Thomson FTW - Thomas cook mess you about. I had a 6 hour flight to Egypt. First it was delayed 5 hours, then it was taken off of the airports screens. Then when we boarded we had to circle around Manchester for 3 hours to burn fuel. we got there 2 days later. I'm sure their slogan is 'don't book with Thomas cook cos they'll fuck your holiday up'.
This needs to be updated. The leg room ive noticed is bad, I cant imagine what BA is! The food has went down hill. In 2007 when this ad was made, the food was decent. 2009 was terrible! in 2010, we didn't even bother with food. Don't be a cheapskate Thomson!

You pointed out that Thomson Airways offer more leg room than British Airways in economy, but you failed to point out what British Airways offers that you don't. With your premium cabin, you didn't mention that British Airways offers more legroom than you, you didn't mention that you charge for food and drink on all flights (all free with British Airways) and you also didn't mention that better baggage allowances can be had with other airlines (23kg with British Airways).

So it is like going to the cinema, if you go to a cinema with a small choice of films shown on a tiny screen!

However, this video neglects to mention the legroom offered on shorthaul flights (28 inches - less than Ryanair and Easyjet - check Skytrax website for proof) and the fact that they had one of the worst punctuality records in Europe for the 2007-2008 period.
Of corse they are, thomsonfly are the biggest charter airline in the whole of europe. And shorthaul, it depends what aircraft you are on, if you get a 737, the legroom is malller than a 757.
ThomsonFly have ordered loads of 787 dreamliners soo i really think ThomsonFly well going too be Thomson Airways after merging with First Choice Airways will be 1 of the best airlines in the UK!

The legrom on thomas cook is a bit cramped and the meals are a bit small and they seem to use smaller aircraft from stansted to bigger places like turkey and cyprus for example. but i heard thomson fly uses 757s from stansted, not A320s. because i'm a stansted flyer.
we booked a 2 week villa holiday with thomson, they failed to tell us a villa was being built next door, we had no apology and thomson would not admit they were in the wrong, i only hope all thomson staff spend £1000s on a holiday and have 2 weeks of hell, then they would become human and not just have customers money off them then the customer turns into shit and is to be treated so, never again!!!
they are crap thomas cook are way better. i went with thomson to dom rep the crew are so rude and the planes are crap. the kids meals are rubbish and the adult meals are worse. you only ever get one free drink and you dont get special check in.

This is probally because you didnt have a 767 aircraft, egypt isnt longhaul, lonhaul is mexico, florida, and the carribean.

on the 757 it is alot more confortable.
The leg room is the same but instead of the 2-4-2 it is a simple 3-3.
