  • Think of it as freestyle. I actually use a lot of this type of thing in my salsa dancing. And I see a good deal of Afro-Cuban in this as well. And of course- hip hop. Haters should just move on.

  • she ruined the beauty of belly dancing !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • she is ugly woman baaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i am afraid !!!!!!!!!

  • I understand when people say that they don't like it when people blend belly dance with other dances. Some people do, some people don't. However, you can't really say that the belly dance of today is truly in its "original" form. Its been influenced by many other cultures over time. Take the costumes for example. Originally (or so I've been told) the dancers wore full dresses, but when the Europeans

  • @fantesizer started coming over they developed their own fantasy image of the dancers. So the dancers started changing themselves to accommodate this. As a result, the dancers of today sort of resemble sparkly show girls (at least in cabaret anyway).

  • Don't mean to be rude, but this is not enough bellydancing!!! Starting the video, instead of whipping her hair back and forth she shud have started shaking her hips!!!! That's a big turn off!!! It wasn't all bad, but the rhythm and beats of this music needed more hip movements than the hip hop remix she put into this.

  • como se llama esta cancion?

  • I don't understand why some people are so critical. I enjoy seeing all different forms of belly dance as I am learning belly dance. Good job, Amar! I like the Native American influence to her outfit also. "Variety is the spice of life." :)

  • she's like the egyptian queen nefertiri!

  • Wtf???????

  • OK , this is some kind of tribal fusion? Hope so ...

  • @nickichick I think it's fine to dislike this video on account of her fusion just not working - the shoulder pops/disco arms are kinda awful and wouldn't look good in any kind of dancing; she does have skill otherwise when she's not pushing that body movement. You can "understand" this kind of dancing, and still think it doesn't look good.

  • o que é isso hein????????

  • What the hell is she "dancing"?

  • @windandfire22 It's african style - music and dance and she is very good.

  • Omg.. what a cool choreo!! it looked like a African bellydance fusion and thats so cool if you manage to perform it properly! and be honest.. she did

  • Luv her costume

  • This is worst than shuffling! Fuck!

  • الرجل الالي بس هالمره مؤنث

  • Belly dancer, Sadie, is better. I see she is incorporating a more modern & salsa feel to it, but belly dancing should be authentic.

  • Good job....beautiful perfect body,

  • A little African Dance, a little Navajo Dance, a little Tribal Dance, and a little belly dance.

Long time I haven't seen her bellydance. She's making her own moves.

    You go girl!!

  • search for belly dancer -nino lejava! she is great

  • That was awesome. It was like the bunny hop meets bellydancing...and it was seemless too!

  • She´s done really a good job!!! I really liked what i´ve seen!!

  • She is such a good dancer, she's blending in a few dancing styles and making them her own, and it looks so natural, great to see something new.

  • So it is well done fusion?!

  • eww, i dont like the latin she mixed into it

  • Nice ..

  • This is not belly dancing. It's good dancing using your belly and hips but not belly dancing.

  • I dont like this

  • pure arts daiomnd. i adore it respect hear hear art of billy dance

  • I feel that because she has decided to fuse her native dance with that of bellydance, does not rob bellydance of it's authenticity. As long as, this fusion is temporary, and not a permanent fixture there is no harm done to the art of belly dance.

  • Correction, this is not actual belly dancing. It is a fusion of various dances and belly dancing thus creating its own unique following. That does NOT make it bad. That does NOT make this woman or others like her less talented. Dance is like music, some of it you like and some of it you don't.

  • @DemonicRune The best statement written to date. This should be posted at every fusion site. I mean Cyber Gothic Industrial Tribal Fusion (?), BELLY DANCE?? It has morphed into something totally other, at that point.

Can it be well done and beautiful? Yes. Please do not call it belly dance.

  • you suck.

  • She is beautiful. Not a fan of this costume on her. NOT a fan of this choreography either.

  • she's great! love her unique mixed break dance style!

  • I'm usually a tough sell on fusion bellydance, but I like this. It's a great mix of BD, west african, samba etc...even down to the costume! and she's beautiful, esp when she's not making cheesy burlesque faces.

  • I gotta learn this.. hotness!!! :D

  • Super performance!

  • WTF

  • this is not authentic Middle Eastern Raqs Sharki, duh , sorry!!

  • Whatever ignorant people wanna comment, Amar Gamal is an exceptional dancer -very technical. Personally, I don't appreciate all of the moves, because they're not my style, but can certainly appreciate the muscular control it takes to put a piece like this together. She's fanominal in her performance/ presentation, whether anyone likes the particular style or not.

