only really noticed british actors as you said simon pegg and michael fassbender, but also James McAvoy, Stephen Graham and Tom Hardy, and those are just the minor characters

  • @JDrakeify Michael Fassbender is German/Irish NOT British

  • @NaJoJo the irish half is northern irish, that makes him from the UK

  • @JDrakeify But he has a bit of Cork in him too apparently but anyways he's still great

  • @sonaliegh and Tom Hardy.

  • @DrmrGuy1979

Yea I actually haven't seen it yet :D though I would like too. I am a reenactor so I often notice little things like that. Not like it spoils the show, its just annoying once you notice it, like anything else.

  • @DrmrGuy1979

Yea something like port arms. Dale Dye's company worked on Band of Brothers and as Dale Dye was a Vietnam vet I am guessing some of the stuff he did in Nam rubbed off on the series such as the low and ready stance. Anyhow Happy Memorial Day.

  • @DrmrGuy1979

The Low and Ready stance was something that started around Vietnam I believe. Look at any WW2 picture and you won't see it. In WW2 they generally carried that weapons with the barrel pointing up now down. Easiest thing to do would be to Google some pictures of soldiers in WW2.

  • It gets annoying how they hold there weapons in the modern low and ready position all the time. :23

  • 15 PEOPLE ARE REPLACEMENTS. ;-]]

  • i dont understand whats goin on?

  • @hankwest988

You really have had to see the series Sgt. Bull Randleman is leading his patrol through the woods during the Easy Occupation of a town in Germany when they stumble on an abandoned Concentration Camp. Mind you the Allies had no idea these kinds of atrocities were being committed. The town never said anything about the camp or anything, so when Easy startles on this horrific scene of human cruelty they are astonished.

One of the best scenes in the series. The comment was just funny.

  • everyone loves to mess with O'kief

  • Give the kid a break, Give the kid a kit-kat

  • I've always wanted to join the army. My Great Granddad was a WW2 vet, Vietnam vet, and a Korea vet. He died 2000. I promised him I would be in the military as a remembrance. I'm thinkin Combat Medic or Heath Care Specialist if you wanna be technical :)

  • @ashleyster13 Thats realy cool i think im gonna join the army

  • @snottyboi98 Oh? What branch? I'm either thinkin Army or National Guard.

  • @ashleyster13 You must be really young if your Great Grandad was a Vietnam vet.

  • @joelSanFrancisco does 16 count? And I made a mistake. He wasn't in Vietnam or Korea. My dad gave me the wrong info, and I got it confused with other grandparents

  • My great uncle was part of the 101st Airborne, and he was "inspecting" (looting) a french house, and he loaded the silverware in his pack and set off from the house. just then as he was walking with a patrol down the road, a German sniper aimed and shot him in the back. Luckily, the silverware stopped the bullet, and saved his life. He didn't even have time to pick up a spoon after the bullet, and the silver ware exploded out of his pack, ripping it to shreds, but it saved his life. True Story.

  • I bet he's gotten some "bullshit" jokes in the past.

  • england to america: "you're overpaid, oversexed and over here !!

america to england: "you're underpaid, undersexed and under eisenhower !!

  • @whitecoldicecreams The one true bastion, A mighty Island holding out against the full might of the Nazi Wehrmacht. I do not deny that without America, the war would have been lost, But do not talk so discerningly about the men that held out against the Nazi tide, for you only show to be extremely disrespectful in doing so.

  • @GoldMW2 1 : i am not american or britisch. i am from belgium

2: i have a lot of respect for the soldiers in that war.

3: those lines i said came literally from the book: BAND OF BROTHERS.

so before you start acting like a brainless asshole, start thinking !!

  • @whitecoldicecreams he can't think. He's brainless!!!

  • @queputasquiere hahaha, oh yeah! XD

  • @whitecoldicecreams I think GoldMW2 was actually pointing out you stupid contradiction so I don't know what you are laughing for and those lines are still very disrespectful after all it was the British Army and Royal Navy that saved the tattered remains of belgium's "army" that got obliterated in like 2 or 3 weeks, probably why they put the Headquater's of the U.N. in Brussels because it makes it something worth defending for other countrys in the feature because the Belgians can't defend it.

  • @JackGamer193 wtf has that to do with anything, are that kind of guy that seeks people on youtube to fight with huh?

  • @whitecoldicecreams No I'm the kind of guy who cannot stand pathetic idiots who make idiotic comments on things the have no knowledge of. And I ask YOU what was the point of your stupid little jab at the British with that comment in the first place....there wasn't was there....just thought you could be a funny man.

  • @JackGamer193 dude, the things i've said came from the book: band of brothers. it's what the english used to say to the americans! so if you have something against me, you have something against the english during the war ! so who has no respect now huh?!

  • @JackGamer193 dude, the things i've said came from the book: band of brothers. it's what the english used to say to the americans! so if you have something against me, you have something against the english during the war ! so who has no respect now huh?!

  • ''They can hear you heart pounding in Arkansas boy''

  • What's the significance of this video? I haven't seen any Band of Brothers episodes so did I miss out something here? :S

  • @HonorGuard117 Yeah man, you missed the greatest WWII movieseries ever made. Trust me!!!!

  • @HonorGuard117 You missed the best ww2 serie ever! believe me!

  • Comment removed

  • @HonorGuard117 yes you missed the BEST WW2 series EVER Believe Me

  • I never realized how deep Bull's voice was.

  • Yeah. And it's strange because he's on a cop show now, without an accent and higher pitch. Just isn't the same

  • Tech sgts usually had more clerical duties. They also had more direct command over technicians 5th 4th and 3rd grade (pretty much same as their chevron equivalents, with more clerical duties) those are marked with a small "T" under the chevrons. You can see Luz was a technician 5th grade in the episode after foy (forgot the name).

