NICE Saddle bags! PONY EXPRESS MESSENGER! Where do I get me one of those!? haha... bike looks good. I see how u parked infront of a NO PARKING signage... lol! Anyway, i ride a Virago 535... gimme a hit, man.
not a bad lookin' bike (for a clone, anyway). do me a favour and take off the goofy sticker on the tank. if theres any adhesive residue left on the tank, u can use any automotive wax and a little elbow grease to remove it . :D
Hey brother, thank you for posting this video. I bought a similiar one (lifan), and your work has givin me inspiration and ideas on how to customise my own bike. I'm glad you've listed all your modifications....and great video. I'm in Austin. forget all those hater comments, any mamas boy can go buy what they want at the dealer. You've made this motorbike your own!
the japs at yamapsycho out engineered harley/davidson on the XV's and this was their first V-twin. for example look at the rod journals on the crankshaft XV-twin has 2 full size bearings and HD has whatever that horseshit setup is on their cranks. but dont get me wrong HD is all american and i'm all texan american. so i say where's the beef ? MFer sushi is fishing bait haha
i have an XVS650 wich is the 535 engine bored and stroked to a 650. BUT! it has less horse power than the 535!?! i think a little more bottom end but i dont know ive never ridden a 535.
If it wern't for these bikes, other bikes wouldn't look so good.
Think about it. If the whole fucking world rode 1200cc Harleys then they would be ordinatry plain jane boring bikes. So with all due respect, don't dis these bikes.
As long as you have service after the sale, what does it matter where the bike originates from? Will someone work on it after the manufacturer's warranty expires? How reliable are parts supplies? Things to keep in mind when shopping.
Hola, si estoy en Peru pero no en lima exactamente sino en el interior del pais aunque debo viajar a Lima para unos tramites. Cuando vienes al Perú?. Muchos saludos y felicitaciones por TEST VIDEO.
since this is a perfect clone of the virago 250. would you know if you could get those saddle bags to fit on the virago? or did those specifically come with ur bike?
Look in Ebay for horse saddle bags they are about 15USD and they don't need anything to be instal on a small bike just remove the pillon seat and reinstall on top of the bags joint, then punch to holes and use some plastic ties to secure the saddle bag to the rear shocks or the frame. add a couple of badges "ebay 20USD" and enjoy

I drill 5 holes at the end of the stock muffler. eventually I remove the baffle by drilling more holes around it an using round drill saw. the sound improved a lot, and the performance to.
Beautiful Bike but for two things that to me look ODD.. one being the Handlebars.. and the other that rear fender-extension thingie.. are they factory? I bet you would love the "Sparto" taillight with the plate bracket on it.. do a google image search..
reply to Holds it Value. One comment let the price of fuel tank back up to 4.50 a gallon. There isn't enough of these size bikes produced as other wise mentioned. I bought a GPZ250G for the wife (Susuki) back during the heat of the Gas prices. We looked hard and I paid 1800 for a machine that needed some attention. I got it all up to speed now but it cost more than it should have. Today I can buy a 1 year old machine for the same price.
nice bike dude! love the saddle bags, where can i buy the same? are those ape hangers? did you change them? nice bike again, those exhaust pipes can fit in on the virago xv400? love virago dude!!
it looks and sounds really nice.. I have to say that living in China and also owning a real virago plus a clone Honda scooter, I find that that brand names don't make an enjoyable ride, that clone Honda is the most reliable engine I've ever come across, while my real virago has tonnes of electrical issues.. go figure.. I love my real virago, but at the end of the day what counts is that you're happy with it and it gets the wind through your hair
I can't find this bike for sale anywhere. Where did you get it? Most of the Chinese made bikes look a little.... well Chinese, but not this one since it appears to be an excellent replication. I own a 2007 GZ250 and just bought a 2009 V Star 250 (Virago). Other than the color, mine is Black Cherry, this bike looks identical. Sounds the same too. These small bikes will hold their value, because production is limited. Dealers would rather sell their monsters for twice as much money.
I dont think they'll hold their value much unless they're origionals, in china these bikes are soooooooooooooo popular, great little bikes which really are getting in the face of the scooter brands over there. The only warning i know of is the clones do not like humidity, that i heard from one of their dealer reps at a show. But still a nice bike ;-)
What value you want to hold in this kind of bike if the price is equal to a decent bicycle. so all you have left is Joy.
And about humidity. it comes with Mikuny carb that is easy to jet. and frame was black powder coated. the only think I will be sacrificing is the Makers badge on my tank the one I have remove and design my own.
Re: To the person who asked about the tank size of the bike
The measurements for the tank, the length is about 21.5 inches, the height is about 7.5 inches at the tallest part, the width is about 26.5 inches at the widest part.
I have customized my bike with a sticker name, which I did on the internet in chrome letters. The total length of the sticker is 6.5 inches by 2 inches. These measurements were copied from the original Virago tank sticker.
If this is a Chinese-made model and not a Yamaha, you cannot get it reparied unless you know how to do it yourself, cause Yamaha, or any other named company won't touch it. That's the deal here in any case. If you know a good non-affiliated mechanic or can repair them yourself, the price makes it worth the clone though.
Hi There. I also got a real Virago with 45 hp. It is real fun to ride this beautifully styled bike. The clones are a bit more "customlike" than the real ones. I do like them as well.
I just bought me a real Virago. It has 45 (!) hp and runs perfectly. If I had known about clones for the half price I paid for mine I surely would have bought a clone. But: Virago or clone - very niet and beautiful little bikes. A lot more worth of attention to put on them than they appear to attemt
Nice! I have that bike, its blue though, $1700 a few years ago. Its great. 9000kms.
I'm replacing the front sprocket for a 17th one for better mpg and less vibration at higher speeds, also so that first gear can be used for more than 'stump pulling' and won't be so 'torquey'.
I get 58.5mpg (no sprocket yet), what numbers are you getting?
My bike gives sometimes 60 to 75 MPG depending on the wind conditions since I always drive in the open highway.
I really don't know what kind of sprocket my bike came with but I am certain that is the one your are talking about because I can give a long run in first gear and the top speed of my bike is about 90Miles with no wind.
I want one bad i am fixin to be 32 and would like a small bike since i havent rode in about a decade.Goin to work and back and cruisin. Its beautiful.Would a yamaha 250 v star be good.2008 for 3600 smaks not bad.

Here in USA the engine size of my machine is almost a joke. But every where I go, the girls give thumbs up! So I assume that it has to do with the size of something else? Jahajahaa jahajaha
There are more than 12 of these on the delta club online forum that have over a 100,000 miles on them. You have no clue what you are talking about. A true v-twin, 258 cc displacement, 5 speed, electric starter, wide comfortable seat, total yamaha parts interchangeable, dual slide carbs, vaccuum actuated petcock fuel valve, under 300 lbs, loads of fun. Had her to 70 uphill. Topped at 80 on highway w/about a fifth of the throttle left. Very dependable.
