Kate Shares Her Recovery Process After Spinal Fusion

November 9 2005. I had it in the neck my second and third were fused together its not a fun process to say the least...The walking was one of he worst parts because I had to move. I wound up having infection after I went home and there were some problems but Im great now. :)

I had a spinal fusion on July 30th. I was in the middle of training for a triathlon.

Recovery seems to be such a painstakingly SLOW process! I was experiencing relentlless burning and had a steroid injection in my left hip.The burning has subsided. I wonder if this pain in my lower back will ever go away enough for me to get back into biking and running? I would love an update on your progress!
