I want to play this game. After tracking it down on ebay, I can't get it to work on Windows XP. What OS did you play it on, or did you play the Dreamcast version? Do you know where to find or do you have the patch for newer OSs?

I remember picking this up when I was 8 It was the first game I bought with my own money lolz but what really shocked me when I got it was in the intro cut scene the kid said shit I was like wow lolz gd times :P

PC version had better graphics rendering obviously(up to 1024x768 & 32-bit), and ran faster than the ps2/dreamcast versions. The game would crash for unexplained reasons- not sure if other pc users have this problem.

Setting the compatibility to 98 on an XP SP1 machine has it running okay and the game was fully playable with crashes occurring rarely.

Wow, thanks for uploading these man... I played the game back in 2001, but my copy was problematic and it would start reseting my game on its' own around the ship level. I was little back then, but like you said, even if it's a hard game and the graphics not so appealing, I found it charming in every possible way story, atmosphere, art and especially music. It's a twisted little game and I loved it for it. I think Evil Twin is one of the reasons I chose to become an digital illustrator, thanks!

@Packetping Awa, I got ripped off! (paid £10 for it), at least it is in good nick though and it was a family member who paid for it. Note to self: Never buy a game you don't know anything about.... even although I new that already. Still I had never seen the game anywhere before, so that is why I got it. (1 off, like).

Play it, you'll find that a lot of games today could not match it's style.

Gameplay, nostalgia and storyline of Evil Twin beats the living crap out of we get in today's so-called "good games" generation.

@MEGAXSTU I did play it and got stuck, then I found my way to some plant place and gave up. I should really go back to the beggining and compleate it, I hope that the crazy storyline get's better and for me to stop falling off of cliff's!

finally started playing this game , I never wanted to open my sealed DC version of the game, so it took me ages to hunt down the white label promo.

mindblowing. as you said, I can get used to the controls, but the design & athmos just seems to draw me in. awesome, so far I loved the level inside the tree (where you float & catch the fireflies), the best. its truly like in a dream or fairytale.needs to be played with its french audio though, voices fit the chars better imo(french game after all)

Also, anyway, for those who loved this game, i must add that American Mcgee's Alice and Psychonauts are pretty good. The second isn't as dark, but some level clearly remind me of Evil Twin.

I just finished the game (and learned that the composer of the music died in 2005, fuck !) and...Damn, i cheated all the way. Infinite lives. I might have died 10.000 times.

If only this game was really enjoyable, if only it had a better gameplay... Rah.

This was my first 3D video game and never lost the CD, even if the game is pretty old and the controls are buggy this game is a classic in term of story and visual art. All levels are unique and each is an amazing piece of art. Even now I enjoy playing this game, still have it on my PC and in CD.

Well technically that's not true. Ubisoft did indeed develop and publish Rayman 2 but Evil Twin was developed by InUtero and published by Ubisoft so it's two different developers, but one publisher in common ;D

It does, but you can forgive it and its flaws when you get to the cutscenes and when you see some really inspired visuals. Someone here mentioned American McGee's Alice. You may want to try that. It's a similar feel but it has over the top blood and gore. It's actually a really good/fun game because it's not plagued by the same issues as Evil Twin but has all the atmosphere and moodiness. It's pretty easily obtained as well, give it a shot.
