you can kill phantoms because you get the phantom sword later in the game and you stab them in the back.

you have to get the phantom sword, it is after all the temples

you need to get the phantom sword(i think i said thatXDDDD) but you can also stund them with an arrow to the back(if you have the phantom sword just stab them in the backXD)

yeah, i had the camera between two boxes over my ds and apperently the boxes were too far apart
