  • How many people work there who wouldn't have a job otherwise?

How much money is it bringing to the community? How much does it donate to local charities?

How many people did all of these "local merchants" that closed because of Walmart employ? Did they get paid vacations and insurance and regular pay raises?

Last but not least, where do you go to find products NOT made in China? If you don't buy those Chinese products at Walmart, you're paying too much. :)

  • I get all my supplies from small buissniusess and they say wal-marts a problem. I dont shop there cause i find better quality products made in america germany englan and france.

  • Yeah, we have a nice office supply store here where you can buy a nice rollerball gell pen for $10. Walmart has the same pen in a 2-pack for $4.

Do you think I'm stupid, TOO? I have 2 of those pens and they're nice. They came in a nifty 2-pack.

  • they have a higher price because wall-mart lowers it so much and it's well known that it can still make a profit but the smaller buissiness then has to up it's prices to make enough profit to survive

  • why is walmart not flying the chinese communist flag after all they are a communist supporter they forced the closing of many manufacturers in this country to import the unsafe junk from china - You buy at walmart you buy from the communist state of China - did our troops lose their lives fighting communism for this -

  • Money wins.

  • wtf i want a cookie thingy here in Southampton new york!

  • Video would have been better if they had used Randy Watson, he played Joe the Policeman in the What's Goin' Down episode of That's My Mama.

  • Haslett is not really a small town anymore, it is more of a sprawling suburb with the cookie cutter strip malls, subdivisions etc.

Some call it "progess" others an example of the commercial franchise of the American dream.

  • Damn, I really liked this video. I hate to say it though. I went to Walmart just the other day to get batteries. It's too damn convenient. Really well constructed documentary though. Loved it.

  • omg! u have a drive through cookie thing!

  • The people from Michigan should do as the people of Boston during the revolution. Block the roads and protest. If customers can't get in, then no one could buy anything. If no body could buy anything, then Walmart lose money. The downfall on there side is they lose profits and beneficially for the people of Michigan Walmart would close down. Of course its just an idea. I don't know if its illegal or not.

  • this looks like such a cute town i wished i lived there!!

  • this video makes haslett look little, poor, and trashy!!!! haslett dznt look that bad, and walmart was sooooo needed!!!

  • i love walmart. It has everything you can imagine.

  • You fucking commies. You really need to get over all that crap your liberal, unionized teachers pound in your head. It's called freedom of trade. And that isn't drainage land, it's swamp. Stinking, black swamp. I live here, I would know. That's why there's frieking clouds of mosquitoes here. They bought that land fair and square, if you don't like it, don't shop there. That's how capitalism works, commies.

  • Haslett lookes like a cool little town i wish i could live there the high school is really big!!!

  • good vid

  • Grow up. Progress is what Meridian township is about. If you don't like it move to Lainsburg.

  • The Eyde co. developers mentioned in the video

are ruthless people that throw their weight

around on many development issues in the local

    area.

  • i learned something today.... , haslett's area code is 517 xD

  • Wal Mart is monopolizing everything!!!! GREAT JOB:)

  • this is great!

you should check out our walmart film under the name - local business good, walmart bad.

  • LMAO! I can so relate to this vid! I myself hate walmart in Cheboygan, Michgan. Every since Walmart came around alot of businesses went out of buisness.

  • Or .. you could of made an Offer on the land yourself if you really cared about it.
