  • It's Jesse Garon for sure. Take Care Brother!

  • @ Timwgtn

Have you heard "Lustful Earl & The Married Woman" or "Organic Shuffle"?

Both, again, great stories but also really good humorous and,as always, great music.

  • He did a double concert for BBC' TV's "In Concert" in the early 70's.Just him, alone.Would be a great DVD if it could be recovered.

  • This is a man who clearly enjoys his talent....what a great performer, and what a great story, fantasically executed

  • Awesome

  • Wow! This is an example of why its hard not to like this man. Down home sit around the parlor, and having fun. Thanks

  • I saw this clip in the early 80's - 3am- on an Australian music show called RAGE. I freaked out !! Loved it !! It took me months to get hold of a CD. Had to get it imported from Germany - cost me a bloody fortune back then. Then years later got to see TJW live at his first live show at 'The Basement'. Got to go backstage and talk to him. He did most of the talking I just stood there with my mouth hanging open like an idiot. He gave me a hug and sent me on my way. BEST NIGHT EVER !!!!!!!

  • "Would ya'll mind if I set down at your table?" "Cause it's been a while since I've had time to eat. I'll pay ya'll back when I'm able, cause right now the High Sheriff is after me."

  • The girl's name isn't Emily; it's Anna Lee.

  • @gejopari I'm glad me, you and tony joe are the only ones that know!

  • khreat

  • I love this song. Gorgeous man!!

  • i adore him.

  • Brilliant song, and I remember seeing a TV movie about it with the song included. Not sure if TJ played the part of the entrapped kid, but the Sheriff was played by Bo Hopkins who is always ace at playing a questionable Southerner. And I forgot the name of the dude who played the deputy but also well known. And Emily could've been a rather young Jessica Lange.

  • @ozcobblepot218

the song was on one of his first albums - either 1969ish or early 70's

  • grandissimo brano grandissimo Tony Joe

  • this was some 40 years ago - just think what great music he's made since then.he's just raw, true, honest, original, uncompromising talent.many dogs have made much more money but few have approached the level of this man's talent.

  • @xwtfdji ; Dunno if it was that long ago, cos I heard it a lot on radio and saw the film in the 70's when I was growing up.

  • Wow.....thanks for the video. Heard through the grapevine that Tony Joe's working on a new cd coming out soon!
