  • <3 the commentators oooooooh tá sé sin dion D if that was soccer the commentators would be going absolutely mad and the player would have been on the ground rollin around like a dope

  • Tommy is a legend

  • broken leg?

  • Comment removed

  • o you forgot to wear shin pads.. im sorry

  • and no rolling about like a drama queen and no whinging to the ref... just straight back up and at 'em... the Tullaroan way

  • tommy gets a taste of his on medicine.

  • Hard bastard

  • tough cunt walsh - upp de rebels

  • Tommy's one of the all time greats. unsurpassed passion, skill and consistent excellence. the 9 All-Star awards in a row and 7 All-Ireland medals at only 28 years of age speak for themselves. no quarter asked or given on the field of play, no complaints when he's on the receiving end of dirty strokes (and many's the time he has been). just full-on passion. he comes from a great family too. a great Tullaroan, Kilkenny and Irish sportsman... so fuck the whining begrudgers & armchair experts...

  • wtf are the comentators saying?

  • @fkiref90 speaking in irish on tg4 i understand them but it wud take ages 2 write dwn all of it!

  • this guy plays AFL now

  • @tricepsish No this guy plays hurling with Kilkenny. The Tommy Walsh your thinking of is from Kerry and he does play AFL now

  • now he sees what its like

  • @citizenkay

I think it's the accent, everyone's so used to english being spoken fluently from an irish accent that when they hear the same accent speak another language fluently and naturally it sounds like they're still attempting to speak english, if that makes any sense.

  • He is a great hurler but def a dirty one.

  • the greatest player ever ,and tough as nails .Hurling is a mans game and thats the way it should remain . if people want to see pussy sports hurling is the wrong game to be watching.

  • @gavinb000 Dead fuckin' right. It is the most skilled sport ever. Simple as that...

  • walsh is a dirty player??why dont u watch a match and see the abuse he gets before he dishes out his own??never fails to outmark his man so he gets punished by all the jealous "hurlers on the ditch" because of it?!thats not a hurling fan!!just keep collecting the rewards tommy and go down as the greatest wing back the game has ever seen!!COME ON THE BLACK AND AMBER!!

  • Lovely hurling, Walshe is a very dirty player.

  • i'm sorry, but gaelic just sounds like gibberish.

  • @dchockeygoali07

But every other language in the world is intelligible to you??

  • @citizenkay more so than this drivel.

  • tommy walsh isn't a knacker. A friend of my family, very kind man, just has a mad head in sport

  • I dont think that this hybrid game brought out the true qualities of hurling. I think that it brought the game down to a lower skill level for the Irish players. I do have respect for the game of shinty but I think that the 2 sports are in no way compatible.

  • press 4 for commentators reaction. "oh-ho-ho-hooooooooo!"

  • Firstly this is not Hurley its a combination of scottish camanachd (shinty) and Irish Hurley at an international level played on the same field. basically two different sports with the same ancient origins. The rules are not for the faint hearted its a rough game and these guys were not being aggressive or grudging they were playing the game.

  • Why is there aussie rules football goal posts on the field?

  • @KISSKID987 good man

  • @KISSKID987

Because this game was played as the under card to the international rules final last year I think

  • Comment removed

  • @KISSKID987 You get an A+

  • pity he didnt break his leg.hes a great hurler but he is a dirty player!!

  • @bhchargers He's hardly worse than most players, he's a small fella so big guys are always out to get him as well. Compare him to a player like John Mullane who is just an out and out knacker.

  • @mendoza2909 how is john mullane a knacker??walsh has beb sent off more times!!mullane went 1!!

  • @bhchargers Okay..I love John Mullane. Great Hurler. But my first impression when I saw him: Tough-Ass King of the Tinkers...

  • 0:20

  • 0:18

  • @lucasB823 you take the side of a hurl across the shins and tell ms it has little contact. You'd be crying like a bitch.

  • @lucasB823

People get hut over the head with the hurleys, get stepped on, kicked, tripped punched.. I could go and on :)

    @LimerickWarrior

    Stop being a touchy asshole..

  • @mrk12484 u are a complete retard

  • @BlauHD i agree

  • @mrk12484 I'm supposing you've never got hit with a hurley or a slap of a sliothar no??? It's no game for pussies!!!

  • Good enough for da dirty scut

  • them shinty sticks ar fuckin bullet proof ....my brother was suppost to get 2 stitches in his knee over 1 of um....

  • @hoggie094 2 stiches? lol after every hurling game i play some of our players have to get stiches! and im only 14

  • @THEIRISHVL97DIMIR how? from what ive seen this sport has very little contact.

  • @lucasB823

Its about skill not contact, look you miss the point so move along. You cant learn the game if your questioning the sport then you will never get it.

  • @LimerickWarrior1 im not questioning the sport. i was replying to a comment that this sport has tons of contact, which it doesnt. I understand that it obviously requires a ton of practice and skill, and it looks like a very difficult sport.

  • @lucasB823

you must be joking no contact

  • @iSlapFatKidz what?

  • nobody else see the bit where the scottish guy got a massive hit on the side of the cheek with the hurley stick and had to crawl to the side line with blood pouring out of his nose.

  • Karma is a bitch

  • @MrTipperaryGooner

I was thinking the same, he spends a fair amount of time hitting anything but the ball.

  • not like tommy never hit ne1 a belt himself

  • what language are the commentators speaking?

  • @wisconsinpoofly irish

  • @wisconsinpoofly It's Irish, the native language in Ireland. The guy who gets hit here has a reputation for doing this kind of thing himself. They're joking that Tommy has never done anything like that in his life.

  • about time he got his just desert

  • job

  • jaysus it would take a hit like that to put him down
