Keep in mind that your dog needs to be a high level treasure hunter in order to find the weapon. Also, you don't have to beat the game in order to get this weapon.

The dog won't find the dig spot on the first go. You have to go in, unlock all the doors/kill the dudes. Then leave. Go back in and he should find the spot right off. He might run in circles like a retard once you get to the spot. If he does that, just tell him what a good boy he is. BOOM Enforcer.