  • @USBrooks actually there is no such thing as a technician fifth grade. the lowest would be a technician four which leebgot was but i believe Luz was a technician second grade

  • There's 5th 4th and 3rd from lowest to highest. There's no 2nd. But I did see the episode again and Luz was a 4th which is the same pay grade as sergeant

  • @USBrooks

The techicinal ranks just mean they have a specialized duty in combat. doesn't mean they are "clerks" if that what you meant

T/5 is a Corporal, T/4 is a sergeant T/3 is a staff sergeant. then it goes up to a TSGT ( master sgt)

    Anyway

The Techincal squad would consist of Machine gun teams. Mortor teams. Medic's and a squad leader (normally a riflemen or SMG gunner.

  • @jonesys12345

yeah like i said, pretty much same as their chevron equivalents, with more clerical duties

  • Myth you make my day bro,

  • Way to kick ass mythically. Good job

  • yes i like watching this part

  • randleman is great in this movie. a hard ass military machine.

  • Is Michael Fassbender in this scene??

  • Michael Fassbender played Burton 'Pat' Christenson? Am I not mistaken?

The guy who's leading this little 'squad' is Christenson.

Why the hell is he a Tech. Sgt.?

Christenson's highest rank was Sgt. Not TSgt. Funny how these things mess up, Easy Company must've only had 2 TSgt's for the entire war, Malarkey and Christenson.

  • Yeah, in the concentration camp scene, Maj Winters is wearing Lt. Colonel. Not a huge deal, but it's still fun to find stuff like that.

  • Believe it or not, things like officers wearing the wrong rank actually happens at times in history. If my last statement was confusing, I will try to elaborate with a little fun fact: throughout the American Civil War, General Robert E. Lee wore the rank of Colonel.

  • isn't tech Sgt air force, not army?

though the rank after staff sgt was sgt first class in the army

  • ah, right, Tsgt wasn't replaced with sgtFC until 1948

  • Yeah, I forgot to mention. The TSgt rank got replaced after WWII.

    My bad.

I just found it weird that one Company only had two TSgt's for the entire duration of the war.

  • Yeah, i thought about that often as well. not really very familiar with how the non-com structure works, though

  • Well, you'd go from Private to Corporal to Sergeant and then on to Staff Sergeant, TSgt and 1st Sergeant. Most Staff Sergeants that got a battlefield commision(to 2nd Lieutenant) usually skipped TSgt/1Sgt altogether.

You'll mostly see Sergeants and the like, but rarely TSgt's.

  • ahaa.. so what would determine whether a ssgt would get a commision to 2nd lt or get promoted to tsgt?

  • Well, let's take Lipton for example(Carwood Lipton), he was with Easy Company from training at Fort Toccoa all the way until Berchtesgaden. His excellent decisions and leadership and strategies got him to a 2nd Lieutenant position all the way from Private.

When Meehan's plane crashed @ D-Day, 1stSgt Evans died and James Diel(SSGT) was made 1Sgt(completely skipping Tsgt). This was because of his leadership and qualities.

  • If you display excellent leadership qualities, are trusted and respected by the man and have proven and paid your dues to the other soldiers. You'll usually go from SSgt to 2ndLt, but it'll take a few years. If you, like Christenson, go from SSgt to TSgt, that's most likely due to there not being a need anymore for Lieutenants.

Or because there's a shortage of good Non-Com leaders.

  • As I've said, the TSgt rank was rarely given out, most likely due to there being no need for it. As SSgt were almost exactly the same(except for the Pay Grade) on terms of respect and discipline.

  • wow.. thanks for all the info :0)

Do you recall what happened to Diel? I just remember Lipton being announced as the new 1st sergeant shortly after they were pulled off the line after Carentan.

and i thought Lipton was sergeant from Toccoa (not private), as Sobel points addresses him as sergeant when he points out that his chevrons aren't sewed on good enough in the first scenes of the movie

  • As far as I know, Punchy Diel was killed near Son, in the Market Garden operation. Around the 17th of September. That's when Lipton got his promotion to 1st Sgt.

Well, they all started out as privates, but Lipton was made Sergeant in the start due to a need for a new sergeant/platoon leader. This most likely means he got promoted immediately upon arrival @ Toccoa.

  • @Mythically I think that TSgt was for guys that used mortars and bazookas cause TSgt stands for tech sergeant

  • You bore me, nobody forces you to read the comments. Have a nice day, kiddo.

  • You bore me with your paragraphed comments.

  • Aww, that's too bad for you isn't it? Maybe you should stop reading them, then you'd get less bored.

  • That's twice, shame. I thought I was dealing with someone a bit smarter than average, judging from your grammatical skills.

It's nice to see you've given up this easily and resorted to swearing, just shows how weak and frail you really are. If you start a flame-war with me, then don't wimp out like a little bastard halfway in.

Come back when you have some guts, or rather, stay away and do yourself a favour.

  • Wow.You're really retarded.

  • Give the Kid a Break give him a Kitkat ^^

  • that sounds funny how he says "boy"

  • thank you!

  • they look too young for all them stripes. and 2nd class sgts dont go on foot patrols

  • lol bull its a legend

  • uuh okay?

  • Everyone who likes Michael Fassbender has a hard time identifying him in the movie. Decided to do at least his talking scenes.

  • Exactly! Thank you!

  • @bobbykl6 u woldnt even b watchin dis vid if these brave man diddnt fight so there is a big point for dis video

  • sound and video quality = excellent. Post more!
