My husband and I visited Lake Tahoe august 2010. I think it's a beautifull place and most of all, I remember the strong scent of trees and cones.

Lake Tahoe is on of my favorite places to go in California. You also are close to Donner Lake with its museum and history, and if you go to Tahoe City, you can rent a bike and ride along the Truckee (I think) river on a bike path and end up at a great restaurant to get a bite to eat. Wonderful.
