I wonder if Breslin will get another Oscar nomination for this movie or her upcoming My Sisters Keeper which I heard was Oscar bait. The Kit dolls are cool, even if I'm 19 years old I'd get one of my own and out it on my nightstand :).

Lol that's totally true; which Kit Kitteridge dolls do you have? I'd have to ask for it for christmas. I have some porcelain dolls, stuffed animals, beanie babies, teddy bears, figurines, Spongebob stuff, Build A Bear stuff, a red haired doll that looks like one of those classical dolls, and now I would want a Kit Kitteridge doll or at least one of her friends. I looked at the site, they're expensive but I'd rather just get the doll than just have to get clothes for them.

I love that movie, and I love Kit, I have her and love her!!! I feel sorry for the people who lived back then!!! I am buying that movie when it comes out!!! During the movie right before it started I held up my Kit doll and yelled Kit Rocks, and then my mom gave me a funny look!!! (and my little sis held her doll up too and said, Nellie rocks)

i saw the movie and it was my favorite ag movie! it was so sad though in some of the parts but i like how they discovered it wasn't the hobo who went to ruthie's house and stole there stuff. i love that movie!

Ahhh, yet another thing that almost convinces me I must not be a girl :x I never did like over-the-top girly movies. These kind of "tidied up" movies that made depressing times in the past look all clean and nice don't teach kids anything but disrespect. "It's really not that bad being homeless." WTF? What's next? A fluffed up version of Anne Frank, starring Hillary Duff? Then kids will be like. "The holocaust wasn't that bad- Anne was pretty and cool and didn't have it that bad." :)?

Just because the movie is "girly" it does not mean that it can not cover real life serious issues with quality acting and historical detail. Actually 5 years after 1934 American workers were thanking Hitler for starting WWII ending the last years of the 1930's Depression. So your comments on the Homeless and Anne Frank are a little too poorly used. WWII left millions homeless & dead in Europe, Anne Frank included.Unless you plan to enjoy the upcoming WWII action film on the anti-Nazi Resistance.

kit is awesome. i saw the special engagement on june 20th, at the grove with my mom. we went at 9:30, to see the movie. a good amount of moms daughters and dads were there, and most of them had kit. i was suprised because it was the first viewing of the day. i brought my only doll molly, with me to the movie, and am getting kit and some clothes of hers for my birthday.

ok, Abigail Breslin IS avery talented young actress and i enjoy watching her in movies and,ok she has a bright future ahead but i thought the "Watch Your Back Dakota Fanning" a little over the line. Abigail Breslin is awesome but as of right now DAkota Fanning is the best. Abi is kind of pretty far away to catching up. But this is just my opinion again. Didnt mean to offend anyone. sorry if i did.

Well, bear in mind that the movie presents the great depression to seem a lot nicer, as not to frighten the children, and also remember in the great depression, large groups of people who lost everything would group together in shanties called "hoover towns", where at least they had a community support system going. It did really suck, then and now to be homeless, but it's not surprising she wouldn't think that from watching a movie showing a sanitized version of the early 30's.
