@FilipKid Easier said than done. Neither a flight direct from Manila to ONLY Vancouver or Las Vegas would be able to fill up the entire cabin. Each time I fly this route, there are still a lot of empty seats, and thats with two destinations accounted for. PAL has no plans on renovating the A340 (including TVs) since they will eventually phase out of these aircraft.

I know you're entitled to your opinion. However, comparing Vancouver which is the number 1 most livable city in the world to Cebu which is perhaps NOT even on the list doesn't seem close.

i loved that flight. i hated PR 107.

because PR107 is a gruelling 14.5 hours while 106 is just 11 hours perhaps?

oh blame it to the international date line its like my flight from Frankfurt main Flugafen our flioght took us 16 hrs in going to frankfurt but it took us only 12 hrs during our return flight

In the itinerary it would say how long the duration of the flight is, and 107 is about 14.5 hours and 106 is 11 hours. It could be due to the headwinds and the rotation of the earth vs the plane's heading. I understand the plane going to Vancouver would take advantage of the jet stream...maybe I'm wrong...

You're correct that the flight from Manila to Vancouver would take advantage of the jet stream. However, the rotation of the Earth has nothing to do with getting from A to B faster. For instance, it's not like someone will jump straight up in the air and land 20 feet away.

When I flew from Vancouver to Manila, we flew in a Great Circle route (shortest distance). On the way back, we rode the jet stream, which was pretty bumpy.
