@bbenjoe Yeah I just caught that as well, pretty trippy!!! I'm glad they kept the original ending though. For the protagonists in this movie, there's more substance in justice opposed to revenge.

It would have been nice to have had English subtitles for Ken Takakura's Japanese. Yusaku Matsuda was chilling!

The staff understood the essence of Japan well, and I got a wonderful roll.

About the diffrence of making movie,

for example, it is impossible in Japan to shut off traffic, and use strong writing in Osaka.

By the way, this movie is the last work for Matsuda, he had already suffered from the deadly cancer when having taken a picture.

In Japan, this movie is remembered as the the only co-starring work by Takakura and Matsuda, Charismatic actors who represented each age.
