  • I love this song!

  • Gobbledygook...revealed. (cont)

    6. The 'Loop Remix' function was used.

    - This slices up a (drum) loop, and - depending on complexity parameters - puts it back together in another order at random. Slices can appear reversed or repeated.

    7. This process was repeated until something beautiful was found.

    8. These new samples were triggered over their relevant chords.

    9. A low pass filter was automated to remove obvious transitional clicks, and further remove the intelligibility.

    Voila!

  • The goobledygook vocal... revealed!

    1. There was another melodic line specifically composed, which referenced the chords a lot. I tried to avoid notes that the main vocal was taking whilst still being within the chord.

    2. Sarah sung this new line, which was recorded alongside the song.

    3. The vocal was chopped up into lengths that lasted as long as each chord did.

    4. These segments were sampled into a Yamaha A5000 sampler.

    5. The samples were trimmed and treated as if they were drum loops.

  • My Alarm clock, Golden Syrup, John Hurt in the film adaptation of 1984. What is not to like?
