it has nothing to do with an excuse jl audio 12w7 only has a sensitivity of 86 db/volt that is not very high.. but the great thing about it is it sounds amazingly clear at a loud volume compared to other subs but in terms of loudness it is no where near the loudest 12, there are plenty of 12s that are louder the 12w7 is just very clear all in all it is an excellent sub that is overpriced

umm how big is the box? i have 2 kicker cvr's in huge 3 sq feet boxes(1 for each sub) and they hit the lows so hard... and they are only 50 dollar subs and $100 amp. not to mention they proly hit 130 db's (havnt tested em yet) but like i said, its only a $200 system and it fucks my car up

prefabbed boxes are gay as shit, get a custom box, for btl's, i'd recommend 7.0 @ 35hz, and give each of them 1500rms, then you can say you will demolish systems.
