Incredible bike! Can someone please give me some tips about bikes? I'm wanting to get either an electric or motor bike to get around faster but don't know which to get. Electric bikes I hear don't go very fast but save $ over time and motor bikes are hard to build and require a lot of upkeep yet can fly down the street like the one in the video. I'm not rolling in $ but I've saved up some for a good one. I don't know which to get, can someone give me advice? Thanks!
@Zegeebwah I have two electric and one 80 cc. Actually, my 1000W/48V is faster than the 80 cc. Electric is nicer and quiet but much more expensive, the batteries are expensive and fragile. They take time to charge and are difficult to repair. Gas engines are simple inexpensive and reliable, however, they make noise, smell and are not welcome in parks. With electric most people don't even know why you're unbeatable on bike trails- if you use pedals. You could't pull this with the gas engine.
Just a note of common sense. The motor requires a certain amount of back pressure to operate properly. Complete removal of the baffle assembly will cause many severe issues if left out and ran this way for very long. Try drilling more holes in the baffle but then reinstalling it this will reduce back pressure and increase performance without the disastrous results of complete baffle removal. Keep drill ing more holes and trying it.There will be a point where you reach MAX +effect.
If you haven't rode a bike in years, don't relearn on one of these. I took a turn way too fast and went flying into the woods. I think I hit a stump or deep hole. I remember looking down and seeing the bike, but it was odd because I saw the sky and treetops beyond the bike. That's when I realized that I wasn't having a good day anymore. Nearly passed out from the pain. I almost died.
hi can you help me my motor is dead choppy at top end and doesnt like to acclerate that quickly on your vid at 51 seconds that choppy noise for that second well mine is like that from half speed upwards it probly does 22-27 mph
@Carmador a baffle is what silences the noise. the exaust flow has to turn corners with no straight line out of the muffler which is what a baffle is.
so its classed as a moped. Cus you need all there here obviously for a moped but i thort u wudnt have 2 cus its a push bike? haha i dont no. Cheers anyways man.
@liverpoolno14eva rules for the UK-illegal unless you use a 250watt motor, but nobody wants to do that, just make the engine as silent and least obvious as possible, use a 4 stroke if possible, also your from Liverpool, which is a big city so your gonna get it noticed, since i live in the Sussex countryside, I should be fine
hmm I wouldn't have completely chopped off the end lol... maybe you could have just reshapped the muffler. Sure you would lose some of the potential power but you would also avoid damaging the engine. Then again the enigne may run fine the way it is. But well I still believe you should simply reshape the muffler instead. make a triangular incision on the bigger part then apply pressure to make it into more of a cone shape.
You can burn up the piston and even weld it to the cylinder running without a muffler. All 2 strokes NEED back pressure to run effeciently and have more power.
5x more power would mean getting 10-13.75 horsepower from a 2-2.75hp engine with a pipe mod only, it will not happen. You must have the back pressure.
I did say, without a muffler, in otherwords, nothing there at all. Zip, nodda, nothing but air. Anyhow, it's very unwise to run them that way.
The way the person is riding his in this video probably wouldn't hurt much, but I still wouldn't do it for very long, like a real long day of hard riding in the mountains.
Guess it's more of an opinion, optional sort of thing, fair enough?
A cylinder will seize from excess heat (To the point the structural integrity of the piston is on the verge or collapse, and to the point the piston actually MELTS).
The only way this will happen is detonation, precombustion, excess heating of the piston crown, either from fuels or exhaust restriction, to oil starvation.
A straight port motor will run fine, however without a PIPE, it will not have the positive/negative pressures to make an efficient burn.
try with the muffler off and see how fast you go, but beware you could end up on your azz lol try it out and let me know how you did better yet post a vid ok later
I disagree, I have a motorcycle, a bicycle, and a motorized bicycle, and I get more people come up to me when I am on my motorized bike, They are alot of fun due to the weight and size you can throw them around more.. I actually take out my motorized bike more than the cycle
if ur still breaking it in n the gas oil mixure has a 16:1 ratio it'll probably only go 15 to 20 so i would just wait for your engine to break in and use a little less oil in your mixture i have the grubee skyhawk 80cc and it says for my engine after break-in which is about 2 tanks to switch the mixture to 30:1
can you put these kits on a 20in BMX bike as long as a shorten the chain i have a chain shortening tool...i figure as long as i mod the frame to hold the motor itwill be no problem...please respond with your thoughts
.... and you couldnt just say thx for ur input but that doesnt sound right to me or not put a comment at all ... instead of an insult??? oh and its my opinion that theyre stupid so dont start shit with me about that ... i just dont see the point why not buy a real bike that wont fall apart in like 2 weeks... these engine kits are cheap and i do know that for a fact ... so thx and have a great day insulting everyone i hope u feel better about yourself
u ppl are ignorant sacks of shit for calling me a dumbass i leave my youtube logged on all time and ppl use my computer whenever they please dont call me a dumbass because im not i think all these bike things are stupid to begin with and your insulting me when i didnt put that on there let alone understand what the fuck this shit means so thanks for being an inconsiderate asshole by insulting me... no wonder the world is so fucked up ppl cant be nice to each we all just gotta insult one another
kittie 1389, i hate to waist my time writeing a comment but you are a retard. yes you do get more power and a higher top speed. the reason; when you take the baffel out you have a strait pipe and you have no backpresure. the exhaust gases have nothing to slow them down and therefor higher rpms can be enjoyed. the problem is (besides the noise) you run a much higer risk of flopping the piston. what ive done as a compramise is cut 1" off the main shaft on the baffel.
