Um...I'm pretty sure a fused SSJ3 would be THAT much stronger than Goku's SSJ3...Especially considering the HUGE difference in their power levels as it is. If they both could go SSJ3 by themselves and then fuse it would be another thing....But, Nope. No way SSJ3 Gotenks would have stood a chance against Baby as he was if Goku as a SSJ4 was struggling. That, Would be as much BS as Super 17 being way stronger than SSJ4.
@dragonballzforever18 AF is a very popular fan comic that acts as the sequel to GT. Pan and Bra learn to go super sayian, the characters start training again, you see what happened to Goku after he left with Shenron. This is just my opinion but even though it's fan made, it's way better than GT and the artwork would make you believe it was made by professionals. Check it out.

I mean, a regular fusion far surpasses SS3.. And unlike him and Vegeta, Gotenks can go SS3 WHILE fused.