  • sorry but, she is rubish at what she is doing!! :(

  • 131 dislikes are just pissed cause she's not white X3

  • wé ya ke le costume ki es bo koi c du nimporte koi cmt lé gens remix de nos jours pffff

  • tro null

  • Loving her costume!

  • Just because she added a few hip drops and isolations, doesn't mean she is a belly dancer .

  • @890luckycharms THANKU..SOME ONE WHO KNOWS WHAT REAL TALENT AND ART IS..NOT THIS AFRO MUMBO JUMBO BS..THAT NOT BELLY DANCING PLZ!!!

  • shes not very good, sorry.

  • @zimsistress AGREE 100% NOT GOOD!

  • @zimsistress I'm sure u could do better....Not!

  • great

  • encore un effort on aura bientot de la pluie !!

  • ...on canvas. It makes something new, intriguing and highly appeasing. If the "belly dancers guild" has not petitioned, or filed litigation against her, then let the entertainment continue,

  • I just adore how ignorance tends to spew from the mouths of the blissful. No one is born to dance, however how you are reared makes the difference. Who cares that she is not of middle eastern descent, that is the beauty of it. She is of Afro-Cuban heritage and dances "raqs sharqi." No one complains when those of the middle eastern dances hip hop, or fuses it with there native dance. That is the beauty of international culture, cultures are fusing to create something beautiful, like mixed media..

  • @venusian22 Arabic are not living just in middle eat, i'm arabic girl from north africa so, i'm african, but we don't dare to mix african dance with our "sharrki" bellydance because this is not a good thing , we should keep this dance away from modernity and changes , this dance sould remain original . that's it,

  • @tamurthDZ You can say that all that you want, but guess what...is it happening? NO!!! If this dance remained in it's purest form we would not have this. If it remained in it's purest form, there would not variations of belly dance, like Turkish Cabaret, etc. I could care less about what you are others say, belly dance is beautiful as a fusion too.

  • @tamurthDZ Sharqi has elements of African dance at it's core. The drum and rhythms are African. This fusion is a personal choice and an expression of creativity. I'm sure she wouldn't do this at a ME wedding.

  • Extreme shimmies

  • it's ok to try new things ,but then don't call it ,,Nubian,, as she did. It's not, even close.

  • to me she is a dancer...she can express her bellydance moves trou her background "latino" as long as it's nice to enjoy watching....

  • Emotion in the face great!

  • Kinda cool mix!

  • I totally agree Natissoindie & I´d also like to add that even if you are not a lover of fusion choreographies etc please at least pay attentionand recognise when a dancers vocabulary & movements are much more advanced than your own...I´ll mentionno names

  • Interesting. This choreography isn't my favorite but she is still an accomplished dancer; her skill and talent shines as always.

  • وعععِ كنهآ منِ الهنود الحمرِ ههههههههههآإويَ

    -

  • parece a macarena!

  • what the fuck is this?

  • Another one that spends more time swirling around and doing all kinds of movements instead of belly dancing

  • Soo amazing and inspiring!! She's definitely one of my favorite dancers!!

  • Being a professional artist means having the courage to innovate. Appreciating art means going beyond the comfort of personal preference to attempt to understand the artists intentions. Just so we're clear on where the "NOT BELLYDANCE" contingent stands.

  • Lo haces muy bonito tu liga de africano con tecno y danza arabe, muy único.

  • This is not that good. I'm surprised. Her body doesn't flow well. This is not a good style for her.

  • Her bottom half does great...the upper half not so good...the flailing stiff arms is not attractive. needs some bracelets or something to distract how long her arms are...but really if you cover the upper half its not bad

  • c'est la dance de pocahontas xd ^^

  • no que ela estava pensando quando fez essa coreografia??????????

  • She has some nice moves but Amal has never been my favorite belly dancer. Her style does nothing for me.

  • Comment removed

  • I like it alot, when someone puts something innovative those that can't invent anything new start hating!

  • @ARTEMOCION well said :)

  • no me gusta esta danza no se lo ke es un intento de afro , alguien me dice k significa esta danza????? ke raro ella siempre baila hermano pero aki la cago¡¡¡

  • OMG!!! Who said these are supreme shimmies?? This is bad "bellydance" with shit samba this sucks!

  • Shes to skinny she needs more meat on her to look right :P just saying and this is definitively not belly dancing this shit is mixed with merengua and some other type of dance -__-....good day!

  • i like it, dinamic movements, her fusion style is amazing , her technique too.

    a very wonderful belly dance.

  • AMAZINGG DANCE BRAVOOO

  • this is actually belly dance. She's a world renown dancer known for her unique fusion of ballet, latin, jazz, and afro-fusion. Her first love was belly dance and she has made it unique, so please stop hating just because you don't actually know what belly dance is.