Pulling out the baffle does not increase speed. Your letting you mind believe that the higher sound is a sign of higher power or rpm and thats just not so. As I've gone through two of these engines already I can tell you that before you even hit the road for the first time take a hammer and bang the very end slightly in on several angles to prevent the baffle from exceding the length of the muffler housing
shut the fuck up you dumb bitch i raced lawnmowers and whenever i put a straight pipe on them they have tremendous increase in power removing the baffle will do the same thing ... plus it sounds cool :)
i removed the baffle from my 48cc and in my opinion it gained like 2x more power!! but in high rotation sounds very loud but in low rotations sounds like a 600cc bike! i hope removing baffle don't damage the engine and i think it does not make any diference in engine lifetime... (sorry my english)
2 strokes require back-pressure unlike 4 strokes because they have a resonance cycle which is required to pull new fuel/air in and push the old stuff out, i suggest replacing the baffle immediately to ensure your engine runs longer than 2 more weeks.
i have a 4 stroke kit and i run it without the baffle it hits 42 with the baffle but i always take it off because it fits my setup and i like piss-in off the cops
It gives a power increase @ the expense of higher engine temp & noise. A better option is to replace the tube attached to the endcap (drill it out from the outside)with something about 12-14mm/half" ID the same length so all the baffles are used & drill/file the baffle holes in the muffler the same. Will give increased power by improving gas flow without excessive heat, noise or fuel consumption.
Hey people, I got a question about this... I have the same bicycle engine (its 49cc technically), but my baffle actually vibrated out over the months! So now I ride without it and noticed a big power increase, but its the same loudness as the dude on this vid... So will having the baffle removed from this 2 stroke risk any damage? I'm thinking if I over heat it obviously but if i don't will I be alright?
2 stroke? you need the back pressure, also you will burn down your motor like that, you need the backpressure to have an efficient powerful motor. if its a 4stroke the power MAY have slightly increased. but you run the risk of melting your valves.
that just proves you know jack shit buddy, the temperature of the head or outside of the motor won't change much, the part of the piston on the exhaust port side is what will burn down.
fukin sleder! a bike engine is alot more simple than a sled! and you have no vids! what the fuck! your an agresive punk shit weazel. go up north where you wont bother peaple on the internet! see peaple not all canadians are polite!
i know that i bike engine is simpler. i ride dirtbikes too. Im trying to get across that even if your motor is 15degrees hotter it will burn down possibley, but your spit bubling will be identicle or really close to how fast it evaporated at normal temp.
actually its not back-pressure that you need its sound bouncing back to push the freshgas bac into cyiinder from exhaust, you dont need bck pressure, and i now this because we used to race 250cc high-performance 2-strokes so dont reply iwith a buch of BS.
man your fucking stupid, expansion pipes create pressure waves, because from the port they go from, highpressure, to low pressure, then to high again, so the waves take the way of least resistance which is back into the port. the hot gasses excaping from the cylinder rapidly build pressure in the pipe, that doesnt allow unburned fresh fuel to pass from port to port. the perfect pipe will create the broadedst powerband and efficiency. Knock or detonation will occur from exessive heat from no pipe
im gonna troll every one of your videos you douche bag. no wonder u live in a motel and have no license, eat shit and die u fuck

The one guy is right, doubt it would "weld" or "melt" a piston, but it could warp it and/or the cylinder. Bla bla bla, it was all said once.
HostileHST 2 years ago
Warp = possible ceisure = engine blow'd up = fubar'd = walking home, etc.
Nothing may "melt", I agree, but still man, warping can ruin an engines top end, so who cares about the "proper" lingo......it's just bad bad bad.
HostileHST 2 years ago 4
Warping can cause ceisure....right?
