  • Anyone else notice the crossing bell sounds almost like one of those old US&S "teardrop"-shaped bells?

  • DESTORYED IN SECONDS

  • @maddiieeftw I know! Usually cars don't explode like that when a train hits them :P

  • ah i love it at BF in vt

  • I watched this at the NRM when I was 5

  • I saw this in head start. it would be a bad idea to park a car on the train tracks.

  • what about inshoreance

  • @gohockey1000 I always thought maybe Sly Fox parked his car on the tracks just to try and collect insurance fraud. Either that, or he wanted to see what happens when a train hits a car.

  • when did baby's learn how to drive???

  • 0:53 OWNED!

  • Wailwoad Cwossin =3

  • WHY would somone randomly stick a good car on the tracks????????????

  • Its like cash for clunkers I guess.

  • Maybe he wanted to see what happens when a train hits a car? Or it could be an insurance fraud attempt! :P

  • @yourname129 - He's just using that as an example of when a car dies on the tracks... :P Just sayin'...

  • Sly Fox is AWESOME!

  • THE GATES, RED LIGHTS AND BELLS MEAN FLOOR IT YOU STUPID BOID, NOW GET OUTTA DA WAY

    and then he gets hurt

    or killed

  • You are sick!

  • @SpamNapkin ROFLMAO

  • I saw this when I was in Kindergarten. It was presented by FEC (AKA Florida East Coast Railroad).

  • Birdie kinda reminds me of Woodstock from the Peanuts comics, except she's much smarter and can speak English (Woodstock can only chirp)

  • Unless Birdie could've said "You'll see a crossbuck, which is a crossing sign with an X."

  • I noticed that Birdie refers to the crossing sign as "a sign with an X." I guess the producers figured that little kids wouldn't understand what "crossbuck" means. Same reason why Birdie described a train derailment as a "train turning over."

  • In my area, all but one of the railroad crossings had only the lights and bells; no gates. But in 1997 when the MBTA commuter trains started going through, they upgraded all those crossings with new gates. But it's too bad there aren't any wigwags around Massachusetts anymore. Either they originally didn't have any, or all of them got taken down and replaced with gates, red lights and bells.

  • Tell me about it. My brother reported on his way home from one of his appointments he stopped at a railway crossing, and he saw people driving across the tracks as the lights were flashing and a commuter train was coming! This crossing was not equipped with gates; just red lights and bells. Hopefully they'll notice and install gates at that crossing!

  • I saw this when I was in 6th. grade. It was presented by CSX.

  • When I saw it in 4th grade, it was presented by the Brockton Police Department and MBTA. Incidentally, the CSX railroad goes through my city too.

  • You can tell Operation Lifesaver (co-producer of this video) is concerned about safety with cars vs. trains. In fact they were SO concerned, they got all iffy over Disney and Pixar with their "Cars" movie in 2006 (the scene with Lightning McQueen racing a train to a railroad crossing)

  • by the way .. how did Foxy get on the tracks if the gates were still there at 00:53 !??!?!

  • He probably drove around them. Some idiots do that at the crossings and then die.

  • well .. no, because:

    1. The gates almost covered the whole road

    2. The car went onto the track in a straight line

    3. The car is on the right side of the road

    lol wtf !?

  • Some people can still attempt to drive around a closed gate that blocks the entire road. But they'll still get in trouble, or at least "hurt or killed!"

  • You'd be surprised the lengths people will go to try and get across grade crossings. People are really, really stupid.

  • I'm not leaving any of my Transformers in a car on a track! They're worth dying for!

  • That isn't a train, It's a truck on rails.

    Simply a rather odd video...

  • It looks more like a cartoonized GP40-2 to me

  • WOW this one has a gate, and red lights, and bells!! OMG i never saw that OMG best day of my life!! HOLY SHIT red lights !! WOW !!!

  • The railroad crossings in my area used to have red lights and bells only. But when they opened the commuter train line passing through, they added gates to the crossings

  • Well, not all rail crossing signs have lights, bells, and gates, Sscls.

  • well yes i know, but the way he was saying it was funny xD

  • I wonder what it'd be like if the crossing had one of those old wig-wag signals? I could picture Sly Fox saying "Wow! This one has a disk with a red light on it swinging back and forth!" but those signals are unfortunately slowly disappearing around the country, and being replaced with "a gate, red lights and bells!"

  • I saw this whole video as a child.

  • I also remember hearing the same train horn sounds on "Rocko's Modern Life."

  • WOW THIS ONE HAS A RED LIGHT AND BELLS

  • Pretty much ALL of them do, and most of them have gates, too. Many of the railroad crossings in my city had gates added to them around 1997.

  • "Rayroad" crossing?

  • Maybe Birde has kind of a southern drawl when she says "railroad".

  • That fox is stupid! He actually drove onto the railroad tracks and just left his car there and let the train hit it! I don't think the car just "up and dies" on the railroad track. I remember seeing this in the 2nd grade.

  • Maybe he just wanted to see what happens when a train hits a car. Usually cars don't explode like that when a train hits them.

  • I don't know. I think it would depend on how fast the train is going. On "Train Wrecks", I saw a car burst into flames after getting hit by a train.

  • And I once saw a video clip on a "Train Wrecks" special on FOX where a train hit a truck, and it exploded like the car in that animated clip.

  • Oh, yeah. I remember that, too.

  • A GATE, RED LIGHTS, AND BELLS

  • Car got owned...

  • Rule 34

  • O_O