  • @natissoindie by making it unique or combining it with other forms of dance, that makes it no longer belly dance. It a fusion, but it isn't purely belly dance. Pointing out that technicality isn't hating.

  • @natissoindie I agree, she make that look easy..another like vote here

  • no cood

  • i think she need to show more skin in thighes section

  • It's latin dance, hip hop and belly dance

  • she put latin moves in it too

  • a sort of african tribal belly dance fusion!wonderful!!!

  • I really like that shimmy she does walking backwards @1:06

  • it has some elements of bellydance but i dont know what she is dancing

  • this is not bellydance!!

  • She maybe more your speed in Amar Gamal Mastering the Dance — perfomance.avi

  • This is bellydacining with three different styles. It's beauitful. Very few people can come up with thier own style without following another. It's Good.

  • it is bellydance, but with a lot of african dance moves incorporated. there is an arabic rythm in the song, cant remember which one it is, but it goes doum doum tak doum tak

  • A STAR...WHATS THE NAME OF MUSIC???? YES A FUSION OF A DIFFERENT STILE.... TRIBAL....ARAB... AND MODERN

  • A STAR...WHATS THE NAME OF MUSIC????

  • Comment removed

  • What is she trying to do? It seems to me a mix of three styles: arabic music, indigena costume and African dance. Weird. I don't like it.

  • wwiiii bellydance africanoo wepaaa!!!!!!! mueve el boteeee

  • I love her, but this is freakin' weird. It's a person who has no clue about African dance trying to do a belly/african dance fusion. She's a great belly dancer, but an West African dancer, she is far from. She should just stick to what she knows or train for a few more years before presenting poorly executed African movement.

  • I LOVE it!!!! Instead of doing a ton redunant tecnique, she is throwing some fun moves and poses in there. A breath of fresh air instead of watching the same thing I have seen a thousand times. Its like this girl is really getting down and cutting the rug. Keep up the good work!

  • no no no

  • espantoso que es esto??? what is this???? eso es tribal?? horrible

  • Absolutely perfect!!!

  • I DON'T LIKE ALL FUSION BELLY DANCING, BUT I LOVE THIS YOUNG LADIES MIX. SOME PEOPLE JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND, SHE HAS ALL THE MOVES FOR REGULAR BELLY DANCING! I GUESS HER NAME IS AMAR--SHE HAS IT GOING ON.

  • Me encanta!!! es precioso.

  • that actually looks awesome who cares what kind/style of dance it is. :)

  • No matter what style it is,it's BEAUTIFULL!

  • Ela dança um absurdoooo! Mas, não gosto dessas fusões modernosas não! Gosto da dança do ventre clássica!

  • its too controlled

  • BEAUTIFUL,cant stop watching.

  • masquebiroscaéessa?

  • ok this is quite modern and a kind of fusion but one can't deny that she is a great dancer

  • it was ok

  • You are great theres haters!!!! Out there. Bad comments cause there jelous..

  • fail

  • It looks to me like a fusion of bellydance and african dance.

  • @kundalinidancer8 that is right, this is the answer to many comments

  • THIS IS NOT BELLYDANCE , I DONT LIKE

  • @cecibel191 This is one of many FUSIONS of belly dance.

  • @cecibel191 its her own style, she infused it with other styles of dance.

  • @cecibel191 thats great mex bazil african egyptian aerobics ,, she is awsome ,, she is showing so many diffirent cultures in few minutes ,,, she is number 1 !!!

  • @cecibel191 Look, it's just a fusion, Middle Eastern, and bit of African, all while dressed like a 70's American Indian. Nothin' wrong with that :))

  • @cecibel191 I think you stopped the video after the first minute. her shimmies are very good 1:25 - 2:00. Her other videos of traditional dance are also quite good, not like this. this may have been her attempt at trying something new (looks like a tribal fusion, but not sure what the fusion is). As a belly dancer yourself, you should understand the desire and courage it takes to try. That goes for everyone else who commented saying mean things.

  • this is something new...:)

  • I don't like her.. her arms and movements are to aggressive or something.. she looks crazy or on drugs.. and when she walks her steeps are too big/wide.. as if she wants to run :P

Sorry my opinion, i like the traditional bellydance..

  • @Pumanish that's exactly what I like about her! It's modern!

  • @IAmARedSpecial But then they shouldn't call it bellydance, they should have a new name for it :p

But i understand what you mean, she is good and she can probably dance traditional bellydance :)

  • @Pumanish I don't get why they would give a new name to it, it are the same moves, but the construction is different...

Haha, every dances own style :)

  • nice costume

  • My cat tries to fight with the computer while I'm watching this video 0_0

  • 哈哈哈.好看!!~!```

  • YOU ARE FANTASTIC !!!!!!

  • She a little freak
