Wow, thank you Kyle! That was definetely some great advice, and I will definetely take some of those suggestions when I do my next AMV. But now I need a new franchise, etc. to do an AMV for...any suggestions?
At the beginning, you used flashes with the scene of the kids talking, and it just felt out of place, a crossfade would have kept the more relaxed feel going, then you could save your flashes for more intense parts. Also, I simply loved your usage of zooms and such, it really fit with your scenes <3. Seriously, I never really used those when I used WMM, and now I am seriously regretting that. Tat's how well you used it.
Like with what I was saying in my first comment, most of the audio really did need to be muted. Not all of it though. For example, at 0:39, when his sheild came up, that sound really had to go. Also at 1:03, sounds like that just kinda mess up the song. You could keep in some of it like in the transition to 0:18, that worked well. And with the kids talking, you should either make it louder so we can clearly hear what they are saying or just mute. Actually, I guess you can't do that on WMM sorry.
in WMM you can change which audio is louder than the other (music or video volume) using a slider bar thingy. And you can also mute an audio part completely
It was kind of short like Colter said but that isn't neccessarily a bad thing. It would be better to have a short awesome video than a long boring one. Some of my favorite AMV's were only 30 seconds long. If I were you I probably would have ended it after the first chorus after that the clips seem random and out of place. before that you can tell that you thought about where everything should be placed. It did look quite good too, especially for what is your first amv. To be continued again.
Ok, first off, this is amazing and awesome!!!! congratulations Dane, you have now joined the AMV editing cult. I also really liked the beggining, like at 0:18, that was really well timed. What I think would have made this a lot better though would be if you had muted the audio from the game. Maybe you could keep in a few of the explosions that fit the timing, but it kind of gets in the way when the lil kids are talking but you can't hear them or the laseris louder than the song. pretty good. i like the beginning a lot. Idk maybes a little too short. Although there's probly not a ridiculous amount of halo footage to use. foive stez!
