I´m buying this one during summer. Raising money for it. I only have a Squier and by the time I´ll be buying my King-V I´ll already have 4 eyears and half of guitar experience, so I want to go to metal covers already. The stuff I have right now is locking me.

@bradvssasha What model was the BC Rich? The high end ones are nicer than any of the JS Series from Jackson. If it was a low end BC, then I would have a really hard time believing you.

@bradvssasha I guess we have different taste in guitars then. The only one I like that I've played is the Chuck Schuldiner Stealth model. I was not too pleased with the last KKV I played a while ago. No offense.

@bradvssasha I recently dropped SD Blcakouts into my RR3 and absolutely love it. Deans are cool, but I feel that for as much as you pay for a DBZ, you can get a nice USA Jackson. IMO.

@bradvssasha BC Rich's V is in a God-awful purple color, but otherwise isn't too bad. I just hate purple. There's no point in playing that much for a guitar and it being in a hideous color. The RRV7 by Jackson hasn't been made in forever so getting one around here is about impossible. I guess I'll save up my money for a custom shop Jackson.
@tenhundredkills theres also a cheap dean razoback 7 string sounds good but i thinks its better for costomizing my self but if you want a costom shop look at eather kxk or ran jackson will cost you a ball and an eye and kxk and ran are much better guitars
@bradvssasha I considered the Razorback seven string, but I hate Floyd Roses. I've never heard of KxK and I don't trust Ran. I'd rather pay more to have an American built Jackson. Just my opinion.

@tenhundredkills i can't play solos for some reason so we have the rhythm guitarist play the solos for us. hes not as fast as me but he plays kinda like hammet mixed with mustaine in varied parts. (that is to say in their slower solos of course.)

Alright. Chris Cannella definatley doesn't look like Kerry King. Just because he's large, bald, and has a beard, doesn't mean he looks like KK. His head is much more round than Kerry's.

@loljonasfail I would get the Ibanez in a heartbeat over the Floyd model of this guitar. the Ibanez just have more playability in my opinion. better neck, much better neck JOINT, the trems are about the same in quality. also the electronics on the Ibanez are lightyears ahead of Jackson.
but, if you still want to go with a King V, the KVX10 doesn't look bad. but for the price, i've always found that Ibanez beats Jackson in feel and features.
@gjmatamoros if you want a King V with a Floyd Rose, i wouldn't suggest buying the JS model with the Floyd on it. i'm sure it would work good, but i think it would be prudent to spend a bit more and get the KVX10 model. it's got a little better electronics in it (the Jackson pickups suck) and it kinda looks better IMHO. if you can really splurge, you could consider the ones that have the ORIGINAL Floyd Rose on em. those are really expensive though, but they're worth it.
I slammed in a couple of EMG's and a preamp booster in that guitar. Damn!!!! That guitar sounded good. I slightly regret that I sold it though :( Anyway, if you want a good guitar for a good prize, get this guitar and just change the pickups.
@tarydon2010 The pickups suck, but i switched mine out for some Seymour Duncan Blackouts and it sounds amazing now =] So yeah, i would definitely change them out for something else
i was thinking about getting a king v but its string thru and its long scale ......i like to bend the strings alot is it harder to bend the stringes on a long scale guitar? cuz the strings are tighter or w/e lol
@SomeoneStoleMyPants depends what you're more comfortable playing. i have an sg, its unbalanced, but i like the neck feel on it. the neck weighs more than the body, so it keeps tilting when playing standing up. the jackson is more balanced, but has a very flat neck, i personally like that about it, but it depends on my you like. this jackson also has a bolt on neck, giving you a little less sustain, but it'll be cheaper. the sg has a set neck, but is more expensive.
@SomeoneStoleMyPants Don't worry, nowadays, you can get any guitar to sound like anything you want it to. Buy this Jackson, you'll thank me when you'll use the 23rd and 24th frets for your solos, really inspiring and much more freedom! Also, if u like AC/DCs sound, u can change the pickups to some Dimarzio Air zone, Tone zone, Norton or simply the Gibson Angus young sig. Pickup. I've got one of those and replaced the brigde p.u with a dimebucker and what a guitar! Capable of anything really.
really i've been playing for 3 years and i have an epiphone les paul standard plus top and it sounds amazing i paid about 549 bucks for it and i think even if you buy a low price guitar it doesent mean your a beginner so i hate hearing that

@bradvssasha If you really like active pickups, ESP guitars are usually loaded with EMG 81/85 or 81/60 set. I'd give 'em a look.

@tarydon2010 The pickups suck, but i switched mine out for some Seymour Duncan Blackouts and it sounds amazing now =] So yeah, i would definitely change them out for something else

@SomeoneStoleMyPants depends what you're more comfortable playing. i have an sg, its unbalanced, but i like the neck feel on it. the neck weighs more than the body, so it keeps tilting when playing standing up. the jackson is more balanced, but has a very flat neck, i personally like that about it, but it depends on my you like. this jackson also has a bolt on neck, giving you a little less sustain, but it'll be cheaper. the sg has a set neck, but is more expensive.

@SomeoneStoleMyPants Don't worry, nowadays, you can get any guitar to sound like anything you want it to. Buy this Jackson, you'll thank me when you'll use the 23rd and 24th frets for your solos, really inspiring and much more freedom! Also, if u like AC/DCs sound, u can change the pickups to some Dimarzio Air zone, Tone zone, Norton or simply the Gibson Angus young sig. Pickup. I've got one of those and replaced the brigde p.u with a dimebucker and what a guitar! Capable of anything really.

really i've been playing for 3 years and i have an epiphone les paul standard plus top and it sounds amazing i paid about 549 bucks for it and i think even if you buy a low price guitar it doesent mean your a beginner so i hate hearing that
