Evanescence was Ben and Amy. But I think their split was inevitable. I think if Ben had stayed, Amy would have been the one to leave. It just so happened that Amy kept the band name. Had things been different, it would have been Ben with Evanescence, making music like We Are The Fallen. So who gives a shit?
Evanescence hasn't been the same ever since Ben Moody left. Amy Lee though has a fantastic voice has failed to take evanescence to greater heights. It took them 5 years to come out with the new album and to be honest this is probably their worst album to date. Ben Moody's We are the Fallen wasn't great either but it was definitely better than the new Evanescence album. The fact is Evanescence is incomplete without Ben Moody!
I, personally, am glad Ben left. I think Evanescence is better off. I know he helped make it, but it's just so much better without him. I know that my opinion doesn't matter cause it's got nothing to do with me, but I'm going to leave it anyways... I also think he got tired of people giving Amy attention and that's why he left XD oh well..

@kiotocitystories Have you read the interview with Blender? Obviously she filed a suit on her manager but it wasn't for ABUSE, it was for "financial and sexual misconduct". Amy never sued Ben, and I don't think she should have either. But, there was something abusive between them. If you read her interview with blender, then you'll see where I'm getting all this hooplah..

Ben is just amazing.True Evanescence fans should know that he and David Hodges did amazing things to improve the band.The lyrics he writes not just for Evanescence but other singers takes the breath away...Amy is just desperate and now, afterall ,alone....That shows alot.And ,again, this all depends on what you like the most-her voice?Or maybe lyrics instead?Melody or her live concerts (wich r awful)....This is my oppinion :)

@Fantasy230 What i think is that they both had realyl important parts in the band. Ben Moody wrote outstanding music, and Amy Lee performed it. They should have done though as a compromise something like Amy Lee did with Seether.
There both equally amazing but well... are different.
